This is usually fun...what cards does everyone consider overrated in the upcoming set? Underrated? Just plain rated? Of course, I'll start.
OVERRATED:
Growing Rites of Itlimoc
Twenty bucks? For THIS? The front half is really bad, folks. Seriously, there have been a dozen versions of this effect printed and they've all been better than this. Yeah, you might open the door to that sweet Gaea's Cradle on the flipside, but your opponent gets to play, too. Most decks will be able to keep this from flipping until it's irrelevant, wait until it flips and then sweep, or just kill you while you're spending 3 mana on a barely-glorified Oath of Nissa.
UNDERRATED:
Search for Azcanta
People think this is good, but it's better than that. The strictly-better Think Tank on the front is already playable, and the flip side is absolutely bonkers for any control deck. I got a couple copies at $3, but I'm thinking about getting two more--before people get on the floor with this and see just how good it is.
RATED:
Ripjaw Raptor
I expect to see everybody walk the dinosaur hype back a little--the dino decks I've seen have pretty serious issues with Ramunap Red--but this is quite good on its own, if not unbeatable. It's weak to non-damage-based removal, but a 4/5 for 4 isn't utterly embarrassing by itself, and it plays well with the already-sweet Walking Ballista. The consensus that it's one of the top cards in the set seems right, although that might not be the case with a lot of sets.
This is not a Rumor, moved to New Card Discussion - Wildfire393
This is not a rumour?
There's an entire sub-group for these kinds of threads called 'Speculation'
I agree with your list so far.
The whole Rumor Mill is not Rumors, but about News.
I also agree with both enchabtments. Im convinced to buy the blue enchantment now
Green one is utterly overpriced & overrated.
Also: When is the next Ban-announcement ?
I hope Copter gets unbanned ^^®
Madness. Unbanning Copter means 90% of standard decks will start off with 4x Copters. It will be the premiere 2-drop.
At the very least there are answers to it now so it wouldn't be as bad as it was before, although I'm sure you are right in that it would be in about every deck.
growing rites of ilmoc
search for azcanta
siren stormtamer
all 3 walkers
all rare vehicles
Kopala
underrated:
shapers sanctuary (my #1 pick, this card is bonkers and just super good against ballista)
rampaging ferocidon
dowsing dagger
rowdy crew (I'm serious, this replaces itself and might end up with a huge body. it has potential at the very least)
sword-point diplomacy (3 life is a lot, this also has potential and shouldn't be a 10 cent bulk rare)
vraskas contempt (this is a fair card with blue gearhulk and might push UB control over the top. its just super good against everything, exiling gods and walkers all day long plus giving you life which is great against rdw)
I'm SO SICK of the "too strong for Standard" argument. It's the new "Dies to removal". We can have a two mana 4/4 with a zillion abilities, but we can't just have Accumulated Knowledge. Makes sense.
Overrated: Carnage Tyrant. I base this on the fact that neither Plated Crusher nor Scaled Behemoth saw any play outside of Sealed/Limited, except in some home-brew deck which happened to perform well during one or two weekend tournaments. Maybe the addition of both "cannot be countered" and "trample" will make the difference but even after we got Prowling Serpopard no one used the big green creatures. Of course, this might be because Ulamog was still a thing. White will still be the color of choice to deal with it, though, whether by slowing it down, making its attack pointless, killing it, exiling it, or taking away its abilities.
Don't misunderstand me--it is definitely a powerful creature and if you play it in Sealed or Limited you are going to win (unless you make a really horrible mistake), but its current $22.50 hype train isn't going to last all that long. If I wind up being incorrect...well, then *shrug* I won't worry about it.
Itlimoc isn't worth 20 dollars, it is nonetheless a solid utility card. Most green decks have no trouble having 4 creatures out on turn 3. Elves can pop this thing on turn 2 with a heritage druid in opening hand, or maybe it can dig for the little dude. It costs 3 mana for a reason. It's a good top deck, at the least.
The front side of Azcanta is good. It's scry into your graveyard every turn. Easy to flip, backside digs more at a mediocre rate. Combo card finder. It will probably gain a little bit of value but do you really want to cast this on turn 2? Or topdeck it?
Not sure about Raptor, it seems so situational. The payoff doesn't seem worth combo'ing off this card. Maybe someone can break it.
The only problem with the lands is that every deck should have some sort of land hate in the sideboard. Going through hoops to get them cracked means don't build around them.
It depends entirely on the meta. In a RDW meta I imagine it will under perform. But you have to hype something right? It is nigh unbeatable for control. Pretty much sweeper or bust and you have 2 maybe 3 turns to find it. In the midrange mirror it is also a very good curve topper since it will give you board advantage.
My pick for most underrated card is Merfolk Branchwalker. This card is legitimately nuts. 2/1 that draws a card is good and 3/2 that scry's is good. Both modes get you one card closer to action and both bodies are very relevant. I think it is comparable to rogue refiner. I'm not sure for overrated since I haven't been reading comments, but probably Huatli, Warrior Poet or Regisaur Alpha. I can't imagine playing either in a meta without efficient answers to glorybringer although they will probably be fine at fnm.

The green flip card by far yes I u derstand the flip side is a strictly better and budget gaea's cradle but the fatal mistake everybody is making is this is really hard to flip outside Commander the one and only deck that can flip it easily outside edh is modern elf tribal.
carnage tyrant at first it was not going to be here but that's was until those greedy people suddenly wanted $22 for it which hasen't seen play yet. Right there immediately tells me they are jumping the gun on a counterspell proof hexproof and trampler that's a 7/6 it's not worth that much I say it's worth $8-$14 by how well it will play in standard.
That's definitely an honorable-mention overrated pick for me. I mean, Sagu Mauler didn't get near constructed, either, and I didn't hear a lot of people saying it was one point of power away from greatness (to be fair, this set is very much not Khans of Tarkir). The Tyrant is probably good SB against control, at least.
Underrated: Admiral Beckett Brass He will not see play before Rivals came out, but once it does, i think a pirate agro can become meta. Burning Sun's Avatar with the amount of suport dinos have i can see comming down as soon as turn 4, and none the less it is a creature removal in a bigboot. Yes, GloryBringer is better, but i see this big boy seeing some play Conqueror's Galleon a nice card for control decks, the bad thing is that u need creatures in the deck to make it flip, but with new jace/giddeon/glory bringer/etc u get a land that can bring back sweepers, discard, counterspells, etc. It is like: u flip u can't lose Revel in Riches nah, just a joke. the card has potential to be the center of a deck, but would demand too much to be good
Overrated: Captain Lannery Storm don't see this being really good, a $0.75 card, yes, not a $3 card ever Carnage Tyrant a bit overpriced, just it. Looks like a $8-10 MR assuming that dinosaurs or green based midrange ( other than temur energy , who like this) becomes meta Rowdy Crew i can't see this seing play in any formart other than limited and mormir vig format in mtgo. $1 for it, ok, maybe someone will try, $3 ? hell no. This is the new Tibalt in badness, but as it is not a Planeswalker, we can't use it as a joke. I can only see this being good vs monument decks, but then again, Abrade would be better
Underrated: Ranging Raptors. Enrage is trivial to enable and can sometimes be triggered more than once per turn via effects like Rile, Pounce, or Savage Stomp before combat. If you get to put two (or more) basic lands onto the battlefield via this creature it will have more than served its purpose, even if it dies in the process. Once Constructed rolls around, you can ping it as needed, as well.
I appologize but I primarily play commander so some of my viewpoints are a little different based on that.
Overrated: Growing Rites of Itlimoc honestly, in my opinion commander is as good as its going to get for this card. For standard and Modern this card is just going to get worse and generally speaking you only need a single copy for commander. Sure, cradle is a strong card but its SOOOOO specific as to what kind of decks it belongs in as is this version. If you ask me this is a solid $5-$10 card but that is it. This card is completely over hyped considering commander players probably only need like a single copy given it doesn't fit all that many decks being a creature heavy / token build really. I ended up preordering essentially every card from this set I wanted other than this card because I don't see its price holding where it is once the product is in the hands of people who play and test it they will see. Legion's Landing again I am coming from primarily a commander standpoint but 4 mana per token is really not a good count. You really want 2-3 mana per token tops. The fact that the token lacks flying and is a 1/1 is really awkward to me. Sure its kind of a throwback to outpost but removal has gotten worse and creaturs have gotten better since then. The flip clause is going to make it really hard to play in a control shell which is part of how Kjeldoran Outpost used to work so.... I actually don't think this is going to see much play anywhere. I went through a lot of token based EDH decks as well as a vampire deck when this came out and I just don't love it. Its not really worth much so its hard to say its overrated but honestly.... the more I toy with the concept of this card the lower I rank it among this cycle.
Underrated: Search for Azcanta I think this is a fantastic piece of control. Its cheap to drop in and its effect is just going to be solid for a control deck even without flipping. When it does flip its just going to make the control deck go nuts and turn into a sick card advantage engine. Honestly, I think this card is a stronger and better card than Growing Rites of Itlimoc. I say this from the standpoint that it plays to the colors identity better and I think its more realistic to generate value than Growing Rites of Itlimoc is going to be. Honestly if this card took off in use / cost it would not surprise me at all.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Although my favorite card in the set, I think Jace, Cunning Castway is madly overrated. "Infinite with Doubling Season" stopped being a valid justification as soon as Doubling Season saw print. I'd rather pay 1 more mana and bomb Tamiyo, Field Researcher for an impervious Omniscience and 3 cards instead of having infinite 2/2s and giving my opponent a turn in between. In EDH, even if you did pull off that kind of win with Jace, assuming you didn't eat a board wipe when your next turn came around, you'd be hated for going infinite with minimal effort anyway - whereas an ultimate like Tamiyo gives you the game while actually playing it with massive advantage, instead of setting up a solitaire situation, for example. I just feel there are better examples of cards to use with Doubling Season if you're so inclined, and frankly, one card being the sole justification for why another could be decent isn't valid reasoning at all.
