Pool one: had Skyship and a bunch of fabricates with two sky skifs. Went 1 and 3 mainly because I was hungover and couldn't do anything remotely like thinking. However I found Soveriegn Skyship to be incredibly great and easy to trigger and get out with enablers. Did anyone else feel this way?
Pool two I got a Chandra, Soveriegn Skyship and two vampire white Hawks. I also got two aetherstorm Rocs and I went 3-1. Needless to say with Key to the City I had a blast( this card seems playable in standard however I don't play it am I wrong?
All in all Kaladesh seems fantastically playful and fun. My only complaint is the Metalwork Collosus doesn't have trample. If it did I'd have lost every game I won. Even then it was still played 3times in one game on me and one time for 0.
I had a blast. My pool had 3 Attune with Aethers, an Aether Hub, and a Cultivator's Caravan with no particular standout colors, so I built a 5 color goodstuff deck with Architect of the Untamed and Aethersquall Ancient that went 3-2. I never had problems hitting my colors, and excess cards and extra land got fed to Cathartic Reunion. Mana fixing in Kaladesh is so strong at common and uncommon that I'm considering trying a 5 color strategy out in draft. A couple of Hubs or Prophetic Prisms early on and I'd be able to play most of the cards I draft with ease. Deck was a little slow, though.

it seems like a bomb, but this format is *full* of critters larger than X/2,

At worst it's a 6 mana 5/5 flier though. That can't be to bad.

From what I heard, the Demon is a bomb. Yeah, it isn't a 100% win, but seriously, it costs 6 mana. Now, of course, your opponent could have all toughness 3 or greater dudes, you have all less than 3 toughness dudes, and it ends up screwing you over, but it's a demon. That's what they do. It's still a 5/5 flier with a Pyroclasm and a repeatable Zombify for 6.

1) He's a 5/5 flier for six
2) he generates a pile of energy
3) While there are a bunch of X/3s, there are also endless tokens and flying idiots he kills
4) the reanimation ability is pretty damn good
I don't see how he's not a bomb. Is he the biggest bomb in the format? Well, no, but he's probably in the top 10. The format is pretty bomby (I mean, hello sovereign) but it's a good card.
