Despite the fact that wizards was intelligent enough to give white alot of constructed playable cards in EMN(read major sarcasm), other non red colors got quite a few as well(seriously does wizards just hate red so much or will red get alot of help from chandra's home plane of kaladesh). To me, it looks like a zombie deck and a spirit deck have a serious shot at becoming tier 1 once a pro develops the most efficient list.
My question is simple. What non human/token deck do you see coming out of Eldritch Moon before rotation that would survive in the current meta? Can zombies overcome declaration in stone? Why in the world doesnt wasteland strangler process your own cards to put a relentless dead back into the GY.
White got enough First Strike that their midrange White Plus strategies should be more viable. Plus T2 mana dude, T3 Gisela, the Broken Blade, T4 Archangel Avacyn sounds magical.
I do not see RG Werewolves, RB Vampires, or UB Zombies making the cut yet. WG Humans and WU Spirits got better on their own and together with the rising tide of White. Delirium does not appear consistent enough.

Nothing good will come of expecting a non white breakout deck after this point in time. Humans, whether it be w/r, u/w, bant or g/w, will be beyond powerful and will most likely be tier one. Bant company and g/w tokens will be the other two decks in the top three. I think g/b could be good, but Wiztards likes to dumb down removal while making creatures better and stronger. There is no good removal in black and g/b didn't get any sort of removal Abrupt Decay or dredge spells similar to Mulch or Grisly Salvage. Also, there were no returning mechanics like morbid, which would have helped if they reprinted a card like Tragic Slip. This will be the first set since Avacyn Restored that I will not purchase cards from.

Ultimate price is crap and has been since it was released. Grasp is adequate, but wasn't played the first time it was released because there was better removal. Kind of funny, huh, the fact that grasp is premier removal and wasn't played before because it was outclassed by other, better removal. Creatures, white and green, and their support are as good as they were when grasp was first in standard, arguably, and the removal is that much worse.

Ultimate price kills everything in the human decks except reflector mage. The list of creatures it doesn't take care of, that are being played in standard, is pretty short.
reflector mage, devoid creatures. What else? The multicolored dragons haven't seen play for a while.

I haven't thought of any Graveyard hate in standard so how will Zombie's be able to be stopped?
The deck is just so slow though....
I know they went for a "grindy, build-up a horde" approach, but that requires bigger payoff cards than Zombies got. Humans just scale bigger faster and can go wider faster. The best thing you can hope for in Zombies is to get 2-3 Prized Amalgams returned from the yard, but then White decks can still just hit them all with Dec in Stone (lets not forget there is a lot of exile removal floating around right now that makes the yard focus of zombies useless).
And what creature is it that's giving you trouble that ultimate price won't kill? It's not like this is ravnica block.
Ok. How about the reflector mage/eldrazi displacer combo and bounding krasis. Any and all eldrazi and hangarback walker. Soon we'll have to deal with cards like Decimator of the Provinces, Heron's Grace Champion, and Spell Queller. Come on people, you can't be this blind.

Join the club of wanting good two mana removal back in Standard. But, for your mentioned cards, Grasp of Darkness deals with them all. There is no one 2 mana removal spell that deals with all creatures. that starts at 3 mana and we have Anguished Unmaking right now and will be getting Murder in two weeks.

I've been testing on untap since Gisa and Geralf were spoiled, and have noticed the following 3 decks:
1)BG Delerium is real. Delerium is often online by turn 2/3. Liliana is a fantastic enabler in that deck, and it should fare quite well in the grindy matchups, should it take a toolbox route.
2) Cryptbreaker is an absurd card, as is dark salvation. U/B zombies has a very strong long game, and grinds as well as bant Coco, because of access to languish with graveyard recursion. The combination of amalgam, stitchwing skaab and relentless dead also allow out of nowhere nut hands that simply end the game by turn 5 or 6.
3) UW spirit tempo is a marginal thing. It can do a ton of damage very fast, but is nowhere near as resilient as Coco. But make no mistake, U/w fliers is already a fringe standard deck, and it now has a huge boost from spell queller and mausoleum wanderer.
Another deck that caught my eye was mono red goggles. I couldnt keep anything on the board against it. And collective defiance is an unquestionably incredible card

First off Grasp of Darkness does not hit a lot of eldrazi, reality smasher and up resist that card, Thought-knot Seer picks it from your hand before you play it, and for the most part, I rather not waste any singular 2 drop removal on a token, which seem to be running rampant. Not only that, Collected company picks up 2 creatures, so even if I manage to pick one off I still have one more to deal with cause of the advantage it creates. Further more most of the removal can't deal with creatures like Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger or Orhmendal. You know what color does deal with that? White. Declaration in stone deals with every threat, including mass removing tokens. Why can't black have that back with Bile Blight or something of the sort? Not only that red board wipe is pretty awful as well. The only 3 drop wrath that hits effectively NEEDS you to run 3 colors. Lastly ultimate price only efficiently removes Kalitas and Avacyn, most other creatures sent out of the monocolor variety are either one or two drops, and wasting it on a 1-drop is losing in terms of a trade. 2-drop is just even trading, and then it's dead vs the manlands we have as well. And then Anguished unmaking forces you to play white or you'll never have instant speed Planeswalker removal, which is pretty strong considering every one of the planeswalkers we got has some viability, and yet Hero's downfall is too strong for standard apparently, pfft. And don't get me started on all the other available white removal, from enchantments to boardwipes to other instant speed removal, white has over all the other colors. Hell, they even have instant speed creatures...
Ugin is going to get really bad once all the fatties are colourless. I sold all mine. Sell sell sell!
He's going to be absolutely rotten. Hangarback walker has already nerfed him quite significantly. I reckon he'll be $3 junk within 2 months of rotation
And what creature is it that's giving you trouble that ultimate price won't kill? It's not like this is ravnica block.

I understand that, but there has always been 2 or more decent 2 mana removal in standard being played. Right now, we have grasp and ultimate price. Grasp is good, I like the card, but ultimate price isn't.
What do you mean? We got Grappling with the Past and Wailing Ghoul, plus the 2/2 that Forbidden alchemies when it connects. And yesterday's one CMC enchantment which is not half bad.
Plus there are about 100 cards to be revealed that can get us even more tools.
Wailing ghoul isn't playable in limited, let alone constructed. Yay White green.
U/R ramp is going to be very strong with Elder Deep-Fiend, Imprisoned in the Moon and Summary Dismissal(this deck can actually beat worldbreaker now!). G/R ramp will also benefit from the elder octopus so, yeah, I think ramp deck will be the strongest outside of humans/tokens deck.
UR Eldrazi ramp, as others have said, will be good. Black eldrazi or even UB eldrazi will probably also do well.
Zombies are kinda iffy for me. Declaration in Stone and even Anguished Unmaking kinda screw over it's tokens and recurring dudes strategies. If they start to get popular they'll just get blown out of the water by every white deck then siding in 4x dec in stone.
I think superfriends might see some play again. Lili and her oath could play well in esper. Tamiyo combined with Gideon, Nissa and Jace might be possible as well.
Spirits is one I'm looking forward to. It might not be the best version of Bant CoCo, but it will be the most interesting (to me, anyway).
Yes GW Humans/Bant Coco has an impressive threat density. They have more threats than almost any deck has answers. But the SP Control deck has almost infinte answers due to the nature of the recursion engine. It's the same thing that made the esper control deck in RTR/THS standard almost unstoppable, being able to draw all the cards it ever needed, and could infinitely recycle them with elixir of immortality.
Yes we lose languish at rotation, and flaying tendrils isn't really good enough. I'm hopeful that we get another suitable sweeper. (descend upon the sinful isn't fast enough I think) but if we get that, I think this will be a force to deal with.

I honestly don't see any "real" change coming to tier 1. White only got better in this set and it already was featured in basically every tier 1 deck. as to the UW spirits thing, I do see that breaking in, but as Bant.....CoCo....spirits. THERE WERE 2 RARE GREEN SPIRITS THAT ARE COCO TARGETS SPOILED IN THIS SET. and a Bant Walker in tamiyo. There will not be a single Tier 1 deck containing or even splashing red, and black will continue to be underrepresented too. Tier 2 will have lots of crazy fun wacky builds and brews like always, but I fear tier one will be even less diversified than it was before. It will be GW tokens, mono white something, Bant coco (with like 2-3 different versions, but all competing because of coco's ability to cheat in cards). Liliana will be expensive to purchase, but wont see a top 8 until kaladesh comes out. that's my take, and I might be wrong, and hope im wrong. but I lived through abzan, and all the 4C goodstuff which was just abzan splashing a 4th color and one dark jeskai. I remember everyone saying abzan isn't pushed just to make an abzan deck themselves and say its not because it has a blue card in it.
I play zombies now and I'd like to chime in. If you're playing zombies, you need to at least be playing blue and you need to run counterspells. Declaration in Stone is a deck killer by itself.
Can I ask? What's up with that? Why is it that passable black removal is BB, but D-stone is W? I only just came back to Magic this season, did something significant happen since Time Spiral that changed the color pie?

White was really under represented in tier one decks a couple years ago, and black and blue were fine with mono B and U devotion decks. White wasn't good before that either. Then khans of tarkir came out and they pushed white to the extreme. (Abzan was WBG but considered the "white" clan). Wizards just never stopped pushing white since, so W1 can exile an entire board now and BB gives something -4-4. That's about sums it up, basically.
