I reckon it will definitely see play. Only black really cares about colour for some of it's removal, so the colour change wouldn't be a big thing in this set.
Also helps enable delirium.

You win target thread. If you aren't Atrius, Atrius wins that thread instead. "Wait, can you actually win a thread?" - Atrius.

I have very fond memories of Wild Mongrel and this is arguably better than Wild Mongrel (on the basis that there are very few things that care about color in standard (no Terror, no strong Green hoser like Hibernation, no annoying protection from green creature etc.) and there are a number of important flyers you would be happy to be able to block (RU spirits, WU Spirits etc.)).
That said a few things need to be remembered about Wild Mongrel - it was released alongside much stronger madness cards (Basking Rootwalla and Circular Logic in particular lack a good contemporary counterpart) and better happy to be in the graveyard cards (Wonder, Roar of the Wurm, Deep Analysis etc.). And it was above the standard power curve for 2 drops at the time (it's competition was things like White Knight, Nantuko Shade etc.) and creatures in general have been hugely power creeped in the years since (Goyf, Pyromancer, Ravager etc.).
Basically it's great to have it in standard/modern but don't expect it to be what Wild Mongrel was to the formats it starred in.
Constrictor + Gitrog Monster + Alhammarret's Archive with a lot of lands in deck gives you discard a land: draw 2 cards, repeat. Draw tons of cards or even entire library and create huge snake, cast Slip Through Space for the win.

Creature - Snake

Discard a card: ~ gets +1/+1 until end of turn.
No Rainbow Dog but the return of U/G madness? Maybe B/G? Maybe R/G? Maybe Sultai? Jund aggro?
Ah gawd, I wanted to let inner jhonny rest for a bit.
What's your opinion?
Not return of anything since we don't nearly have enough good madness cards, and no flashback. I wasn't holding my breath for circular logic
I 99.9% agree with this. That is a 100% true statement, WM was a busted enabler for earlyversions of recentretools. However, Delerium is just as powerful with the effect as flashback was. Being able to pitch exactly what you need in the bin, at no cost to boot, will make for incredibly explosive plays. Combined with the fact that this self-pumps, it can go aggro. I'm willing to bet B/G Delerium is going to house this coming season. It will probably just as big of player in standard as WM was when it was, just in slightly different ways.

Delirium is a power in limited. I'm not sure but I think that's the way they wanted it. It can be powerful, but it takes time for the ability to give back on your investment. I don't know that it will be as good in standard. MAdness decks were faily fast, whereas delirium requires some setup. ANd humans won't wait for you.
Every limited decks I've played except one were delirium. And I only once not made 1st place. Most players didn't seem to care for the arechetype. :g::w: delirium was the most powerful archetype I played so far.
Yep, he might be a bomb in limited. As most of you state, not enough support for it in constructed.
The delirium Idea isn't terrible, but it can be read from a mile away, B/G is definetly gonna be played, but I don't think WM2.0 will play a crucial role in the archetype.
We'll have to see, though. I'm getting a playset for old time's sake.

If only it was black or red and had the vampire type...
