So I wanted to try out Seasons Past because it looks like a fun and weirdly abusable card. I have two variant decks, both made to be competitive (I think haha). One is Golgari and the other is Sultai. I'm unsure of which one is better. Both focus on being control decks, wearing down your opponent's resources and keeping them in a corner. When you start to run low on cards and you need to restock, you can use Seasons Past to collect your powerful cards over again! The main win condition now is Rise from the Tides because it seems bomby and fun. Who doesn't like to charge with a bunch of zombies? However, this has let me only use instants and sorceries to get the maximum benefit from my strategy. I have considered builds with other card types as well. I am open to all suggestions, as this is a homebrew deck and I am just testing it! Thanks!
I'm not so sure about this one, but I like the better removal suit as well as more options. Behold the Beyond seems broken with Seasons Past, and when you throw in cards like Silumgar's Command and From Under the Floorboards it seems like this deck could function as an efficient multitool that recycles its own cards and keeps wearing your opponents down.
Does anyone else have any deck ideas featuring Seasons Past?
I dig it. the curve is a bit high though. I cant help but think the perfect pairing with rise from the tides is brain in a jar, provided you have a good representation of every cmc up your curve. I don't feel like this deck is that desperate to be green either. you could just swap out the explosive vegetations for hedron archives and seasons past could become literally anything else.
Sphinx's Tutelage doesn't really make sense unless you are trying to make milling be your win condition. With how SoI looks it might even be actively harmful. You'll also want to lower your curve and spread out your CMC in order to make Seasons Past really worth playing (this will also make the surge cost on Crush of Tentacles worthwhile). Engulf the Shore is a great four drop, Press for Answers gives you something against aggressive decks, Trail of Evidence will probably be an all star in the type of deck your are building.
Confirm Suspicions is not good as a 4 of, if you're playing control in blue add more castable counterspells, 5 mana is a lot. Also half of your sideboard is going to rotate out with Khans.

Good catch; I forgot that they were rotating. Any good suggestions for what to add in place?
A good mix of cards at a good mix of CMCs means you should get at least 3 cards, sometimes 4, off of Seasons which is quite strong. The Legendary Enchantments mean you should be able to load your GY up with them. Tons of card advantage and long, grindy attrition so that you can eventually win the game with an ultimate (or by spamming Chandra and Arlinn's +1 and 0 abilities).
