i wanna Pilot your Attention to a serious Problem. After Rotation, landbases look awful. We have the fetchable Taplands from Zendikar + the Taplands from Oath of the gatewatch & Innistrad. Arent that a lil too few ? Maybe Innistrad will spoil something useful, but if not, then were just left with some taplands once again d:(
Manadorks dont help much either. But im personally glad that the 5 Color Decks are gone.
Yea i mean the Ally colored Rare Dual lands, like the fetchable taplands from Zendikar, or Shocklands from Ravnica, or fastlands from Mirrodin. those rare dual lands, that appear every block.
OH i forgot the painlands. But somehow i doubt Innistrad has dual-colored lands.
Why do you doubt it? It seems obvious to me that Innistrad will have 5 allied rare lands of some kind.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

The slots won't let them reprint any of the existing five-land rare cycles, but I assume they'll have an allied-color cycle. I assume we're going to get some sort of utility land cycle, like Gavony Township and company, which won't produce colored mana.
I think having no more land-fixing will end up making aggro a little weaker. You can still play mono-color, but it won't be as fast as it has been the past couple years. Then again, they might do something like:
Distorted Crags
Land
~ enters the battlefield tapped.
When ~ enters the battlefield, draw a card, then discard a card. T: Add B or R to your mana pool.
Given the nature of the shadowlands--they come in to play untapped if you reveal one of two different types of basic lands--the manabase won't be as bad as many have predicted. Prairie Stream would let you satisfy the untapped etb condition for Choked Estuary, Port Town, and Fortified Village. A 24-land BUW base could be 3x Prairie Stream, 3x Sunken Hollow, 4x Swamp, 2x Island, 4x Plains, 3x Choked Estuary, 3x Port Town and either 2x Caves of Koilos or 2x Forsaken Sanctuary. This gives 12B, 14U, and 12W sources with a pretty good chance of having even a shadowland in play untapped on turn 1 as well as a reasonably high chance of being able to access all 3 colors by turn 3.

the mono colored:
specially if Wizards want us to play BR-Aggro-Vampire there need to be some allies land too in SOI.
also means for such Battlelands in enemy colors that will not happen in SOI and maybe not in next set too.
which dual colored lands do you mean? SOI already has enemy colored taplands.
or do you mean allies colored ones?

In that world, green becomes fairly necessary if you want to play three-color, because they have Natural Connection, Explosive Vegetation, and such. Hell, if you want to run Sarkhan and some planeswalkers and dragons, you can use Oath of Nissa and Haven of the Spirit Dragon to help out.

Which would make vampires supremely mean.
