So which one will you choose? and why? I think I'll be going Jeskai this time as they seem a lot stronger than in KTK. Temur would be my second choice as there seems to be better Ferocious enablers this time. I'm still not interested in playing Sultai though, it still seems weak. Abzan seems okay with Bolster, but Mardu's Dash seems too costly to work well. That said I'm interested in what you guys have to say so please explain your choice.
I have neither the skill to correctly and accurately analyze this set in the context of current and future formats after 12 hours of exposure, nor the hubris to delude myself into believing that I do.
I'm stuck between Abzan and Temur, and I'll probably do 2 events and do both. Both look super solid, I am just not sure which will build a better deck. Green will make them super stable as far as mana, and both have solid support.
Green seems like it has some great support stuff, but will most likely be a lot better in draft than sealed. I'd say white is the strongest color in FRF overall, with great common and uncommon creatures, removal and support. So that said I'm stuck between Mardu and Jeskai. For flavor reasons I tend to lean towards Jeskai, but black seems really strong this set, so I'm not sure yet.
Jeskai. The clan has grown on me a lot throughout the course of KTK, and I feel like it got some very nice prowess cards in FRF, as well as the manifest spells like Soul Summons and Write into Being that let you trigger prowess while still developing your board.
Abzan, because I want to play big green creatures and have good black removal. White seems like a better fall back plan than blue. The fact that the prerelease pools will be 75% cards from Fate Reforged is super awkward. Also WB as an option is also fine since that seems to have the best removal for sealed.
I can see red being very good, particularly against opponents that don't have removal, but getting your Goblin Heelcutter dash jacked by Douse in Gloom seems back breaking.
Im honestly having a really difficult time deciding. I have no idea what to pick.
I love abzan, but getting the bolster/outlast stuff going on wont be likely with one seeded pack and 1 khans pack.
Temur seems like the weakest.
Jeskai just looks kinda busted with all the good stuff that its seeing in these colors... no lie there.
Mardu seems ridiculously over powered as well.
Sultai seems pretty strong as well.
Choices
I'm going either Jeskai or Temur. Temur has some cheap beefy dudes which is harder to deal with in limited and I want the extra chance at the Shaman of the Great Hunt and Jeskai prowess is pretty good if you get enough of it, plus extra chances at getting the Soulfire Grand Master. Either way, should be fun.
From what I've been toying around with with that Sealed Generator, the pools that look the best to me are Jeskai with a push towards Esper. It is possible that I would choose Sultai if I didn't want the extra opp at Soulfire Grand Master.
I am Jeskai through and through. I went for a Jeskai kit for KTK prerelease (2HG, second head has Temur) and had Sarkhan and two fetches in it. I liked Jeskai before it was cool
This time, I am going for both normal and 2HG prerelease. For the 2HG, I am going for Jeskai again, probably with Mardu or Abzan as second head. Whereas in KTK, Jeskai were kind of rogue choice, now they are virtually the strongest.
In the normal prerelease, I am going for Sultai, because they virtually do not have a bad promo, and if it goes well, I still can play plenty of the nice blue Jeskai cards from FRF.
It virtually does not matter what you pick - the bulk of the cards will come from the random boosters, and I like to be open for both U and B colors.

That seems annoying rather than backbreaking. You only need to attack with Heelcutter to get its trigger, so even if it gets nixed, you should still have a fair idea of what your opponent will be blocking with.
Dashing doesn't give you the trigger, attacking does. Douse in Gloom can kill it before attacks, leaving you with still no good attacks that turn and you got timewalked by removal AND they gain 2 life.
Sandblast is far less punishing, which is the situation you're describing because you do get the trigger.
All that said, I still think Goblin Heelcutter will be one of the better cards in red sealed pools just because people will typically be lacking removal and it punishes slow starts.
Mardu and abzan are ridiculous! Never faced Jeskai so I have no idea how strong that is but... yeah... My sultai was no match lol I also pulled garbage, like even in the uncommon/common department, it wasn't good, and im lucky I wont as much as I did lol
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
With proper cards, like Refocus and all the blue bounce available i managed to draw 8 cards with it allways with a bounce to keep it for me, then finally sacrifice it for the lightning bolt.

Thanks you very much DarkNightCavalier for the Sig.
Am I alone not seeing the "poll" result? I want to know the % each clan have.

I will always firmly stand by the belief that Magic is a game first and a collectable second.
2HG - Sultai!!! With Delve into play, the 2HG will be a great match up with it's removal, and the solid plays it will make.

I chose / will choose Abzan. Most familiar color combination since Journey into Nyx (when I first did Golgari / Junk Constellation).
Though if the money / value lover in me had been active, I would've picked Jeskai -- for any chances at the two white mythics.
My custom sets:
Caeia Block (Released - Beta)
Generals of Dareth (In Design)

You have only chance for the Soulfire Grand Master as the promo.
