No, but Gisa's effect does. You still DO have to sacrifice both of the 2/2s you would make (1 to the altar, one to Gisa's effect). It still procs infinite etb or ltb triggers, though, of which there are plenty in both blue and black.
Intruder Alarm's effect requires no mana, so each iteration produces net zombie. You end up with infinite 2/2s and infinite mana.
Gisa's Activation does require mana though, so it goes like this;
-Activate Gisa, make two zombies.
-Two Intruder Alarm Triggers.
-Sacrifice a zombie for
-Sacrifice the other for two zombies.
-Two Intruder Alarm triggers.
-Repeat.
So there isn't really any net gain.
Though you could replace Phyrexian Altar with a mana dork and make infinite zombies.
You still have to sacrifice one for an island and then the other to create two more tokens, then sacrifice one for an island and another for the token, infinite loop of abilities with nothing gained right?

You have two zombie tokens;
Ghoulcaller Gisa's effect requires one Swamp which you need to sacrifice a token to Phyrexian Alter to get;
You now have one token and one Swamp;
Ghoulcaller Gisa's effect requires you to sacrifice one token;

In conjunction with the above combos, you can use Gravespawn Sovereign and start taking stuff from graveyards...

Be a lemming hunter. Don't be a lemming. Really, all you had to do was explain to him the popularity metric, not give him the lemming hunter manifesto...
I know this topic may be long dead but I recently made a edh deck with her as the commander and have had a lot of success.
If you want a quick and overwhelming army of zombies I recommend simply getting her on the field with coat of arms and sacking your biggest creature,
Usually this is how it plays out, I get her out (coat in my hand) (bring her out first b/c she doesn't have haste) next turn play coat of arms, usually I have two or more zombies with her so at least 1 is 3 power, I sac it, gain 3 2/2, coat makes all zombies now 5/5, next turn sac token, +5 zom all now 8/8 and so on.
Quickly gets out of hand. Throw in Noxious Ghoul and you have the ability to clean entire battlefields at once. (But be careful when you play him as he will also kill gisa) I got lucky once and Drew endless ranks of the dead after I played him so it was constantly -15/-15, -24/-24 every time my upkeep started and caused all other players still playing to scoop
Can someone please explain to me why "necro"ing a thread is such a bad thing? Why create a new thread to discuss something that you can simply continue discussing? Why is there a time limit on threads and how many days is that time limit exactly?

Because in this case Gisa is neither a new nor a rumored card and has already been well-discussed in many contexts. In the Rumor Mill, bumping an old thread pushes currently relevant threads down the page. You can talk about Gisa until you pass out on the Commander, Casual, or, as the case may be, Vintage or Legacy forums, but she's no longer a topic here.
There should be no point in having temporary forums like "new card discussion" then. Just discuss the cards in the forum of the format of your choice.
Even if a thread is necro it isn't detrimental to anyone so who cares?
Because it still pops up among the head posts and might confuse people. This forum is specifically for cards that are about to come out or are fresh of the press, not 3-years-old cards.
