Hey, I am just looking for an online store where I can purchase booster packs for a good price and one that is NOT already opened. I grew skeptical about buying it online because many reviews from Amazon states that their packs that they have received have been mapped? or opened. Thanks
I apologize if I may have posted in the wrong place. I do not know other places that have alot of traffic so I decided to go here. I sent a message to the mtgfanatic whether their packs are sealed and never opened but it seems like their customer service is a LOOONG break
Map a box of boosters is : after opening some booster people can use programs to see what are the unopened rares ( this is due how magic is printed) and then pick those rares and sells the rest...
buying online makes it dificult for you...
If ii where to buy boosters i would buy from the big stores or walmart or any store ( if you go to a story its less likely that the box of boosters they are selling got mapped )(cause costumers are nnear and not everyone that buy boosters do it on the store)(also if people see them picking "random" boosters of the box ... soo less sales for them.)
Oh alright I understand it now. Guess I will go to the big stores. It would be cool if the cards were printed at random
but they are....
the thing is :
when they print them they make 2 times the number of rares and the number of MR and then split them in boxes 3-4 boxes ;
the thing is that the software have a method of organising the bosters in the boxes ( and the boxes have to have all the rares and MR of the set)
People that box map asks for people that opened bosters to give them the rares&MR by where they were found in the box( they ask the names) and after some amount they are able to discover the "randomness" of the machine ( also WoTC changes it during fabrication )(and other printers have diferent "randoms")...
Usualy a store can do it when before release they open bosters to make stock and ship preorders. But big stores like walmart that don't sells singles don't do that ( althought people that really want can do with enoght time) and big game stores try to never do it for the sake of their reputation.
