I like it because the top 2effects are both useful in did ways. U can ramp ridiculous or just go aggressive. Make a dude when it drops, then another next turn and smash with 8 points of trample.
I like that you can make a forest a 4/4 and give it pseudo-vigilance on your following turns all while ticking up. Among other things to like about her. Color me stoked.
now if only we get an indestructable land to stick her first ability onto.... oh look, darksteel citadel reprinted!

I actually just realized a while ago that this interaction makes UW control scoop. They literally cant do a damn thing. They cant D Sphere or Azorius Charm it because its a land. They cant Verdict because its indestructible. They cant chump with Elspeth dorks because it tramples. I suppose they can down tick the Elspeth but thats their ONLY out.
Even better. Since UW lists dont really do Charm there is NO outs. The only hope for control is to be esper and set up a devour flesh play. Good luck with that if you don't check my Nissa...
Yeah, I really like her. She might be the chase mythic of the set.

Fated Retribution solves the problem quite nicely, but that comes down turns after Nissa does. Of course there's counters to stop or delay Nissa in the first place. If you want to deal with a single activation there's Reprisal, Celestial Flare, Azorius Charm, and Supreme Verdict.
Edit: I'm dumb. You were talking about animating Darksteel Citadel. In that case it's about the same as dealing with a Fleecemane Lion, except you have a few more options since you can charm it. Celestial Flare stays good as does Charm.

The version without Detention Sphere runs 4 Azorius Charms.
I'm kinda wondering about the viability of a mono-g ramp deck post rotation, honestly. Some kinda permutation of courser, caryatid, nykthos, and dictate of karametra powering out Nissa and dropping supercharged Hydras (mistcutter,Broodmaster, and the new Genesis one).
Sure, there are ways to mark it. I was just wondering if there is an "official" way to do it. I don't imagine those at featured tables at a Grand Prix or SCG Open will go fishing for loose change.

Primarily people use dice to indicate the P/T. And most pros will have some on hand, especially at featured tables where they are provided for you.
While she may not be the best Planeswalker ever, I like her. She seems to be decently powerful and is really cool. I love manlands and mono green bash face type decks. I have never really been interested in Standard because I don't want to spend money on cards just to have them rotate out in a year because I don't have an LGS that hosts FNM's that I can get to regularly. However, I might rethink that because of her. She seems fun.
Can the lands she places out with her Ult be used for mana the same turn they're placed onto the battlefield?
Or does their summoning sickness prevent this?

In short, Mana abilities are activated abilities. If it involves tapping the creature to activate them, then they cannot be activated unless the creature with said ability has been on the battlefield since the start of the player's most recent turn. And it has to be a 'personal' tap where it requires tapping specifically the permanent with the ability in question. Activated abilities like those in Aboshan, Cephalid Emperor can be activated by tapping the permanent with the ability the turn that permanent came into play.
I'm not convinced that will be the case, however. It's a land and a creature. It's not the same as, say, Elvish Mystic, which is a creature with a tap for mana ability. They aren't identical. I'd like too see the actual ruling that specifically deals with this.

Yes. Even if Nissa dyes, they will be permanently 4/4 creatures that are still lands. They will revert if removed from the battlefield though

and actually leon, theres an answer thats in UW sb that can deal with a 4/4 indestructible artifact land creature.
revoke existence
with the exception of red really, most other color has a way of killing it to be honest:

-Black:
Gild, Silence the Believer, Devour Flesh
-Blue:
Turn to Swine
-Green:
Unravel the Aether
-White
Chain to the Rock, Revoke Existence, Banishing Priest
-Gold
Far//Way, Turn//Burn, Azorius Charm
