There's decent Synergy with Iroas, Launch, and Dictate. Mild synergy with Atheros in that if both get resolved your opponent will likely pay the 3 life to keep it in the grave yard. No real synergy with Aegis.
None of these cards really pair well with the promo. There's mild Synergy with Kuphrix to help ramp or Rush to give you another big creature, but nothing really awesome. Plus the island requirement means you have have a pretty decent commitment to to Blue for it to work well. The card can potentially win on it's own you get it down with enough islands that you essentially cyclonic rifted your opponent, but if the rest of the packs are blue light, it's a tough card to use.
We don't know what the black dictate does, but there's pretty decent synergy with Pharika. It triggers constellation if it comes out after and provides more triggers. Extinguish all Hope has some synergy. Chances are iof you get both of it and Doomwake if you have a decent staple of enchantment creatures in black or a secondary colour it's not a bad way to go. Master is an enchantment creature if it comes in after doomwake plus it's a decent clock in limited where removal is limited. Speaking of removal. Silence is pretty good removal especially given the voltron nature of a lot of the limited decks. No direct synergy but removal is always removal and this is potential 1 for 2 or more removal depending on your mana and if there's any bestow going on. Macar has no real synergy. but it is potential removal.
The best synergy would probably be Dictate or Twinflame Iroas isn't bad with it, but again Spawn is slow and requires a strong mountain presence to be useful even more than Scourge of Fleets needs islands. Depending on the decks Keranos and Eidolon might do enough damage early that Spawn can finish it, but I wouldn't count on it.
Not a lot of syngery here Dictate is useful but you better have another card besides this to take advantage of it. Hydras a second big beater. Kuphrix can help reduce the Mana cost for the pump, but nothing spectacular. Tactics can turn it into a potential any creature kill.
Just from that kind of evaluation I think White is probably the way to go followed by Black a somehwat distant second. Granted I still need two more rares from white but unless they are both horribad cards with negative synergy to Dawnbreakers you're looking at least 4 out of the 7 cards you could get in the seeded booster decently together.
Any thoughts on my evaluation?
(Of course once we get the full card list and I see what else is there I might change my mind.)
If we base things purely on the guaranteed rare and potential rares/mythics in those colors then i'd agree with you that white would be the way to go with black in 2nd place. Dawnbringer Charioteers are by far the strongest limited bomb among the guaranteed cards and the heroic strategy is well supported by the block as a whole. Athreos is also arguably the best cash/limited bomb in the format so far and white/black gets an extra shot at it.
Just looking at promos, white is clearly the best color, cheap flyer with evasion, lifelink to make it nearly unraceable, and with the potensional to get bigger. Green would be my second pick, because it basicly wins the game by itself after 2-3 turns of untapping with it. All the other promos seem oddly weak or overcosted. Honestly, I usisaly decide based on the commons (as well as the promo), and since so few have been spoiled, I cannot make a full opinion.
If we are looking at the seeded packs, each seeded has the potential to contain one god. A different thread ventured that white has a chance for Atheros, Black: Pharika, Green: Kruphix, Blue: Keranos, and Red: Iroas. If that is the distribution white is definitely the color to go with, with black being second in my opinion.

The most important part of any draft is the commons/uncommons which we haven't seen, there's no Rare/Mythic that you can get that guarantees you to be in those colors, even Seeded packs aren't a guarantee of anything.
I wouldn't call anything until we see which colors have the best C/UC.

This is the sensible route. We also have to take into account that half of our packs are coming from the previous two sets of the block. So if you don't like how a particular color looks in THE/BNG, it having good cards in JOU may not be enough to justify picking it.

Love. Forgive. Trust. Be willing to be broken that you may be remade.
If Wizards is doing the same thing for JOU prerelease that they did for BNG's prerelease, then the God distribution will be as follows:
White = Athreos
Blue = Keranos
Black = Pharika
Red = Iroas
Green = Kruphix
This is based on BNG's prerelease set up, where each God was placed in the color of seeded pack that comes first in its casting cost.
Was this really a thing at the BNG release? I'm almost upset if that's true...
Can anyone say otherwise? I'm not even sure where I'd look to prove/disprove this.
P.S. I'm on the White train as well. Followed by Red, Green, then no particular order.

I don't know if Wizards published the information or not, but I went to three prereleases, and I straight out purchased around 15 of the prerelease packs. We carefully kept track of which God was opened in which color, and the set up described above turned out to be the way things were. I went into the prerelease thinking that it was possible to get an on-color God for either of the colors s/he was in (e.g. Xenagos could be in either green or red), but my expectations didn't pan out in reality.
Doing well in pre-release is very reliant on your commons/uncommons. From drafting though I know that white/green and white/blue are two of the most reliable decks, and I suspect we'll see some good support for white/red coming out. I love Athreos, but pulling him is not a guarantee; so I do not want to base my strategy around him until I have him in hand. Green/X has also been very strong, at least where I draft. Black has not done as well overall, though with the right cards it is completely nuts. I'm inclined to go White or Green, the two also have the best promo imo.
If you want the best promo / limited combo white is for you. At the card store where I play white has won almost every week in draft/limited with BNG and Theros, and the white promo only helps. Unless the white commons and uncommons are garbage I would say white will be the strongest color.
Green and Black probably have the next best promos as playable bombs, with green having a slight edge in my opinion. Black has some pretty cool rares so far so a guaranteed on color rare in black is enticing.
I personally will probably go blue. The promo isn't great but I really like a lot of the uncommons and rares so far. Increased chance of getting kruphix is always a plus and while I love blue, I haven't had the chance to use it a whole lot in Theros/BNG even though I think it's very strong. I don't get the chance to play mtg much so I'm really just playing to have a good time

If what was being suggested about god distribution is accurate, and I can't say either way, then Blue will be getting you Keranos (who is pretty good imo) and not Kruphix (which would be in green).

A 4 of mainboard, definitely not. Really would've been nice at instant too, but sorcery, meh.
On topic, probably go with White. Really great with the ability to splash well with any color in the format.

100% Black. I love it's playstyle in Limited (so grindy) and Doomwake Giant is easily my favorite of the prelease rares. I might even try to build a Constructed deck with it at some point.
White looks like the way to go. Most white rares this time around are at least decent. If the previous posts about God distribution are true then possibly getting Athreos makes choosing white even better.
White is gaining so many fun looking cards in this set that I will probably go white. The promo is awesome and the support for white over the block has been strong, at least for limited.
