Hey look, your top 10 list contains all 10 cards that were spoiled!
Yup, 10 out of 33 is about 33% of all cards spoiled so far. Kinda why I mentioned that it is fine to change the list as time goes by... Why not start the lists?
Well, there used to be a rule that said you can't start them until after the full set is spoiled. I wish it still existed. These threads are worthless until then.
Wizards print good rares, players complain about cash grab. They print underwhelming rares, players complain that the cards suck. They spoil the best cards first, players complain about the insane prices of preorders. They spoil the meh cards first, players complain that this is the worst set ever.
So. I think I understand now.
As far as these forums are concerned, WotC can never do anything good because:
Card that is new and probably good = "pushed"
Card that is new and probably bad = "EDH/casual fodder"
Card that is a reprint = "lazy"
Card that is a better version of an older card = "power creep"
Card that is a weaker version of an older card = "worthless"
1. UNSPOILED CARD #54
2. UNSPOILED CARD #87
3. Dakra Mystic
4. UNSPOILED CARD #41
5. Dictate of Kruphix
6. UNSPOILED GOD
7. Keranos, God of Storms
8. UNSPOILED CARD #66
9. UNSPOILED CARD #97
10. UNSPOILED CARD #48
I dunno, Unspoiled card #126 is probably going to be awesome.
And yes, why start this thread now? You might as well just start a thread that says: "Let's talk about what random 33% of the set we like so far." That's moronic.

It's moronic, you say? And this isn't insulting? Way to go, MTGS community, we managed to get more posts about why this thread is "stupid" than posts relevant to the topic. "This is dumb" never ever deserves a post, as the mods will lock a thread if it's useless. Now in a week when we know half the thread there will be a whole bunch of complaints to start this off, rather than top 10's. It's ironic that everyone's complaining about how this thread is useless by making useless comments. Don't like it: ignore it.
Could the mods please delete the complaints so we can clear this thread for on-topic posts, please?

This is nothing at all like those who inevitably will post 'worst set ever' because no one in this thread is not trying to make claims about the set as a whole. It's just a few people getting excited about a set as it's beginning to get spoiled and that want to talk about it. Is that really such a bad thing? Creating positive buzz about the new set is exactly why WOTC reveals it the way that they do so I don't understand why people are annoyed about this type of discussion.
1. Dakra Mystic
2. Kruphix, God Of Horizons
3. Eidolon of Blossoms
4. Kruphix's Insight
5. Eidilon of Great Revel
6. Sigiled Starfish

8. Dictate of the Twin Gods

10. Iroas, God of Victory
Time to bring the thread back because all the cards have been released!
Here's my Top 10 choices for Modern:
Eidolon of Rhetoric: That's the sound of Pod ditching Ethersworn Canonist for a guy who doesn't die to UR Storm's sideboard red removal.
Eidolon of the Great Revel: Red, non-white aggro gets its anti-Storm hate bear! Perhaps there are even enough midrange, control, and combo decks to maindeck it...
Dakra Mystic: I'm still testing it in UW Hatebears, but this guy has been winning games for me in Merfolk as both a lord-friendly 1-drop and a card quality-generating stall-breaker. Sometimes, it will give you the card you need to win and deny your opponent the card s/he needed to stabilize, but sometimes, you just might keep indirectly feeding them gas...
Triton Shorestalker: It's a 1-drop unblockable Merfolk! Who needs Spreading Seas + Islandwalk lord?
Launch the Fleet: Some BW Tokens players will likely be trying the card, no matter how win-more it looks. ...Probably the ones who are trying the deck against combo decks.
Dictate of Kruphix: ...At least Owling Mine and Turbo Time Warp decks will be happy.
Kruphix's Insight: Maybe those fledgling White Enchantment Control decks will splash green for this?
Ajani, Mentor of Heroes: If Chandra, Pyromaster sees play, maybe another walker whose only job is to generate CA isn't that bad.
Keranos, God of Storms: For all those remaining Assemble the Legion fans out there who tried to fit it in UWR Control.
Brain Maggot (for Zur decks), Bassara Tower Archer, Athreos, Pharika, Disciple of Deceit, and Tethmos High Priest nearly made it.
1. Dictate of Karametra-Combo can exist in Standard now!
2. Eidolon of the Great Revel-Great burn support and anti-storm hate.
3. Battlefield Thaumaturge-Someone is hopefully going to be able to break this.
4. Master of the Feast- Monoblack Aggro will love this.
5. Eidolon of Retoric-Poddable storm hate is good.
6. Dictate of Kruphix-Owling Mine and Time Warp want this in Modern.
7. Gnarled Scarhide-I hope that minotaur tribal becomes Standard playable. Also Monoblack aggro.
8. Prophetic Flamespeaker-I hope that this become splyable in something as I just like the effect.
9. Twinflame-Combos with Biovisonary and is just a cool card in general.
10. Kruphix's Insight-It helps Dredge post-Rotation.
Honorable mentions: Reprisal, Polymorphous Rush, Silence the Belivers, Thethmos High Priest,Disciple of Deceit
1. Mana Confluence. Tri-color aggro is back, and no doubt it'll be handy for slow decks that have big life-gain swings ( MBD and Control ). The only thing that annoys me is that it's next season's Mutavault ( the overpriced, every-deck card ).
2. Launch The Fleet. While somewhat frail, I can see this getting use in a variety of decks ( Weenie Aggro strategies, but also Control decks using Elspeth and Assemble the Legion ).
3. Magma Spray. Most of the time, a better Pillar of Flame ( I don't know about you, but when that was in Standard, 99% of the time I was targeting creatures I didn't like rather than using it as part of a burn strategy. )
4. Battlefield Thaumaturge. I love this is in so many ways, the Johnny in me is already trying some Janky Izzet burn/Strive deck in my head. I don't know if it'll be a great card, but it's certainly a fun one!
5. Twin Flame. Woo, multi-Fanatic of Mogis, double Gray Merchants, emergency spare Pack Rats, and hasty copies of fatties everywhere. This is the only time I'm sad Master of Waves is pro-Red.
6. Triton Shorestalker. I missed having unblockable guys around, and the price is right. Plus - Merfolk!
7. Dictate of the Twin Gods. Red will have fun with this, and any red deck with five lands open during attack will be signalling to you what's in their hand.
8. Iroas, God of Victory. Boros just got serious again.
9. Brain Maggot. Because messing with your opponent's hand is Funkadelic. Can you get to that?
10. Various other Strive cards. I like the mechanic, especially in blue where it can combo with Battlefield Thaumaturge. It's not broken, but most of it isn't tragically overcosted.
Honorable mentions: Oppressive Rays( Most of the time this will be a cheaper Pacifism, but I'm happy to see mana-tax cards return ); Renowned Weaver ( I can't help but feel there's a Junk Humans shell with Athreos and Xathrid Necromancer here, at least in potentia ); Athreos ( I can't help but feel a little down considering how much I love B/W, but he's decent in Weenie decks ).
Dishonerable mentions: the general "safe" feeling ( there's nothing I look at and go "Whoa, that's broken" - and I want that kind of hype at least some of time; it doesn't have to be in an Ancestral Recall kind of way ); Skybind ( a really bad flicker at rare? ).
Very vanilla set. I'm neither unhappy nor happy with it.
There are some cards I like for similar reasons, so I've grouped them together.
Skybind - Ever since Séance, I had a thing for crappy build-around white enchantments. I also always wanted to play an Astral Slide deck (despite playing during Onslaught, I was too young to recognize the awesomeness of that card.) I'm definitely making a Standard deck around this!
Eidolon of Blossoms - I always wanted a new enchantress since the day Theros was announced to be an enchantment block, and we finally got it! It is a very cool one too, counting as an enchantment itself.
Banishing Light/Reprisal - I absolutely hated the state of white removal in RTR/THS Standard. You had to play blue for Oblivion Ring and Day of Judgment, you had to play green for Reprisal, and you had to play mountains for Journey to Nowhere. And then, suddenly... Bam! TWO good pieces of monowhite removal in a single set! I love it!
Nyx-Fleece Ram - I love a solid defensive creature, I love enchantments, and I love some lifegain on the side!
Tethmos High Priest/Battlefield Thaumaturge - It may have taken a whole three sets, but we finally got interesting heroic cards! Those have some very interesting effects that encourage a more strategic deck building and playstyle.
Athreos, God of Passage - Favourite god in the set. Only 3 mana, with a very cool W/B effect. I was looking for a reason to play W/B, and I found it!
Deicide/Godsend - Mostly for flavour reasons. I just love seeing Elspeth being all badass. These are the sorts of flavourful cards I like, those that tell a story, not the silly "Greek myths à la Magic."
Solidarity of Heroes - For similar reasons as the previous ones. Though, mostly for the art. It's heartwarming.
Dictate of Karametra - While I didn't look too deep into that card, I know it can enable crazy stuff. It's also the most elegant card in the cycle.
Extinguish All Hope - A nice board wipe that encourages enchantments, two things I like!
Here's mine (in no particular order - near the end, I'll make an official order):
1) Pheres-Band Warchief
2) Sage of Hours
3) Extinguish All Hope
4) Prophetic Flamespeaker
5) Eidolon of Blossoms
6) Underworld Coinsmith
7) Ajani, Mentor of Heros
8) Iroas, God of Victory
9) Tethmos High Priest
10) Deicide
So I changed out the cards that I thought were less impressive/fun/usuable by me. I can't think of an order, so I like them all equally.
Yup, 10 out of 33 is about 33% of all cards spoiled so far. Kinda why I mentioned that it is fine to change the list as time goes by... Why not start the lists?

Because it doesn't make any sense when only 20% of the cards are spoiled.

Eidolon of Blossoms
Eidolon of RR
phones acting up. Will finish later.
What's wrong w/ a work in progress?
the revised version! in no particular order
Dakra Mystic, Dictate of Kruphix, Strength from the Fallen, Eidolon of Blossoms, Dictate of Erebos, Brain Maggot, King Macar, the Gold-Cursed, Disciple of Deceit, Tormented Thoughts and Nyx Weaver. Some I like for their design (like Macar) and others because of their gameplay possibilities. And you can tell I prefer the Grixis colors, although red and blue didn't get that many things I'm super excited about.

the card of the set
Eidolon of the Great Revel

potentially great in eternal formats
Ritual of the Returned
one-off big creature in junk reanimator
Iroas
great card, needs a good Boros aggro deck
Bassara Tower Archer
o great hexproof bear
Gnarled Scarhide
versatile
Dakra Mystic
lightning rod for removal
so the best two cards of the set are borderline functional reprints. sigh.
1. Mana Confluence. Tri-color aggro is back, and no doubt it'll be handy for slow decks that have big life-gain swings ( MBD and Control ). The only thing that annoys me is that it's next season's Mutavault ( the overpriced, every-deck card ).

UTeferi, Temporal ArchmageU's prison: blue is the new orange is the new black.
Mizzix Of The Izmagnus : wheels on fire... rolling down the road...
BSidisi, Undead VizierB: Bis zum Erbrechen
GTitiania, Protector Of ArgothG: Protecting Argoth, by blowing it up!
GYisan, The Wanderer BardG: Gradus Ad Elfball.
Duel EDH: Yisan & Titania.
In Progress: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV duel; Grenzo, Dungeon Warden Doomsday.
Dictate of Erebos Flashable Grave Pact that is easier to play and doesn't hurt your teammates is a win for me
Athreos, God of Passage I like that he is cheap to play and brings to the table a very B/W ability
Ajani, Mentor of Heroes He just looks like a fun card to do things with
Dawnbringer Charioteers Solid white heroic card with evasion and lifelink
Sigiled Starfish Because repeatable scry is fun
King Macar, the Gold-Cursed First for the King Midas reference and Second for the combat shenanigans between this and Triton Tactics
Pharika's Chosen Because a 1/1 with deathtouch is annoying to work around in limited
Bearer of the Heavens Mainly for the Atlas reference and the total board wipe
Market Festival Because of it lets you tap a land for up to 3 different colors of mana
Mana Confluence Because of the mana fixing it allows
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
