Actually, you know, I think Slivers might be good this time around. Naya Agro Slivers, anyway. Thanks to Hellrider Sliver, which can actually point the damage at potential blockers, the deck should be pretty explosive.

Manaweft Sliver is going to see 4x in any deck running green that wants even a little bit of ramp.
When you ignore the tribal aspect, you have a card that is up there with Birds of Paradise and Utopia Tree in terms of utility. When you include the tribal part, you end up with what is possibly one of the most efficient mana-dorks ever printed.
I disagree. At 2 mana, it's too much of an investment for a mana dork.

I doubt it. I haven't played against a constructed sliver deck yet, but everyone and their mother was pushing Slivers at the pre-release, and they just weren't that good. Without Predatory slivers you have a bunch of easily dealt with 1/1's, and the nature of Slivers practically forces you to overextend, and one sweeper and it's over for the sliver player.
They can nut hand T4 win like any other aggro deck, but that's not anything to write home about, nut hand T4 aggro decks have been around since the beginning of MTG and don't warp meta's
lol, and then you'd lose the game if you'd got duress-ed.

MTG lore is already filled with humanoid creatures. Now there's one more.

Do you think the Predators have potential though?
yeah they're called gorgons in mtg multiverse
........................
gorgons and predators have not much in common to be honest..
slivers and predator have nothing in common, yet here we are.
to be honest, gorgon looks more inspiring than these wannabe slivers.
