We're facing the next card to receive a ton of clarifications in the oracle until geting the axe in an undetermined amount of constructed formats. Actually, I went to check presales and found this card's initial prize is pretty high for how "bad" it's supposed to be regarding many comments here...
@R&D: Why? I know why: You just couldn't contain yourself of throwing this up to us and see what happens. You know what? You'll end saying "We knew it."
It's when the ability is on the stack, so after it triggers, but before it resolves.
You play your Oblivion Ring, it comes into play, it's ability goes on the stack, you activate the Strionic Resonator, you exile a creature thanks to the resonator, then exile one with the original Oblivion Ring activation.
I went through the RTR to M14 cards, seeing what works well with the resonator, and here's what I came up with.
White:
Angelic Accord
Archangel of Thune
Banisher Priest
Bant colours have a strong offering of triggered effects. Though a Junk Dreadbridge Chant deck running the resonator seems very sweet. And there's also a cute GW lifegain/Archangel of Thune/Angelic Accord deck to make out there.
Why no Angel of Serenity? Exiling 6 cards, yes please.
What a cute little thing!
I'm so impressed by number of applications I would find for it.
I'm so horrified by number of judge calls and game play errors I would have to solve because of it.
And can anyone tell me about the treacherous pit-dweller interaction? Do I end up with control if I copy his ETB ability?
Pretty sure it doesn't work since only one part of the trigger happens once so when the second trigger tries to resolve the first condition hasn't been met.

And can anyone tell me about the treacherous pit-dweller interaction? Do I end up with control if I copy his ETB ability?
No, you don't. This ability doesn't switch control of demon between you and an opponent, but just gives it indefinitely to target opponent. You will control copy of ability as well and you aren't your own opponent, therefore you won't be able to target yourself.
Havoc Festival + Strionic Resonator = opponent loses 3/4 of life?
Also would 6 mana and aRings of Brighthearth net you 4 activated abilities? 2 Mana for the Rings to copy the ability, 2 to for the Resonator on the Rings, 2 to Rings the Resonator... so the original ability + 3 copies?
This card really isn't getting the attention it deserves.
No matter, it just means it'll be cheaper for me to get.
People are starting to pay attention. It's sold out at $2.49 and was $1.49 when it was spoiled. I can't see it being worth too much down the line, but it will be worth more than current asking value.
I see this card fitting in an old-timey legacy Stax. Just think of the interaction with Smokestack (of course read the updated rule text), tangle wire, etc.
I particularly love the interaction with Smokestack, really. You can resonate to increase the number of counters in your first upkeep. Then (and especially if you have Voltaic Keys), resonate again in your opponent's upkeep to make them sac twice.
With a couple voltaic keys and one of these you can turn Smokestacks in weapons of mass destruction.
And when you sacrifice Flagstones of Trokair to it, you can get two Plains instead of one with the Resonator!
Now, what will a Resonated Oblivion Ring do when it leaves the battlefield...
Oblivion Ring will need a errata , but probablly will do:
1: return both permanents
2: return the original permanent (last triggered ability ' target)( or even copied ability)
Oblivion Ring will need a errata , but probablly will do:

Pretty sure the copied trigger exiles the target forever. O-ring has two triggers, Enters the Battlefield and Leaves the Battlefield as two separate Triggers so you get Death & Taxes for the Second target of the ETB trigger.
Detention Sphere will do the same thing.

Fairly certain that unless you are planning on increasing the upkeep cost on one of your own creatures, you can't use strionic resonator with tabernacle. Tabernacle grants all creatures a triggered ability as a static effect, so the trigger isn't under your control for creatures you don't control, meaning you can't target them with resonator (not to mention, even if you could, you'd be paying 2 only to make them pay an extra 1 for a single creature)
So I've been thinking about how to break this. We've got Storm, but Stoneforge Mystic and specifically Sword of Feast and Famine seem to have a strong interaction with the card. Getting to fetch multiple equipments, and untap all lands multiple times, and make the opponent discard multiple cards seems very very strong. If only there was an efficient way to use all of that mana to continuously untap an artifact in order to create an infinite loop...hmmm. Anyone have any ideas that aren't overly complicated?
why do you think you can resonate The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale? It doesn't have a triggered ability, it gives all creatures a static ability that says "At the beginning of your upkeep, destroy this creature unless you pay {1}." But since that ability is on the creatures, you dont control it, and cannot resonate it. And even if you could, it would only affect a single creature, not the opponents entire board.

Tackman, Soul Ransom, Cryptborn Horror and Master Biomancer have no triggered abilities.
None of those cards have triggered abilities. Please, go back and read the reminder text on the Resonator.

No, evolve ability doesn't have word "target" in its text, so you won't be able to "choose new targets" for its copy.

...And did Elves stick Gaea's Cradle again? Resonate The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale! (You'll finally hit one creature, at least...)
for The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale you will be able to make cost {2} at upkeep

I have the Resonator on the field, my opponent as two non token creatures.
I got 5 mana open, play Fiend Hunter, activate Resonator ability
Two non token creatures exiled.
Next turn my opponent kill the Fiend Hunter.
1. the two non token creatures come back
2.only one comes back
thx
