Myr Retriever keeps your colors open and synergizes well if you can pick up some more good artifacts. God forbid you manage to get another 1 or 2 of these...

Kodama's reach gives you the most versatility while being a solid card in it's own right.
If you want to try and force an archetype, I'd take an artifact and try to force affinity since at the least, you can reasonably expect one of the 3 artifacts to wheel.
Pestermite is actually a very solid card on it's own. Aggressive, pseudo combat trick, very good with all the faeries stuff. I pick pestermite.
Plumeveil's fine, though too defensive for my tastes, grinning ingus wheels if your looking to draft a storm deck.
LP, I'm checking your article out as well. Behind all of your swag is the brain of one of the most intelligent Magic players I've ever known. I guess that's one more thing for you to add to the wall of ego that is your Sally sig.
I can go with that. LK, you are the Mace Windu of red mages...cool, tempered logic in deliberation, but capable of just flat kicking tail when the situation warrants it.
Myr Retriever is good if you get a bunch of playable artifacts,
but I'll stick with Plumeveil- it can kill most of this set's biggest threats,
and is flexible, mana-wise.

I like Pestermite here. It's pretty much the most versatile 3 drop flier ever. It can set up an ambush or just tap a guy, making it incredible for the usual race of limited. With three other good blue cards in the pack we can reasonably hope to table one of them.
Having been on a break during most of the early modern sets, this was my initial impression of this pack. Plumeveil seems like it will be removal most of the time + a really good blocker.
I'll go Pestermite; Niblis of the Mist was always a respectable card in Dark Ascension draft, and this one has both tribal synergy and combat trick/accelerant potential.
I don't know about Reach. It seems suspect to be picking it so highly when Ranger's Path wasn't great in M13, even in a slower format. I realize this comes down a turn earlier and doesn't need Forests, but it still seems like there have to be better options.
Kodama's Reach. Awsome acell/fixing card and Green is insane in this set. Cheap fatties and little to no removal to deal with them.
Why didn't you post this in Limited? Or at least direct people to our neck of the woods in the OP? In all of these threads? Or tell the Limited crowd your doing it. Shameful!
I'd choose between Plumeveil and Reach, with Reach probably winning. (Plumeveil is a LOT better than it looks if you have never had it in Limited before. Flash is devastating on it, it kills an attacker and then sits there being really disruptive; but unlike SSS or SSE draft, you aren't going to be mono blue or mono white and the main WU strategy in this set is more aggressive than Plumeveil is).
Fond memories of a good portion of these cards, but Kodama's Reach does a good job of setting one up for 3+ colours very nicely . . . and with the arcane-splice thing going on in red-blue, it also sets up what could be a pretty strong start to a RUG deck as well.
So many good cards. Wow. I think I take reach here though, as others have mentioned it opens up arcane, but more importantly it's ramp and uber fixing. It leaves open every other color so you're better judge how the table is picking as you go on. Flexibility is key assuming this is pack 1 pick 1.
Along that vein - Plumeveil is a terrible pick unless you absolutely know you're going U/W, as casting it won't be an easy task otherwise. I'm terrible at limited though, so take that with a grain of salt :P.

Winner of the MTGSalvation Standard Championships III & IV.
Kodama's Reach because you are playing Multiple Copies Cube. Test of Faith is second, followed possibly by Summoner's Pact, but I don't trust Summoner's Pact in the format.

I'd be interested in Drag Down, too, but I'd hope it to turn up again in pack 2 or 3.

Also there's big dumb dragons in this set, and Reach lets you drop them sooner. Limited is often about getting to your bomb the fastest.
