Oh my gosh! I almost forgot my other card that won me several games.... Dynacharge! That overload is ridiculous when it just looks like your alpha striking because you're going to lose anyway. "I swing my 4 1/1s" "Hmmm I'm at 12... I'll just take it." "I win!"
Cyclonic Rift was awesome for me. Using it to blow away a jam-packed Selesnya board allowed me to win a race that I was assuredly going to lose in another couple turns. Even as a simple Unsummon it did work, bouncing an Archon of the Triumvirate which I Canceled on second casting, then followed up with an Archon of my own to seal the deal.
Stab wound was just absurd in most of the games I played, both playing it myself and playing against it. I ran sundering growth, golgari charm and abrupt decay, so I could fight it off, but man is it a powerhouse.
Well, the Pre was a great experience. I went 3-1-1 with my selesnya WGu, full of tokens and populate. Ended 10th of 54 (not bad.) My only complaint is that, outside the top8, frmo 9th to 26th, we've got a single booster pack, no draws (not even FNM promos.)
There were many Rakdos at the top 8, actually there were 3 rakdos and an azorius at the top4, where the two finalist rakdoes weren't splashed at all. I've defeated an Azorius in the first match, a Rakdos at the second, have drawn with another Selesnya at the third, lost to a Rakdos at the 4th and won against mirror match (but splayed with golgari) at the 5th round.
Didn't oppened any money card, while my teammate oppened just a Supreme Verdict and a Dreadbore.
Martial Law and the sorcery for 6 that puts a centaur and populates, and the Guardian's Grove were the stars in my deck. Also the Selesnya Guildmage was sick when it had the chance to start doing what she does. The Collective Blessing sitted at my hand a couple of times (It isn't a good move in many situations in where you aren't offensive enough and need to keep dropping threats to the table.) It also gets destroyed almost every time you cast it against mirror or Azorius. Rakdos tended to be fast enough to also deny you the chance to make your enchantment shine (anyway, it is a card you must run if you open it.)
For the record, haven't faced Stab Wound even once, so haven't experienced how good it is as almost ppl says here.
But, overall aside from my bombs, my MVP was probably Inaction Injunction; this card is absolutely sick for a common. It bought me enough time to start dropping backbreaking 6 drops (Triumvirate, Skywatch, Chemister) it also allowed me to be able to use my 3-4 turn clock to great effect; (Faerie Imposter + Lyev Skyknight + other flyers.)
@Stab Wound; I watched a game that went to time where dude had 2 stab wounds out that over the course of the whole game did 18 damage getting him the win during turns.
The card is insane in Limited.
I was one of those who wasn't able to open a bomb in Izzet (or in anything for that matter).
Mercurial Chemister was the most noteworthy thing I packed and was amazing when he was able to stay on the board (I had one person bounce him like 5 turns in a row) but Frostburn Weird easily did most of the work in all of my games. Such a simple but efficient design.
I'd send it in uncontested a couple times and pump it up to do 4 damage, then just randomly stopped paying mana into it. My opponent thought I was sitting on counter spells at that point (I wasn't ) and didn't want to lose his bombs to a counterspell
Vraska was phenomenal. People were too afraid to attack her, especially since I usually had enough defense that they'd have to alpha strike her to get though and then lose their whole board. Repeatable Vindicate is amazing.
A less obvious choice, but I think the 3/4 Hexproof for 5 is amazing in this format. He stops Rakdos decks in their tracks. Scavenge some counters on him and nothing will touch you.
Yep, Deathrite Shaman and Stab Wound for me. In game 3 of the final round, they combined for all 20 of my opponent's life. I won without doing any damage and was facing down Armada Wurm + two copies for four turns (I had some other help from Rootbound Defenses, Palisade Giant and Druid's Deliverance). I think the Shaman will find a constructed home somewhere. It just does so much.
Dethrite shaman was a beast. Every time he came down he would gain at least 5-10 life and deal 6 or more damage. Plus he can work as fixing/ramp if you have a grisly salvage or 2.
runners up are Jarad's orders (grabbing corpsejack menace and some big scavenge guy), and grisly salvage.

My Grixis deck definitely had trouble with the Rhino. None of my removal could touch it (except a Slum Reaper against an otherwise empty board), and it outclassed the vast majority of my ground creatures. Thankfully I had some strong fliers at the top end, but it was a pain nonetheless.
My mvp was the new Azorius guildmage. Being able to fly or detain was awesome. Against G/W, i made my guys into flyers and chumped the birds whenever. Against rakdos i raced them when they stop unleashing creatures and i flew my guys over them. Against anyone with big dudes i just detained them. And walked my army past them.
Rootborn Defenses. Not close. That card is downright unbeatable and is even good when you don't have a dude to Populate. When you do you can regularly trade up to four cards for that one spell and have an even more domineering board presence afterwards.

Mercurial Chemister, pretty sure you can't lose with this guy.
This - resolving my chemister killed anything they played and drew me so very many cards. The only game I lost w/ chemister was when my opponent had a Palisade Giant and I had no 7 CMC cards to kill any of his stuff.
My wife played Golgari splash Red and went 4-0-1 with Stab Wound as an all-star.
I won numerous games with a stalled board and Stab Wound.
Ditto on this. There's nothing quite as sweet as playing Stab Wound on an unleashed Thrill-Kill Assassin, leaving your opponent with a 0/1 that can't block and pings them for two on each of their turns. I ended up with 3 of them in my Golgari box, and I won several games off the back of it.
I pulled one at both prereleases I attended (4-2 running Azorius/WUR and 6-0 running Rakdos). While each respective deck had their fair share of all-stars, an overloaded Mizzium Mortars was usually the centerpiece of my wins. For me, it just fit the niche of a sweeper among spot removal. That it can be cast as spot removal is just icing on the cake.

I'd have gone 4-0 the first night if it wasn't for my opponent having this, 2 hypersonics, Niv-Mizzet, 3 annihilating fire, and a traitorous instinct. He managed to pop this the turn before I could swing for the win. (His deck felt like he was cheating but I guess it's totally possible he pulled 3 or 4 rares/mythic in Izzet colors...)
Yeah it's definitely gotta be Pack Rat. He makes limited absolutely bonkers in that, you can't really use removal to beat it. You need a sweeper. I played mine turn 2, then proceeded to discard all of my actual spells to keep lands so I could get to six mana. But the game had already been decided by then.

my friend had one of these. If you get to untap with one you just win. There's only 3 cards in the format that can deal with it and they're all rare (New DoJ, Mortars, and Detention Sphere)

Untapping with Mercurial Chemister was GG
Faerie Imposter + any EtB Detain was amazing
and the bounce was Azorius Charm and Dramatic Rescue
