I'm surprised people are picking Keening Apparition. As far as two drops go, Frostburn Weird strikes me as at least as appealing. I guess the former sends a clearer signal, though, as it's the only mono-white card in the pack. Speaking of white, the 8/8 is tempting.
When in doubt, I usually go with the fatty, but Blustersquall is really good. Cast it overloaded on an opponent's turn then alpha strike? Sounds good to me. This set's Sleep. (Not as powerful, but easily splashed and versatile as heck.)
This pack is weak. The 8/8, Goblin Rally, and Blustersquall are contenders, but I picked the 2/1 Swampwalk. Black is strong in this set and Scavenge is a good ability. A disappointing first pick, but a good card.

Karma doesn't exist. You can't depend on it. If you count on it for justice or catharsis, you will find that you have placed your emotions on very unstable ground; and you will either repeat your disappointment in society over and over, or you will engage in a persistent delusion to protect yourself from that feeling.
Frostburn Weird. Out of this pack it's the strongest pick, yes it kinda shoehorns you into Izzet with the first pick, but it's the best in the pack. 1/4 for 2 that not only is a decent wall, but suddenly if left unblocked (and with an excess of mana) you have a 4/1 beater. Yes please.

I was thinking about Goblin Rally, but four 1/1s seem a lot worse than a 4/4 for this set. I guess there are a few pump cards, but much of the time you're just going to be chumping with them. That's okay but not exciting.
frostburn weird is the easy pick. pretty weak pack. the weird provides a good early blocker which turns into a good beater later. even if you go just red or blue it's still playable, just a bit worse is all.
Meh, blustersquall looks like a bad sleep (not that that alone is much condemnation) but it let's you get through only once, not twice.
I went with the bloom because it's a gold set and I never feel in draft I have too much ramp or fixing.
Honestly chorus of might seems strong; in selesnia it's obviouvs, but for golgari it will be possible to scavenge for 4-5 counters onto a creature and swing in for lethal. I can see WGB being a powerful combo and this is similar to over run.
I voted for the Risen Sanctuary, but I forgot that Mana Bloom fixes as well. That's probably really important in a set like this. I could also absolutely see an argument for the Weird.
Weird in here is the strongest pick, all im saying to those people picking Risen Sanctuary remember this, its your first pick. Meaning either you are hoping white and green stay active, or you're drying up. The Weird actually allows you to play 3 different guilds if necessary, depending on the next picks. (albeit, UU or RR arent as appealing, but still quite doable.) The fatty would get one of the last picks from me, even though draft/sealed is slower format, 7 mana is still alot, and with no trample, good luck getting through on the first couple of turns.

Pretty tricky, this one. The fatty is cost-efficient, Weird is reliable, and Mana Bloom helps with color fixing, but I went for Blustersquall. Sleep is usually always playable in limited, and instant speed, better splashability, and the ability to just use it as a Dispatch is effective.
