The only way to get his ability out is with Relentless Rats. If you are on luck- mode maybe with Squadron Hawk. But I bet he will not see a lot of play...
This is not the "only" way, just the most obvious. There are other ways to use this ability. Imagine later in the game, after casting the Sphinx, when you have a creature on the field that's become useless or is just dead weight and you happen to draw the same creature. If you have an Unsummon or Saving Grasp you can just bounce it back to draw yourself 4 cards. It's not an instant draw 4 in most cases, but it gives you options throughout the game. Same games it'll pay off and some games you'll just have an evasive fatty! Either way, it works for me!
@oskaretc. I mentioned before that this guy would fit best in a ramp deck so you can drop him early, say turn 4, then you should still have somewhat of a hand. Realistically, most of the time he's coming down turn 5 though.
I agree with you on your assertion that he needs to have an engine to help get the two cards to discard but I don't think that mitigates his inclusion.
im planing on making a deck around Hedron Alignment and i think it will go fine with it. its going to be a black/blue with death touch. also going to have 4 Gone Missings in my deck (with other draw cards cards)
Please don't necro threads, it's better to make entirely new threads.
