The problem with mono green though is that, in general, it lacks interaction. This tends to leave it vulnerable. That said, Green did get some nice goodies and I wouldn't be surprised to see a competitive list that is predominately green. I think it still ends up having to splash a second color, but you pretty much always need at least a splash (no matter what color you're talking about), and I think green is probably strong enough at this point to get by with just a splash and not much more than that.

I don't think a solely mono-green aggro deck would come close to wolf run. Dungrove is still the best 3cc card and you'll always want mana-accelerant turn one. That leaves vorapede which I think may actually find its way into wolf run green (in place of garruk which is too slow in this meta but we'll see)...
Look, Birds first turn , second turn Ooze or Drove, 3rd turn Thrun, mono green seems great but add the splash of 2 mountines, and 2 wolf runs = fun/// don't forget got the slimes and titans and garruk(both) only one guy can kill the deck in Crusader since you got Beast Within, means you use a side that counters him / this is one of the decks i will be playing , others than mono black control
I've been loving mono green ever since I saw Dungrove elder on the M12 Spoiler list. I personally think it's a great and solid aggro deck. You have removal in Dismember and Prey Upon. And you have some of the coolest creatures in:
It's got mana accel in Elves and stuff, it's got card draw in Hunter's Insight (which I still think is really underrated, this card is nuts with Thrun and Dungrove) and Garruk, Primal hunter who can draw you a whole new hand with Dungrove Elder. And you got Green Suns to fetch it all.
I personally think mono green has been cool for a year already. Sure control sucks, but hell you guys seem to think that Thrun is enough to answer the cancer on MTG that is blue. So you might even think it handles control (It doesn't....nothing does).
It's them Dungroves, Thruns and Green Suns that really make it for me. Having like potentially 10 or more huge hexproof guys is pretty cool.
W may only be paid with white mana. U may only be paid with blue mana. B may only be paid with black mana. R may only be paid with red mana. G may only be paid with green mana. C may only be paid with colorless mana. 1 may be paid with white, blue, black, red, green, or clolorless mana.
I'm currently running this
2 Garruk primal hunter
2 acidic slime
4 GSZ
3 young wolf
4 Birds
3 Vorapede
4 elders
2 dawntreader elk
3 hunters insight
4 strangle root Geist

i tested jace tonight and its one of the worst planeswalkers. it never really does anything except make u lose. i suggest u sell yours for 17 each like i did.
then again on valakut
ROFL what? Valakut? The best card in standard is Jace the mind Sculptor
hm.... interesting.
Haters gonna hate on my jank decks.
I hate Predator Ooze in standard right now. People will be running Tragic Slip and Dismember. Not a big fan of Young Wolf either, but eh..I think Sword of War and Peace fits nicely right now, slap it on a Thrun or Dungrove and get by all those pesky humans and spirit tokens.
I myself will be playing mono-green, and green-black with the new set~ Mono-green is less weak than people think it is, they just don't give it a chance >3

Currently Getting Back into the swing of MTGS. Bear with me folks~
^Judging by your sig and most of the cards you talk about, I'm assuming you're primarily a green mage.
I don't play Standard, but there does seem to be a lot of cards that are good for mono-green. Maybe I won't build a standard deck, but Strangleroot Geist will go nicely into a 10-land stompy build. In Standard, Wolf Run seems to be doing quite well and Prime Time is the most expensive of the Titans, so I'm guessing it's in a decent place right now. The only mono colors I usually ever see are Red and Black.

not many people run dismember, and tragic slip must be applied the turn he comes down or before he attacks otherwise it isn't doing much outside of morbid. nonetheless he is very good vs green, white and red decks. As a compliment to the dungroves he is good, i have tried a 4/2 split between dungroves and oozes and it has been very impressive. Increasing savagery in monogreen is beautiful in all kinds of ways. turn 3 dungrove turn 4 savage. Or play titan next turn flashback savagery. Dungrove ooze and especially thrun are great targets
I have a mono green beat down on modo and without DKA, it doesn't do all that bad. It actually ticks a lot of people off. But if it gets a slow start or if someone kills your ramp, it can just fissile out.
Yeah, a lucky one, because all the skill in the world isn't going to let a deck overloaded with creatures win with a decent draw from the opponent.
Garruk relentless, beast within, swords, dismember, garruk primal hunter, bramblecrush, green sun zenith, and rampant growth sure don't seem like creatures to me. Especially considering wolf run ramp was a thing not more than a month ago. And I guess birthing pod never won anything before considering the only noncreatures in the deck were birthing pod and a venser or two. Outside of dungrove and predator ooze there is no reason to go monogreen in the first place, and even then dungrove wasn't run in a completely 25 forest shell was it? And I guess before that eldrazi green wasn't a thing either -_-. I mean your generalization doesn't even have a counterargument, it's just downplaying a deck where no basis is given.
Green got alot of upgrades. Can mono green be played? You tell me.
art by sig.rizlawerks.
The deck is narrow and easily crushed.

the last one change to titian and search for a mountain & wolf run land

Dungrove Elders are just that cool.
Here's what I've been running for awhile now.

3 Birds Of Paradise

1 Bellowing Tanglewurm
4 Prey Upon
4 Dismember
3 Garruk, Primal Hunter
3 Green Sun's Zenith
2 Hunter's Insight
2 Overrun
24 Forest
I do kinda wanna find room for at least a few Strangleroot Geists and a Vorapede. I'll probably cut down a skinshifter or 2.

At 4cmc, I don't see how Increasing Savagery won't be played in a green deck. 4cmc for 5 +1/+1 counters and is flashbackable for 10 more? Yes please.
Edit:
And just for lolz, I want to Increasing Vengeance my Increasing Savagery in a G/R deck. ;D
