At prerelease I got a Beguiler of Wills. She was absolutely amazing. A single activation is worth it; multiples is gamebreaking.
I only lost a couple games, but one of them was to a hexproofed (mask of avacyn) Beguiler of Wills. I had no chance on winning once that happened.
The vault of the archangel is just flat silly. It makes combat impossible for your opponent and can break stalemates like a boss. I didn't lose many games when it landed.
EDH is like French fries: some people like waffle cut, crinkle cut, or plain old straight cut, and while there's slight flavor difference and personal preference, at the end of the day they're still fries.
Sorin, Lord of Innistrad did pretty well for me. My only loss was to a guy with 6 (no joke) of the 3 cost burn spell with flashback, backed up by Huntmaster of the Fells.
Do you mean best card for limited that we pulled, or the best possible pull?
Personally despite managing to go 4-1 I didn't actually pull anything amazing(just a solid deck with a GB base and a good low curve(lots of 2 drops), a couple of nice pieces of removal and a Spider Spawning to back it all up).
That said 4 people at my prerelease managed to pull a Sorin, Lord of Innistrad and it was to my mind the best new Dark Ascension card to pull for limited(and the best cash value as well), however i'm not sure that it's quite as good as Olivia Voldaren is.

Vault was stupid. I was destroying one guy until he dropped that thing and turned it around on that alone. there was just no way to answer all that life gain
For me, it was Falkenrath Aristocrat with the massive amounts of synergy I had in the deck. Mausoleum Guard, Rally the Townsfolk, Doomed Travellers, Skirsdag Flayer, etc.
Needless to say, the deck won me 4 straight games and I split for 19 packs. I'm also keeping all of the cards I played in the deck today because it was the most fun I've ever had playing sealed.

I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.
Wizards print good rares, players complain about cash grab. They print underwhelming rares, players complain that the cards suck. They spoil the best cards first, players complain about the insane prices of preorders. They spoil the meh cards first, players complain that this is the worst set ever.
So. I think I understand now.
As far as these forums are concerned, WotC can never do anything good because:
Card that is new and probably good = "pushed"
Card that is new and probably bad = "EDH/casual fodder"
Card that is a reprint = "lazy"
Card that is a better version of an older card = "power creep"
Card that is a weaker version of an older card = "worthless"
Garruk for me was amazing. As was creepy doll
Based on what I played against, Sorin, derp.
Also, I played against a thraben doomsayer plus flayer, which was insane.
Hellrider destroyed.
I also went against a stalker equipment combo. They had 2 stalkers, a cleaver, inlaid dagger, and demonmail. That was brutal

i tested jace tonight and its one of the worst planeswalkers. it never really does anything except make u lose. i suggest u sell yours for 17 each like i did.
then again on valakut
ROFL what? Valakut? The best card in standard is Jace the mind Sculptor
hm.... interesting.
Haters gonna hate on my jank decks.
Flayer of the Hatebound + Cackling Counterpart.
Had a handful of Undying dudes. They swing with big dude, Cackle the Flayer, Real Flayer dies, comes back, 10 to the face.
Lingering Souls was great for lots of people. Hellrider was able to end games almost instantly upon being dropped. Easily one of the best rares from DKA.
There was a guy who pulled a foil sorin and he would NOT shut up about it. He kept asking for $100 and boasting about it. We banded together to move his wheelie chair a good distance from the table after that. Also, lost every game too.
Well I went 3-2 only losing to a R/G and a Blue deck with the 1/1 hexproof guy who a ***** when he got the lifelink equipment, For me it is was the Kruin Outlaw when ever he hit the field he won me games. Geisflame was also a superstar for me. I also won a game with the new fog. Did not use but two of my rares in my sealed pool though the orther were not very goor. But i could have had a sorin, I passed a guy the packs that were handed to me and i got a new set of six packs. All because i was being nice.
Anyway, Requiem Angel did quite well for me tonight, often netting me enough flyers to end the game fairly well. Combining it with Elder Cathar and the Human tokens from Gather the Townsfolk was awesome as well; turning them into evasive creatures really turns the tide.
Mondronen Shaman, when it flipped, was also pretty sweet, giving some good reach.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.

My #1 card still goes to lingering souls. It is absolutely back breaking to your opponent's removal.

it's insane and so imba,
his other card are Thraben Doomsayer and Elder of Laurels
I am on second place, all because of Ghoultree,
and also Gravetiller Wurm and Increasing Savagery
my only lose vs Beguiler of Will, she just stole all of my creature

Mountain Fresh.
Niblis of the Urn and Niblis of the Breath are both amazing at stopping your opponent from stabilizing against fliers.
However, I have to say, my UB human/spirit with Requiem Angel and Increasing Devotion[/i] worked amazingly well with Shriekgiest as a backup with Increasing Confusion. Unfortunately, I did go 2-2 due to an Elbrus and a wall of spiders.
Anyway, Requiem Angel did quite well for me tonight, often netting me enough flyers to end the game fairly well. Combining it with Elder Cathar and the Human tokens from Gather the Townsfolk was awesome as well; turning them into evasive creatures really turns the tide.
