Looks like WB gets a card that will make token decks happy at a bare minimum.
I'm wondering if the manabase can support Wedge colored decks like Junk, or if Adjacent colored decks like Esper are the way to go here. With all of these utility lands I can see manabases becoming incredibly shaky if one were to try and run multiples (i.e. Gavony and Vault).
It just seems to me that they are pushing dual colors with these lands, but having the entire set of 10 Core Set lands available, the mana base is there for 3 colored decks of all sorts, but not with many of the colorless lands
Im liking this card a lot, B/W tokens is getting a nice push.
So far:
T1: Doomed
T2: Gather the Townsfolk
T3: Virtue/Doomed
T4: Sorin - Token
T5: Sorin - Emblem/Tap this land, attack with 2 2/1 ll/dts, and 3 3/2 ll dts.
What a great demonstration of exactly how easy you can get overpowered with the new Sorin and this new land. Black and white (especially white) have no shortage of cheap token making cards in Standard, and this land - even while you have very few tokens out - can allow you to swing for devastating amounts.
I like this land in Standard, but I'd rather have one for my commander deck There are many formats that will get a boost from this land, and probably from the other 4 lands that this one suggests (a set of 5 like we saw in Innistrad, but this one made up of enemy colors).
Does anyone else think that this land gives more evidence that Avacyn herself (if a card at all) will be WB? I mean, here is a BW land that has all but the angel herself standing in the frame- and we have the BW Sorin, who seems to have created Avacyn.

I think you're completely right about that; in this block, at least, Avacyn will be WB. If Wizards revisits her character later, though, she may appear as mono-white.

It's looking more and more likely that she is W/B instead of pure white, since we do have angels in both white and black in magic's history IE: Angel of Despair
But moving onto the card itself i can see Tokens, EDH decks with these appropriate colors and of course perhaps Esper getting a boost from it if the mana base is correct.
Hm, something like this... a gob of tokens or Mirran Crusader on the field with Vault of the Archangel and Sorin. Either a mass of lifegain-ing, deathtouch-ing chump blockers (guess they're not chumps if they have deathtouch) or a double-striking deathtouch\lifegain? I think the meta will change a little post-release. if another B/W enemy land comes out...

It is indeed possible, but Wizard may have some tricks up their sleeves. The question that bugs me is "where has avacyn gone" and "what has avacyn turned in to". I think the second question is the important part, because even if avacyn is "restored" it doesn't mean restored to the being Sorin created in the first place.
There is a possiblity Avacyn could be any sort of color combo (or just mono), and I think theres a chance she may be Mono B, having being corrupted in Sorins abscence and no longer the protector of innistrad but its destruction.
this cards seems pretty good if there is a b/w token deck. but it seems to have more casual implications than competitive. Im very happy to see this card spoiled because it confirms that wizards plans to complete this cycle cant wait to see the others!
Its a simple to the point card, I hope this can help BW tokens as its a style that seems to deserve a chance at standard.
I'm just happy we get this cycle now instead of third set:D

Vault of the Archangel is good in the sense that it turns everything that's swinging into little Wurmcoil Engines (minus the tokens after death). Personally, while this card is great in weenie decks, I'm thinking on the opposite end of the spectrum with Grave Titan and Primeval Titan in a more experimental direction of a WBG ramp deck... maybe even Gavony Township and the BG dual land (if it comes in this set and is good).

Lots of powerful cards right there. Keeping the board clear is Black/White's speciality. Getting to the late game when you have Titan, a PW, and the extra mana to spend on this ability shouldn't be too hard.

If you check out Conley Woods' Wolf Run 'Rock', you see a Black/Green midrange/ramp deck that splashes Red to abuse Kessig Wolf Run. You could just as easily use a Plains and this card to make your Primeval Titan semi-unblockable and cause a 12 point life swing with 1 hit. Township is another excellent idea because of how much synergy it has with Grave Titan. Any actual White spells would probably be a bit tougher to fit in, but Oblivion and the new Sorin both become options at that point. As long as you can hit Primeval Titan, you only need 1 of each ability land.
Because True Conviction is bad and costs six mana, and this is a land.
Orite. This only costs 5 mana every time you want to use it, makes your mana base worse, offers only half the life gain, and adds nothing to your clock.
It's all so clear now. This effect is good and True Conviction's is bad.

High active cost abd it won't provide addition damage or card advantage.
Good card in Limit.
Fair to low for constructed
Creatures: Grave Titan, Doomed Traveler, Midnight Haunting, Mirran Crusader
Spells: DoJ, BSZ, Doomblade/GftT
PWs: Sorin and maybe even Elspeth or Gideon
