For the record, I was referring to how easy the card was to kill with Twisted Image, not to any possible combat shenanigans.
There is one possible I'm interested in, however. Let's say you stick Trollhide on this tree. Now it's 15 toughness. You then use it's ability. Your life total becomes 15, the tree's inherant toughness becomes 20, but gets +2 from Trollhide. Use it's effect again next turn, your life becomes 22, the tree becomes 15+2. Next turn, your life is 17, the tree is 22+2 toughness. Wash, rinse and repeat.
Does that work like I think it does? Cause if so... cool.
Yes. The faq details this interaction with toughness pumping abilties

Take a mechanic from the pre-mirrodin era, and a mechanic after the mirrodin era, and create a card that flavorfully melds both mechanics.

Does that work like I think it does? Cause if so, it sounds like a pretty damn powerful lifegain engine. Throw on a Strata Scythe and you could conceivably gain life every second turn equal to the number of forests you've got out, which could be pretty awesome in a mono-coloured deck.
With that combo, you don't actually gain life each turn, so it can be disrupted, such as when you drop down to 15 from the first activation.
Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
I think Mono-Red is going to be dead for the foreseeable future. They really need some more 1 CMC creatures for Red to take off.
Mono red like it is right now is dead. But take a look at some of the lists using infernal plunge and geosurge. T2 koth or inferno titan, yes please! A slightly more fatty oriented red deck is going to see some play for sure, be it big red or the type i've just mentioned.

The word "exchange" occurs very little in the game. I see 14 cards that "exchange control", four that "exchange life", Arcanum Wings, and Morality Shift. The four that exchange life does so between players. I think this adds to the "mythic" feeling of this card.
