You know what? As a casual player, I love the hell out of these. Much better than the ravnica lands, when 2 life can really matter. I really do hope these are $5 because I would love to pick up multiple playsets.
This is exactly the sort of topic I cover on my site Check it out if youre into MTG financials.
Anyway, about the Duals: SCG is pre-selling them for 7 bucks each. The U/B dual, which is usually the most expensive, is only pre-selling for 4 or 5 on Ebay. I'll be amassing these at the release events, but if anyone wants them from my binder, it's gonna be a 10-spot. They don't seem that great right now, but I think they're way under-rated.

Well you are a casual player thats why you like them. Tournament players dont like them so i dont think there price will be more than 5$(thats good since we can get them easily).
I myself am mainly a casual player, and I love the Ravnica block shocklands. With the new lands, if they had basic land types on them, I would be pre-ordering them. If the life loss concerns you, there is always the new lifelink enchantment, the older spirit link enchantment, or creatures with lifelink already on them.
I see them selling between $6 and $10, depending on the color combinations. Of course, here, they'll cost $20 each and I might be able to buy them at $12 a piece when they're about to rotate.

I just checked ebay and looking at completed listings all of the 5 new duals are pre-selling for $7-8 each ($28-32) per playset.
Not sure where you got your information, but they are solidly in the above mentioned range.
I expect these lands to hover in the 6-8 range for a while until october, and then shoot up to 8-10 or so once zendikar comes out. I expect Zendikar will have some sort of mana fixing duals, but I wouldnt bank on them being enough to push these lands out by any means.
I know a lot of the tournament players that come to our shop for our FNMs (with attendance of about 30 every week now) are miffed that the pains are leaving and these new lands are replacing them, but they also admit that once the rotation comes in october they will likely go up as they will be one of the only duals available to use. So even though they dont plan to use them yet, they are looking at picking them up early before they inevitably go up.
I suppose we will see what inevitably happens, but for now I expect these lands to settle into a range of about 6-8 for the forceeable future.
these lands arent all that bad, if you play a shard color like jund or naya, you just need to get down the right basic then the duals all come into play untapped, with terramorphic expanse it isnt that hard, and in extended, these lands are going to be good as well, so these will probly be good, and i wouldnt be surprised to see the enemy color series in zendikar
Well right now on SCG they're five bucks preorder (the last time I checked, others are saying differently). Once people start playing with them I could see them going for no higher then $10.00
I see these selling early at the 6-8 range then dropping considerably once people actually play with them and would lean much more towards the lorwyn/shadowmoor block lands.
I see two potential scenarios arising for these lands depending on what the content of Zendikar are. If there is no dual land that can produce mana turn 1 then these will hover in the 6-10 range as theyd be the only dual lands available. If there are any dual lands that can produce mana on turn 1 in Zendikar without some insane drawback (5+ life or mill large amounts of cards from your library, skipping turns etc) the M10 dual lands will be completely ignored by the tournament crowd leaving them around $1-2 more tha nthe invasion taplands

Every rarity gets good cards. That means that some mythic rares will be tournament quality as will some commons, some uncommons and some rares. My promise wasn't that mythic rares wouldn't get good cards but that we wouldn't limit the good cards to only being mythic rare.
Bear this in mind the next time a powerful mythic rare is spoiled

Last time I checked they were going for $7.49 each. I can't reconfirm because SCG isn't loading for me...
I personally wouldn't want to pay more then $5 a piece, they don't feel very strong to me. I would almost rather a tapland in a two color deck. They shouldn't go above ~$8 a piece.

No theyre bad. Rare dual land cycles that dont tap for mana on turn are bad for cards in that slot. Gussy the low power level of the cards however you like but based on the articles on wizards website these were intended to be as powerful as previous rare dual land cycles. Whenever they felt they needed to readjust the power level of a card to something lower they would always tactfully explain why theyre doing what theyre doing and why it is necessary for the game to be viable (ex. when cancel was first revealed to take the place of counterspell for good). All we see right now from them are articles that brag about how incredible these dual lands are and that they are better than pains.
Theyre really only playable in 2 color decks which dont really need them much anyways. Once the new set hype dies down theyll settle into their median price of around 4-6 then drop off the face of the earth if there is anything remotely decent in zendikar

I really do hope that they settle at around $5. I'm moving from Indiana to Oregon and trying to buy my first house soon and won't have much money for magic. I think that these lands are mediocre, which is just what I wanted!

The ability to produce mana on the first turn is not the only thing that makes a dual land good. Regardless of what you may think. And even if they make some decent new duals in zendikar I still see basics being something that will be here to stay and thus these new lands will still see plenty of play especially after the rotation in october when the duals in general will be limited.
And they still have plenty of good interaction with extended and the shock lands so I imagine we will see them used there as well, especially now that the. I would go into further details as to why a dual doesnt need to produce mana on the FIRST turn to be good, but Ive hashed that out so many times in other threads that Im really just tired of arguing about it. Everyone has their own points of view on these lands, in the end its just a matter of time until we see whether these are as good, bad, or average as people believe them to be.
If you want the new dual lands without having to spend $60 a playset you should buy them now, or at least before rotation. Odds are that they'll be the only game in town.
They will drop when they'll start to get opened. Note they're almost 2x more common than say Painlands in X'th ed. Should stabilize at ~$6-$7 in about 2 months.

No one EVER said these would be better than pains. They said these would be a sufficient replacement for pains, which I believe they are.
Peoples dislike of the taplands is primarily because they don't play nice with other nonbasics more than the turn 1 mana thing. And they were redonkulously overhyped as a replacement for pains, which filtered 2-3 color decks since Ice Age was legal.
Unless we start seeing lots of nonbasic lands that have land subtypes, these lands will likely be second tier, or people will simply fall back to more consistent two color decks with 4 of these and a bit of prayer that they don't get color screwed.
If they're the only game in town, they'll be around 4-6 bucks, unless WotC prints nonbasics with land subtypes. My guess is that the W/G will go for 3.50-4.00 dollars and the U/B will be 5 dollars after the prices settle.

M10 is coming anyway, like it or not. And soon we gonna have to switch our painlands to the new duals. How much you think you gonna trade for it?
If you suggest a card to add to a deck, suggest one to take out as well.
if there are no new lands/better lands in Zen.
