So, following a number of developments in Magic Set Editor the last few months, I've decided to do something new this rumor season. I'm going to maintain an MSE set file alongside the spoiler. I intend for the set file to be regularly updated and maintained alongside the spoiled cards here on mtgsalvation.
Why is this useful? For a number of reasons.
1.) MSE set files can be used to patch Apprentice and Workstation (with varying degrees of success).
2.) MSE now has a booster pack generator. However, the booster pack generator that comes with the program is incapable of handling Mythic Rares. If a user wishes to generate booster packs using Mythic Rares, they currently need my Magic Booster Pack Generator Expansion.
3.) There is now a companion program by a forum member named Lordpenguin called "DraftWithMSE". DraftWithMSE allows booster drafting against 7 computer opponents using sets generated in MSE. The program correctly handles Mythic Rares. Find it here. Unfortunately, the opponents aren't very intelligent yet.
4.) MSE is capable of just generally functioning as a sortable spoiler, with statistical tools.
I'm conducting this project using a Subversion Repository. That means that others can edit the set file if they wish. What is needed to edit the file?
1.) Subversion software. I use TortoiseSVN.
2.) An Assembla.com account. I would need to know your account name.
3.) Magic Set Editor 2.
4.) A desire to help.
If someone wishes to help, but is not familiar with subversion, I am willing to help them setup a system for editing (the process is very easy).
In the current version, there are only 4 cards (excluding basic lands). Those cards are Sarkhan Vol, Ajani Vengeant, Hellkite Overlord, and Vein Drinker. There are however, a large number of place holders containing art and possible names.
is there a direct link to Download MSE2 without using the website, my crappy virusware protection kills my internet anytime i try to get it and thus it's making it incredibly difficult to do anything regarding the program or Alara (i'd like to make Mock-ups for playability in my paper decks)

How to export images.
1.) Click on the card you wish to make an image of in the card list.
2.) Choose File -> Export -> Card Image...
3.) In the dialog that pops up, you can change your save location, as well as the name of the image. You may wish to also change the extension by changing ".JPG" to ".png", and changing file type to "PNG". This will give higher quality images.
How to export to Apprentice.
1.) Choose File -> Export -> Apprentice...
2.) Click "Browse" and go find the folder you have Appr.exe stored in. Click Appr.exe, then click "Open".
3.) Type in a two character set code. "SH" and "SA" are both available; "AL" is already taken by Alliances.
4.) Hit "OK", and wait. Then enjoy.
The set file is now at 135/249, with 90 other arts, most of which have names.
The set file can now be used to generate sample booster packs, although they are still a little unlikely to occur in reality; there are too many panoramas and obelisks still compared to the total number of known commons.
A screenshot of a sample booster pack is attached. Note that the images shown are not actual MSE quality; they are jpg compressed print preview images.

Use of this set file will of course require Magic Set Editor 2.
The set file can currently be found here.
A list of updates can be found here.
