WARD OF BONES 6 (R)
Artifact
Each opponent who controls more creatures than you can't play creature cards. The same is true for artifacts, enchantments and lands.
Mages dare not attempt magic in its grotesque presence.
174/180 David Martin
The plan:
Accelerate into early Ward of Bones.
Sac all of your stuff.
Wait for your opponent to run out of cards.
You'll need a way to deal with the stuff your opponent casts before you get Ward out. Restore Balance works nicely. Maybe some pacifism-type cards as well.
how about this?
T1: Mountain, Rite of Flame, Rite of Flame, Rite of Flame, Ward of Bones, Suspend Greater Gargadon, Sac Mountain to Gargadon
T11: Win
Fix'd.

Turn 1 Badlands into accel into Browned Sofa? Sounds like a new lockdeck archetype, where this time you intend to have less as opposed to more permanents than your opponent.
So you sacrifice all of your permanents except this... But that doesn't change that the opponents have their permanents. You have 0 creatures, they can still have 1. Unless you consider having to take 10 turns to get beaten down by a Grizzly Bear because you sacrificed all of your permanents for some reason annoying, I don't see this flying.
(Also this is a white card. Why is there no white mana in its mana cost?)

When did this become a white card? It's an artifact, numbered where the artifacts are and bearing no resemblance to a white card.
Unless you are still confused from Mirrodin? I know those artifacts looked an awful lot like the white cards from the same set.

It's a white effect, or at least it should be. They are constantly giving innovative, interesting white effects to other colors/artifacts.
Comprehension is your friend.

It doesn't have to be white just because it is Balance's third cousin twice removed, and I don't even think the card itself is very white. It's not really an equalizing effect, it says "You may have more than me, but you can't play anything after that." Where Balance gives each player the same number of everything, Wrath of God destroys all creatures, Armageddon destroys all lands, and Rule of Law limits both players to one spell per turn, this card still gives your opponent the advantage.

It's rules setting, which is well within White's pie. Especially the sorts of rules that say "Can't" (see Abeyance, Moonhold, Rule of Law, Chronomantic Escape, Orim's Chant, etc).
Regardless, whether it should have been white is debatable. I clearly didn't look at the card and accidentally see a white card. If you had any integrity you'd at least acknowledge that you were wrong for jumping out there like that.

I had no intention of insulting you. You must acknowledge, though, that it is possible to mistakenly see things incorrectly. I had thought it possible that you misread something on a previous post, perhaps even in the topic in which this card was revealed. As indicated by my use of the tongue-sticking-out emoticon, my remarks were merely in jest. I did not think I was "jumping out", just pointing out to someone who may have gotten a bit confused somewhere why we know it is an artifact (in case this person would remain stalwart in their defense of it being white), followed by a joke at the poor printing job Mirrodin went through.
We can't assume everyone on the internet is entirely observant and deeply thoughtful. I apologize if, in my cautious approach to an electronic stranger, I managed to step on your toes a bit.

Hmmm...RDW accellerating into a bone yard? Sounds annoying. Just pick of the creatures with (cheap) burn and then accellerate into the yard on turn 4 or 5 FTW (especially in standard with lotus bloom). And it's a perfect card for a U/R deck where all of the cards are instant/sorceries anyway. Frankly, with all of the aggro in the current format this card may see a new archetype.
Also keep in mind too, that if you both have 0 creatures, they can still play one so it's not as restrictive as you'd think.
However, it is definitely a card for a U/R counterburn deck since that style of deck rarely plays permanents besides lands. Or even some weird legacy artifact control deck. It would be so annoying to go up against this, Tangle Wire, Smokestack, Chalice, etc.
Might cost too much though to really be all that effective.
Interesting. Well one creature can still make it out. I'd think this could go well in a mostly white control deck. You can keep an opponet restricted to one creature. If that creature has pacifism (or a similar enchant on it), he's boned.
Now the real potential for this.. is in 2HG. Note it says 'opponents'. So working with a partner, play this and wipe everything else.. and both opponents will be restricted to having 1 land, 1 creature, 1 enchantment and 2 artifacts. Vs your fully functional partner..
You'll obviously need some heavy hitters/ fast guys to cope with your opponents while you wait, though. I suggest (In a red white deck): Nomnom, Boros Legionaire, of course, Raging Goblin, and this new Hobgoblin thing we'll be seeing (the three mana, 2/2, double striker), and maybe some more expensive diversions along the way (But nothing topping four mana).
Sounds like a cool deck, though. can't wait to try it out

Friend, artist, magic player, but most of all, Polar Bear God. We'll miss you, buddy
It's odd, but kind of like the ultra-jankalicious Enchanted Evening deck I want to try something like this out, before Gargadon leaves Standard. Probably won't work well in general, but wow that would be annoying.

It's a bad card. I looked at it at first and thought... wow, could be broken! (I ran a Gargadon+Balance combo deck at FMN for a long time, I like those sorts of things.) Except then I re-read the card.
Your opponent will always be able to have more <whatever> out than you. One more creature, one more land, etc. If this forced things such that they could not play <whatever> if they had and *equal* number to you, then we'd be getting into good territory. Also, it costs six. This does not do anything about everything they played before you cast it - if they're already leading in creatures/lands, you'd better have Wrath or Boom/Bust backup. One creature is more than enough to kill you, especially with creatures like Cham. Colossus and Oona around.
Yes, if you can get it out on turn 2-3 it's crazy, but the likelihood of having that much acceleration *and* this card in hand is... slim. And even then, an aggro deck is likely to have 3+ beaters out, killing you while you spend your time playing a 6-mana artifact (and they will also be playing things like Spectral Procession, which is not a creature).
It doesn't have to be white just because it is Balance's third cousin twice removed, and I don't even think the card itself is very white. It's lines of thougt like this that put white where it is today.
This card, Pithing Needle, Trinisphere - all cards that should be white. Instead they print them as artifacts, and give white not-quite-good-enough weenies.
It pains me to see a color that should be about planning and rules-setting get flooded with cards that push it into a creature rush with no game plan.
