My guess is they'll probably cost around 15 euro... They should be 10 really, but they'll be hyped to 15 anyway Anything more would be robbing poor magic players from their hard-earned money!
With the upcoming duals only coming in a 4/3/3 state (speculation). How much do you guys seeing them go for? My guess:
Prerelease: $40
1-2 months after: $30
3-6 months after: $20
I think they will stable out around 20. Due to the impact on Extended.
I roughly agree with this. The median will probably be between $20 to $23, with some as high (or higher) than $30 and the less desirable about $15. Note: this is all in US currency.
Didn't they specifically print these so that those of us on a tightish budget could make a splash into Legacy and Vintage? I really hope that everyone remembers that and doesn't start charging "real dual" prices for these (as good as they are).

Hey, you. Yes, you reading this sig. Get off your computer, go find a copy of Skies of Arcadia: Legends and play it. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I don't think they made them restrictive enough to NOT be worth at least 75% of Real Duals.
One thing everyone seems to be forgetting is that, unlike the original Duals, which were only around for Alpha - Revised, and thus are in very short supply, the "new" duals wil be MASSIVELY printed. How much do Apoc pains go for WHEN THEY WERE IN PRINT? Thats a better baseline for prices than the original duals after the initial hype dies down.
Also, I almost wish they hadn't printed these, lets review the cards that you can get mana from now in allied colors, using R/G as an example:
Wooded Foothills
Mossfire Valley
G/R Guildland
G/R New Dual
Karplusan Forest
Shivan Oasis
Pinecrest Ridge
While not all of those are playable, thats still a pretty big supply. Enough to make a G/R deck essentially monocolor in extended. Just a thought, but are we REALLY going to be happy with the essential elimination of color as a consideration in deck construction in extended? R/U/B Tog now can easily splash Kataki to handle Affinity for example. When you have a massive card pool and color isn't a limitation, the environment changes drastically.
Given that the T2 environment will already have the full 10 painlands, I don't think demand for these is going to be quite as high as some people are anticipating. Some decks will prefer the painlands to these for one reason or another. Also, if either type of dual gets too expensive, some players will opt to use the slightly inferior version in order to save money. How much better one type of dual turns out to be than another will determine how big the price differential needs to be for players to start buying the alternative land.
For example: Brushland costs $4 max. If Temple Garden is only marginally better and going for $20+ (as some speculate), then some players will opt for Brushlands. This is why I expect these new duals to max out in price at around $10-$15 since the 9th painlands are reasonably close substitutes and there is already a large supply of them (and hence lower overall prices).
Of course this deals strictly with T2. Fewer players play Extended, but these lands are likely to be very widely used. So while this will raise prices, it is hard to predict how much since there are more unknowns.
One big thing that I think will affect the price is the Extended PTQ season. I believe it starts in October along with the release of Ravnica. During Extended season, playable Extended cards see a price increase as more players need to obtain them. These are obviously very playable with the fetchlands and Extended has no cards that are strictly better than these. I think the choice lands will easily hit $25 to begin with, regardless of what the original duals go for. Dual lands are better, but choice lands can be played in THREE more formats, which also happen to be the three most popular formats (Extended, Standard, and Block). Therefore, their prices are not going to be hindered by the fact that duals are better. As new deck designs pop up, whichever choice lands are used the most will hold their value better, while the others drop slightly. I don't see any of these going for less than $10 for at least a few years.

I am not paying more then 15 CDN per Temple Garden. I also know alot of people who will not pay more per G/W fetchland, once again I fully believe the blue and red combinations will be most valuable.
Bel- Speak the truth Brother! Drafting is the best way ever to get rares that you need. My store is especially sweet because it only costs $11 to enter but the only prize is a promo card. Nevertheless $11 is cheaper than buying 3 packs and drafting is hours of fun!
If you can't find a place to draft...well...read articles about sealed on the net and try to win a flight at a prerelease. The prize in Columbus for 1st in a flight is a box! That should get you started out right.
As for pricing on the (insert name) duals...it'll depend on what decks come out on top. I think gift of estates in T2 may make all the white ones retarded though.

Problem being , the best cards will always cost more.
I suggest booster drafting and trying to trade.
Im sure everyone will draft the rares and especially the lands... small town... I didnt draft any rares but my own for the kamigawa release... and I won. Figure that one out.
I don't think they will go above 10. i say this because I think that they're going to turn out to be more common than we all think. My guess is they'll be a Precon for each guild and that you'll get 1 of each of these in the matching precon. Yes, they may go up due to the impact on extended, but I don't think so.

I doubt they would put these _____ lands on precons since we have those common guild lands(or whatever you call them). But if they did decide to put some in precons, ima buy all of em . I didnt believe my friend when he said twincast's price will be $12+ when it comes out since I told em it would be around $7-8, but after SoK's release, he showed me

Wow...3 packs at my shop is like $9.60 :\
Also...we pay 10 to enter, and the prize for first is 8 packs...i thought that was low truthfully...
As for the price on the new dualies, I think all the sype will start them out at about $20-$25, but they will drop to around 10-15 in no time. Even though the origionals are better, these can be played in the more popular formats now, and that seems to raise the price more than anything.
Off-topic: MSRP for packs is $3.69, which translates into about $4 (depending on your sales tax; mine is 8%), meaning 3 packs would be about $12. At my shop drafts are $15, which is why I haven't been there in a while (especially because right across the street, I can get packs for $2.99).
On-topic: I really really REALLY hope that WotC is smart enough to put the duals in precons. I am another very poor Magic player who would LOVE to get a playset of these so I can enter Legacy. I'm finding it hard enough getting fetchlands; unless I get a very high paying second job very quickly, I would be surprised if I could scrounge up the money for these.

Standard-legal cards rarely get up over $15 (assuming you don't buy from overpriced dealers/sites). Even during the height of Affinity, Ravager didn't go much over $15. And that was when nearly 50% of all decks needed that card because it was clearly the best deck in the format. Now if this upcoming T2 format shakes out how many people suspect it will - wth a multitude of viable decks like Invasion - then no single dual will be demanded as heavily as Ravager was. Furthermore - as I said before - the 9th painlands will likely take some of the pressure off the prices.
Finally... they're just lands. I realize how important a good manabase is and that most competitive players (including me) will be playing these in their decks, but an expensive land is easier to cut from a deck than an expensive spell. Instead of playing Overgrown Tomb, some players will play 2 forests and 2 swamps. The difference that these new lands make in a manabase is not nearly the same as the difference that some other high-priced spells make in their respective decks. Gifts, Jitte, etc are not replaceable and make a bigger difference to a deck's performance. These lands - while undoubtedly excellent - do not have the same kind of pull.
