Hymn to Tourach mmmm. That card brings back memories. I built my first reanimation deck after cracking open a Fallen Empires pack and finding it and Soul Exchange. I loved the idea of playing a Sengir Vampire from my graveyard. It just felt like the right way to play a vampire . Hey, when you're 15 years old it's all about the style lol
peace
PS: oh yes, I have to be on topic or else the 56kers would have to load nonsense. I think Soul Exchange should have been included. And thrulls so that it would work.

wow, this entire thread looks like some enormous Misetings-style bandwagon, with improper spelling, unrealistic expectations, and Swahili-style grammar.
me, I have more realistic expectations, like Leshrac's rite

if you are ever being chased by a police dog, try not to run through a tunnel, then over a little see-saw, then jump through a ring of fire. theyre trained for that
I don't quite know why not - it just doesn't feel right to be in a core set. (Too good of an uncommon?)
I still ask why not? What makes it not feel like core material and why do you think it too good an uncommon? It seems balanced to me.

Two cards i would really, really like to see back in T2: Mutilate and Diabolic Edict. These would put MBC on the map... again. Maybe even Innocent Blood
I expected Mutilate and Innocent Blood to make it to 9th. I figured the swamp dependency such as that of Nightmare would be an interesting and viable thing in 9th. Guess I was wrong. Diabolic Edict was a longshot. Cruel Edict is a reasonable replacement.
To be honest I thought distress was a shoo in... It seems to be a properly powered discard for its cc
Duress was a shoo-out once it was revealed Blackmail was in. There is no way WotC would ever have two 1cc hand distruption spells in the same set.

Agreed with RMS. I would like to see Terminate make a grand Encore! in RAV...
I expect it in Ravnica.

I would of liked to see hym and coffers and dark ritual and megrem
Hymn to Tourach idn't gonna happen. Not even funny to suggest it. No color specific land like Cabal Coffers will ever see a core set. Make serious suggestions, geez.

Demonic Tutor, Dark Ritual, Juzam Djinn, and Necropotence all in 10th.
The closest you'll ever see to a Demonic Tutor in a core set is the Diabolic variety. Necropotence and Juzam Djinn are on the no reprint policy.

Black cards? Hows about: Phyrexian Boon; Grinning Demon, Hatred (wishful thinking). Oh, and Phyrexian Nega... <smack> Quiet! Suiblack, you know you're not allowed out of that box...
Phyrexian Boon would be kind of cool. Props to that one. However, Phyrexian Negator and Hatred are on the no reprint policy. You know that and why Grinning Demon won't be back.

Mutilate
Diabolic Edict
Hymn to Tourach
Dark Ritual
Nantuko Shade
I've already commented on Mutilate, Edict, Hymn and Ritual (snicker), but I thought Nantuko Shade would have made it in 9th. It would have been the perfect aggro critter really could use.

Living Death has always been one of my favorite cards, but alas, I assume it's considered too powerful.
Living Death is on the no reprint policy. Though I think it or a slightly more expensive functional reprint could find its way into an expansion at some point.

CARD]Soul Exchange[/CARD]
Soul Exchange does two things that WotC doesn't want in the core set. They don't want cards that affect s minor species, i.e. thrulls and they don't want any counters in the core set except for charge or +1/+1 counters.

Thank you. A reasonable mind in here. Uh until I looked up Leshrac's Rite. Why would you want such a narrow poor card. You can raise your expectation for any color other than when it comes to the core set.

Had you been playing me, you'd have been really screwed. My advice to you is Duress first, taking thier Force of Will or more importantly a Misdirection if they are playing :symu:, then play the Hymn.

Chimney Imp, Dripping Dead, and Cursed Centaur. My wish list.
Here's an example of a former player trying to express to WotC what comparable goodness he wants in :symb:.
