Now that we've got the full detail of the spoiler we've had a few shocks(most notibly what reduce to dreams really is) but there's also been a nice suprise(at least for me) in that Tendo's Ice Bridge which we thought was legendary(and therefore pretty bad) is actually a normal land and i think its pretty good.
it now reads:
Tendo's Ice Bridge
land (RARE)
Tendo's Ice Bridge comes into play with a charge counter on it.
Tap: add 1 colourless mana to your mana pool.
Tap, remove a charge counter from Tendo's Ice Bridge: add 1 mana of any colour to your mana pool.
illus. Rob Alexander
The arts not bad but the card without the legendary restriction is actually pretty good, sort of a revamped gemstone mine. If you don't have super heavy coloured mana requirements and you're splashing any no. of colours this card is definitely worth a look in my opinion.
i definately think this card is playable, especially for the early game. it helps prevent against being mana screwed. if u need it turn 2 or 3 for its color, so be it, it did its purpose. and youll definately have use for it later just as colorless. i think its better than mirrodins core early game, but weaker late game.
Tendo Ice Bridge*
It probably has some potential. It certainly helps early game mana screw, which was probably what it was meant to do, and it will probably fill that function just fine.
Yeah...I like Mirrodin's Core better since it's uncommon and rechargable, but this is good for the early game, as previously stated. It may see play in block, POSSIBLY T2, but I know I don't want to see this in my card pool tomorrow :grin2:.

I actually think this is going to see its fair share of play, both in standard and block constructed, I even go as far as saying it might have possibilities in extended.

I think this is a very good card. I like the Ice Bridge better than the Core simply for the fact that it doesn't have to charge in order to get colored mana. Sure, its only one shot at colored mana, but usually thats all you'll need to get rolling. The Ice Brigde pushes the "doesn't untap next untap step lands" that have an option for colored mana from CHK out of the picture, IMO.
Ice Bridge is a nice casual card, but I don't think it will be that great for competitive constructed. Those types of decks are too focused and need to tap their land for colored mana multiple times over the course of a game.
I don't see the potential most of you see. To me this card is jank. I'd much rather use the tap lands. Sure they might be slower, but they are far more reliable. Last thing I would want is to draw multiple Ice Bridges and no basic land.

It may be true that if you draw multiple Ice Bridges and zero basics you'd be in a bad position but that's true of most multi lands, getting multiple CIPT lands in a row sets back your mana development by a huge amount, getting multiple city of brass in a row puts you in a huge amount of pain and so does getting multiple painlands in a row and even multiple fetchlands in a row is painful and thins your land making it likely to miss land drops. In fact the only multi lands in history that you wouldn't mind seeing heaps of are the original dual lands.
Also the chances of actually getting a hand with 2-3 Ice Bridges and no other lands and not drawing into other lands, especially in a 22-24 land deck is astronomically small. After all mono blue control decks(which i play) run between 6 and 8 man lands which contribute nothing to the colored mana needs(and mono blue runs hinder) and in all the time i've been playing with monobluecontrol(since 5th dawn and vedalken shackles became legal) i've only a couple of times had an all man land no blue source hand(and in 1 control mirror when this happened i kept the hand and won with land beats).
And besides all that if you do get a hand with multiple Ice Bridges in it(and no other mana fixing) why are you keeping it anyway that's what mulligans are for, because while most good players accept that city of brass is a good and playable land, very few would be stupid enough to keep a hand with 3 city of brass and no other land in it.
I think the land will serve as a manafixer, like lotus petal. And after it gives you the colored mana, you can still use it, so it does not deprive you of the land drop. My guess is that this will be used in constructed both in standard and maybe in extended aswell, especially for decks relying on more than 2 colors (don't know the meta, so I can't think of any). Since the land is not legendary you can play with all 4 at once (however if it is, then this is crap).
The land also allows 8 non-green manafixers in extended, and that's not too bad for multicolored decks.
this land seems pretty good...heck i thought it was decent when i thought it was Legendary...i garuntee it'll see play in T1 and T1.5 combo decks and will probably find homes in Extended, T2 and Block and although i wouldn't pick it high, i'd quite possibly play it in limited as well depending on my deck

I think Ice Bridge is a very good card, and will see play in Standard, Block, and Extended (it's not better than the painlands, but it serves as a very good 5-8, or in decks that can run Fetchlands, 9-12).
This gives mana diversity when it's at its most scarce, early game, and doesn't bog you down with a drawback, saving you a few life points when you get to late game and don't need it anymore.
Not to mention that in T2, there isn't much to choose from, and unless you've somehow made a deck that doesn't care about Forbidden Orchard's drawback, this is the best there is. Sad, eh?
I realy like this card even though it only activates once, it does also work very nice with moonfolk. I can definatly see cephalid breakfast decks using 3-4 of these in extended, as well as some other combo decks.
in extended cephalid breakfast might use this to help their mana base consistancy, other than that I cant really think of a deck in extended that would use it. As for type 2 I really can't see much use for it unless some nice 3 color decks come out of Kamigawa block, or if theres a really splashable ravager hoser printed :D, only time will tell I guess....
i played in a tournament on fridcay. i played affintiy to a sedond place finish. vial lis broken i wonws many games son th3e poever oif it.
Unless i am mistaken Oxidize, V Shaman and E Witness are showing up in just as many decks and warping the metagame as much as Affinity. They should just ban all of Mirrodin block. Onslaught was always the best block ever. I had a U/W Cleric wizard deck that couldnt be beat.
Short answer: No
Longer answer: It's only useful once. Compare this even to the neo-depletion lands; you'll be getting multiple uses from them, this just nets you a single early game 'any color'. I wouldn't play this card in a deck that required multiple colors. With that said, I also wouldn't play this in a two or monocolor deck just to avoid being beasted on by NB land hate. There's just too many things wrong with this card for it to be useful.
it would be a nice combo with a cubble of energy champers in play........
I assume you mean Energy Chamber, a card which can put charge counters on non-creature artifacts. That would be good if the Ice Bridge was an artifact. Then you could have all sorts of fun with Power Conduit , Coretapper and other cards of that nature. Unfortunately, the Ice Bridge is not an artifact. There are plenty of ways to make it an artifact, but it's probably not worth the effort.

GOD DAMN FIGHT THE MAN, MAN!!! GRRRRRRR REBEL MAN YEAH!!! GET OUT YOUR TIE-DYE T-SHIRTS AND SOME ATOGS WITH PEACE SIGNS MAN! YEAH! LETS GROW OUR HAIR OUT LONG AND COLOR ON OUR MAGIC CARDS WITH SILVER SHARPIES TO REBEL! YEEEEAH!
This land has one purpose in its life, and it's to help splash a spell, that's all.
For it to work in an adequate way it would have to go in:
a.) A control or combo deck, and
b.) Supporting at most one or two off-color cards.
Why not aggro? Because most aggro decks I've seen need access to colored mana early and often, and would usually need to reuse it. I was thinking about putting it in UG Madness, to splash Flametongue Kavu, but after the FTK comes down I just might have needed to use that bridge as an island for, say, Circular logic or Intuition.
Then, IMHO, the bridge would be of great use for that one-shot devastating spell (as in combo) or for that deck that doesn't mind having leftover lands around. In particular, slow or mid-tempo decks that are actually using City of brass (be it on standard or extended) to splash, would greatly appreciate a couple of ice bridges.
At least, that is the way that I'd approach it at first.

As "watersta" pointed out, it does have good synergy with moon folk. I doubt it`ll see Type 2 play with cards like City of Brass and even Mirrodin`s Core lurking around. Its certinly possible as a block constructed card.
Its not great by any strech of the imagination. vbmenu_register("postmenu_60295", true);
It fixes all the times you get mana screwed though. A lot of times you can just use colorless..city of brass says no you cant. If something comes a long like a tutor you splashed black for..there ya go. IMO, its a great card. But whatever. Its not the best of course..but I like it.
