Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
So it's a spoiler, not a leak. Eh, little difference to us.
I was right that they went mono-color. But very wrong with their choices. Most likely they find a way to de-phyrexianize the walkers at some point. But hey, maybe 13 pre-phyrexian Jaces was enough.
This seems... weird. Nissa being compleated feels off since she already earned Gaea's favor in the story, and compleating both Jace AND Vraska feels like an obvious wasted opportunity. This would also mean a mono-cycle of compleated 'walkers which is a bit of a mismatch with the previous compleated design and would mean Wanderer and Lukka are next, but... how and when did the Wanderer got compleated? Since she shares a spiritual bond with Kyodai, wouldn't compleation SEVERELY mess up Kamigawa itself? The way this was presented also feels off, it's too "clean" for a leak.
My tinfoil hat theory? This "leak" isn't a leak at all but secret spoilers for March of the Machines: The Aftermath, which in reality isn't an epilogue story at all but a "what if?" alternate reality, maybe created by Teferi's time travel shenanigans. That said, if this turns out to be the real deal, I wonder how WotC will pick up the pieces of this story after all is said and done.

The news stream confirmed that 5 of the 10 planewalkers announced to be in the set (Wanderer, Nahiri, Kaito, Jace, Koth, Kaya, Tyvar, Nissa, Vraska and Lukka) will get compleated. These three fit with the alt art mythics that will be appearing at random in the Bundle Compleated Edition
Well I was definitely wrong with those three, I figured they were safe, especially poster boy and his sorta girlfriend. I'm sure some of these characters will be cured/saved what have you.

I'm fully aware of all of that, it doesn't makes the leak/reveal any less strange. Considering how OG New Phyrexia is infamous for being leaked early, if there's any one set where it would make sense for WotC to be extra safe with leaks and/or try to pull a misdirection stunt like that, it would be this one.
I'm kinda baffled that they'd let a major story point of the set out this early. They could have milked the spoiler season so that the planeswalkers were some of the last rares/mythics previewed.
one of the theory is these walkers could be sleeper agents among phyrexian walkers as in they are completed but not on norn's side
That would require Urabrask, the one praetor who doesn't want people forcibly compleated. He wants you to agree to compleation. Thing is, none of those planeswalkers are red...

It could be that Jace isn’t really completed but is using his telepathy to make them believe they had completed him. But I don’t know enough about phyrexians to know if their brains can be altered.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone

it is more they alter their memory. it was explained that Tamiyo believes her family is phyrexia

Good point. Looks like they just pick up major design elements from the praetor who compleats them. That means we'll have to wait and see the regular art to find any Phyrexian double agents. If compleat Jace looks like he just walked out of a crucible, then he's Urabrask's agent.

The storyline thread folk were figuring that Jace was the opposite of safe the moment that they found Luxior stuck in that art's chest.
Luxior should still have enough Halo to fight off Phyrexian corruption, though, so...
...perhaps some of these walkers get cured of compleation pretty quickly (e.g. by the end of March of the Machine)?
Yes, let’s piss off an even larger part of your fanbase by ruining or killing all their favorite characters. Absolutely splendid job Wizards.
They better have a freaking huge long term payoff here but given how God damn mediocre Magic’s story team is I’m not holding my breath.
you didn't read the lore did you
They teased the compleation on walkers might be curable
Tezzeret picked up the cloak, white with gold trim save for faded patches on it, off-color, pink like scar tissue. It hadn't registered with him until now that it was the same cloak once worn by Elspeth Tirel. Interesting. He was aware they'd been allies on Alara, but not of how close they'd been. Tezzeret studied the leonin, knowing that deep inside that compleated body, the spirit of the true Ajani still existed. Suppressed. Was he aware of what was happening? Was the cape some kind of cryptic plea for help from the recesses of the leonin's mind? If so, Ajani was a bigger fool than Tezzeret had thought. This was neither the time nor the place to expose oneself in such an overt manner.
Wow, this is wild. Aren't Jace and Nissa both uncompleated in some promo art for March of the Machine already? Did I imagine that, or will they get quickly cured?
Turning two of the most popular/famous walkers over to the Phyrexians is big. Seems especially tragic for Nissa.
Also, yeah, this isn't really smart spoiler behavior in my mind. Very weird.
oh by the way we use number crunch saids no mono red walker so lukka survives too. (But hybrid boros still lives though so Nahiri)
Lukka does have his toes dipped into Boros w/ his "companion," Mila (Lukka, Wayward Bonder). So he hasn't completely dodged the "Completed" bullet yet. Very good chance you are right, but I won't be surprised if him and Mila get a 2-for-1 treatment, like Minsc & Boo, Timeless Heroes, putting them in the Boros tribe, so to speak. What would be interesting is if something like that happens, maybe have a Mila Phyrexian token that either arrives with playing Lukka or is part of the plus or minus abilities. Definitely some interesting design space there.
Nahiri has also been represented just in white, so she can also be a solid white 'Walker... heh, "White Walker"... She's gone blue-eyed zombie from beyond the Wall... Ack! John [Snow] run!

new cards leaked and i didnt expect those to be the walkers
Regardless, Jace gets completed!!! There is the "shocking" news.
Either that or these are a new flavor of Pringles.
Half the walkers get completed and then a Iron robot saves the day, where have I seen this before? Hmm............

It looks like Nissa might cost seven mana, two of which are phyrexian. Goes well with the high starting loyalty.
Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
