Our next batch of Secret Lairs this time around are a trio themed around Orks, the Age of Sigmar game, and the Blood Bowl, all in the Godzilla treatment.
Pity it won't actually come with that nice longbox.
Assuming these are available in foil, the Scourge, Defense and Assault are all worth (currently) well more than their box if the price point is the usual 39.99.

Scourge was already reprinted in foil in the mystery booster retail edition.

Sorry for my possible english mistakes, I'm not a native speaker.

If you're in America, I'm in Australia and Secret lairs are basically double the price you guys pay.
Hey look, it's how they should be doing all the crossover IP stuff. Still not buying it.
This is where MtG is headed now. Even in places like this forum, you see some people complaining about Warhammer UB but then getting all excited when a Final Fantasy UB is announced. For this project to fail, the fanbase would've had to show Wizards that they didn't want any crossover product whatsoever ... but that obviously wasn't the case.

Those that poo-poo'd one UB and cheered for another is likely from them being fans of one IP. UB is easy for WotC to sell because someone will buy it based on the IP appearing and nothing more. It's amazing how easy it is to sell things to people when they have a recognizable character on it.
I'm not angry, I just think you're silly. Spend your money how you want but find some happiness while you're at it.
What does that even mean in response to me not wanting to buy something? You believe me not liking this product means I have no joy in life? I don't, but it's not because of this product.

I think they're just tired of all the vitriol in these forums nowadays when these posters dont even represent a small fraction of the MtG playerbase, yet post their opinions as if they solely speak for everyone that plays. Like this guy for instance:
Personally, I like these cards and as I am putting together a Hazezon Shaper of Sands deck that I've commissioned to look like one of my favorite anime characters, I'm kinda tickled that the reskin of Defense of the Heart is called "Perfect Defense" and I will most CERTAINLY be purchasing the set and I also hope to use the other reskins elsewhere.

That's great for you, it's awesome you can get joy out of this, but someone stating their opinion isn't "speaking for everyone." Not sure how you came to that conclusion.
That previous confusing post is still confusing in this context though.

Your opinion is not sacrosanct, just because you have it does not make it beyond reproach or comment. You called me angry which implies turbulent emotions towards you, but rather I find you silly, which means a source of light comedy. In simple words, I find your position to be a joke. By your self-admission you have no joy in life, so why waste your time (and money) dragging others down into your morass instead of making yourself happy? Unless you enjoy trying to be grit in the gravy, in which case I'm your huckleberry. Savvy?

Oh no, I wasn't saying that you were stating your opinion as speaking for everyone. However, you can get where I'm coming from that the way people post their opinions and could leave it simply as a "this product isn't for me; I feel that it detracts too much from Magics roots; it's outside of my budget to buy a product every two weeks; etc, choose to instead post 3 words that are vitriolic in nature, kinda feels less like we're having a discourse of the product and more like a poo-slinging-fest. I've simply stated my opinion and also my opinion of why another poster posted what they did.
There's too much negativity in this world, we should try to take some of it out.
You called me angry which implies turbulent emotions towards you, but rather I find you silly, which means a source of light comedy.
That's certainly one way to interpret that, but that sarcasm definitely came as a "Oh god, shut up already," and it was quite clear there was anger there.
In simple words, I find your position to be a joke.
Hey look, I was right, it was anger, just in the form of looking down on it. Air is less transparent then you.
By your self-admission you have no joy in life,
Yeah, and it has to do with a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with a children's card game or this sub par product they put out. What don't you get?
so why waste your time (and money) dragging others down into your morass instead of making yourself happy?
Holy crap, that's what you got from me saying this is how they should do crossovers and me not wanting to buying it? That's hilarious. Even base jumping doesn't jump to conclusions as much as you did there. How in the world does me not wanting to buy a thing drag others down? Seriously, I'm gonna need you to explain that craziness.
Guess I created a morass at the grocery store this morning when I didn't buy a candy bar or an Unfinity collector's booster. I'm literally laughing at the "logic" that took place for you to come to such series of thoughts, it's almost beautiful in it's insanity.
Unless you enjoy trying to be grit in the gravy, in which case I'm your huckleberry. Savvy?
Oh no, I wasn't saying that you were stating your opinion as speaking for everyone.
Right, it wasn't mine, but to a previous post you did in fact infer to their distaste of the product being as though it was speaking for many, which wasn't occurring in the least bit. That is definitely what you did.
There's too much negativity in this world, we should try to take some of it out.
The reason there is so much is because there is a lot of negative stuff out in the world and ignoring such aspects doesn't make things better. Even in Magic more negative things keep appearing and you will see folks complain about it more as it keeps occurring. It's as simple as that.
Folks cannot like negativity all they want, that's their decision, but when someone doesn't like something you don't just go "SHUT UP! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN YOU BRING PEOPLE DOWN," like you see with the insanity above. That's not positivity, it's childishness. It's negativity about negativity and it's no better, and often worse, as it's usually an attack on the person rather than trying to have a discussion.
As you see here they went to an attack on my character rather than anything else, and if that's someone that's "tired of negativity" then it's weird to start off with insults, isn't it? I'm sure you can agree that is negativity and that poster is not tired of it when they continue it as well.
@Dontrike are you okay buddy? I can't speak for every other poster in this forum, but I was suggesting that WE be the change that we seek. It's got to start somewhere and just lobbing vitriol all over the place even in response to other vitriol isn't creating fair discussion. Some people aren't going to like this product, you've made your stance on this quite clear, and there have been a few other people that have expressed their opinions on this as well. However, this forum doesn't encompass all the opinions from every Magic player on the subj3ct, and a vast majority of those players won't even see this thread, let alone parse the posts to see if they are as like-minded or not.
Additionally, posting vitriol in here is not a good way to let WotC know your opinions on the matter, which is what it feels like the negative posters are trying to have heard. Except they aren't hearing it. If you truly want to express your disdain for this product you should submit feedback to them. Likewise, you could also praise them for their work if you liked the product exceptionally well. I, myself, did it just recently when I discovered that the Secret Lair envelopes had a differently designed thick cardboard "Thank you" insert in them for (minimal) packaging where one was in the style of a Composition Notebook and the other two had different stylizings.
Also, I'm sorry to hear that you're having a tough time in life my dude. I, myself, am going through a bit of a struggle right now but I'm choosing to look at the bright side of things. I'm not ignoring the negative stuff, I'm just choosing to try my best to not let it get to me because tomorrow is another day and hopefully one better than the last!

See, here's the problem, I was okay with just saying "I'm not buying it," and moving on, but then someone had to make it about something else, and I had to respond by showing how bat guano it was. I don't suffer people like that anymore and I will call them and their nonsense out.

They won't hear it even if you give them your opinion directly, and I do when I receive their latest queries about how their products have been, especially in their current "we must double profits every three years" mentality.

And that's great of you to do so, but honestly, the only product I've been surprised by lately, in a good way, has been Kamigawa. I thought that would be terrible, but I was proven wrong. Then I was proven wrong again when I thought Capenna would be good. Then most of the releases have been plain not for me and it's easy to criticize as Magic moves in a direction that feels far less like itself, from IP trains to $1000 proxies.

First up, our Orks, comprising of two actual Orcs, a Goblin, a Vehicle, and an actual card of value.
From the Age of Sigmar come constant reprints, an ETB tapped enchantment, and two cards worth more than $10 each.
Tonight on the Blood Bowl, these four cards again, Defense of the Heart, and a mana football.
Bonus cards will be revealed on the 17th, when preorders open.
Assuming these are available in foil, the Scourge, Defense and Assault are all worth (currently) well more than their box if the price point is the usual 39.99.
Scourge was already reprinted in foil in the mystery booster retail edition.

Not enough to fill a Commander deck, so thats a bit of a problem if someone wants to have a "Ork" deck.
