Alright, let's get this out of the way: that wall of text is not suspend. Unless the card you exiled has suspend already, those time counters do not come off during your upkeep, only when you tap Alaundo for his ability. You have a couple of ways to go from here: find a way to keep untapping him, sequence the effect right so all those spells get cast at the same time, use actual cards with suspend, or just treat him as a looter in GU.
They put plants into sets for the next upcoming all the time; that said, I wonder if this is a precursor of what we'll expect in Dominaria United/The Brothers' War.
In a nutshell, it's basically the OG Jhoira without suspend declared.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
He looks either stoned out of his gourd, or like his mom just caught him doing something embarrassing.
Also it's mechanically very different from suspend although it looks the same. Suspend cards are inevitable. These can be stopped by removing Alaundo. It works (very well) with lands, which suspend doesn't.
Lessee . Neo , Trinity , Morpheus , Cain , Abel , and Asherah all need to die . Alaundo ("Allah Undo" , a reference to the "Gni!" series from Strixhaven) is Morpheus , and it looks like he·s already short a Delver·s Torch .

There were a series of running gags going on during the Strixhaven days where everyone was practicing counter-ciphers , reading a word backwards and then drawing what the reversed word says . So anything ending with "ing" comes out as "Gni!" or "Genie!" . Cards like Practical Research actually have hidden messages in them . (Incidently , the one for Practical Research is a real knee-slapper (1920s slang for "hilarious"))

Alaundo foretold an immense amount of death and destruction, so I wouldn't blame him for trying to turn his brain off. That, or he saw how decades later cults and an entire illithid citystate would fight over his skull.

I mean they do, but mostly only in standard legal sets.

So if I'm reading this right, Ancestral Vision and similar cards could never be cast off this ability as when they are suspended via this method they are put into exile with zero time counters and thus have nothing to remove (would not even be cast off their own suspend ability as again no counters to remove).
That said you can remove time counters off other cards you suspend normally so that is actually a very interesting use case for this card.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
I do think this ability is slightly more powerful than people are saying, if only for the fact that Blue and Green are very, very good at untapping creatures multiple times in a turn, or across multiple turns. And that fact alone makes it interesting in a way that differs from suspend.
Sure, it would be better if it just gave spells Suspend, but I don't think it's always about making a card the absolutely most efficient version of itself?
Sometimes, it's about making an effect that is interesting, and requires you to think differently about building your deck. You have to build an Alaundo deck differently then you would a Jhoira deck precisely because of his ability.
It's also about giving more options for opponents, I think. If he just gave cards Suspend, the only possible counter would be... well, counterspells. This way, you can effect the timing of the likely much scarier spells being cast by messing with the creature. Or, you can play politics, and defend the Alaundo, letting his controller hit certain spells in exchange for not targeting you with them.

It doesn't work at all with lands since you can't cast them. You're stuck exiling them instead.
