In a two player game, the third thing doesn't happen, right?
Thats a good question. I'm curious if you get to choose which 2 effects trigger in a two player game. The way its worded seems to imply that you cannot.

So I can't find a direct parallel, but generally, these three rules apply:
1) Effects always happen in the order listed
2) If you are instructed to choose something that exists, you can't choose to not choose
3) If you are instructed to choose something that does not exist, nothing happens
So in a 2 player game, only the counters and the card draw will happen.
i loathe the toxicity that is group hug and kingmaker strategies in edh more than any other strategy or aspect of the format.
i love the art and flavor of this card, i just hate the kingmaking group hug aspect of it so much that any game against this thing (or anything like it) you will immediately become the target just to keep you from dictating who is allowed to win on YOUR merit over their own.

Y·know , unless u and ur friends are all playing for , y·know , "fun" .

Can't agree more. Nobody who runs group hug does it to make the game more fun, they do it to ruin the game and feel like a powerful puppet-master while 'abstaining' and often get incredibly salty when you see through their facade and kill them before they can kingmake. Absolutely miserable strategy, kill on sight.
That said, this card is deceptively powerful when played in a straightforward fashion. You can often pick someone without creatures for the first part, draw the card yourself, and give the player with an empty hand the treasure, or some similar permutation. Politics obviously complicate the math further. At the end of the day you've got more-or-less a phyrexian arena in the command zone.

Speaking as someone who DOES play group hug for the fun of it, not everyone who plays the strategy is that awful. My playgroup has a fair amount of casuals who rarely build their own decks and just roll with precons. When some of them HAVE tried their hand at building their own, they tend to get steamrolled by the precons since they're novice deckbuilders at best. I play a couple varieties of group hug with them just to help them keep up and to help them actually have fun playing. I don't think I've ever won a game with one of my group hug decks, but some of them have been the most fun and interactive our group has had.
The Flumphs return for this crossover set, putting their best foot (tentacle?) forward with the friendliest among them.

Because they think players must mean other players (only).
