Damn, I was really hoping you could play backgrounds as a second commander with anything, not just with legends that have "Choose a background". Some of the revealed background cards would pair REALLY well with some of my existing commanders.
Oh well.
That would literally break, BREAK, the Commander format. Color identity would be rendered near meaningless. Add any one color to any deck (while also giving a benefit to the Commander to boot)? C’mon, man.

I think adding an additional color can be done, it just needs to come with downsides so that not every deck wants it.
Anyone else here notice that the card art on the Commander Legends release of Greven, Predator Captain looks identical to the shot of Irenicus before he falls into the lava in the Baldr·s Gate video game ka .
Dude's so asking to be sued for this. Wasn't he also planning to sell this stuff for cheaper than most places sell it?
No, the set has 361 cards in the main part of the set, some of the cards we've seen (at least 3) are from the Commander Decks, a few are just different art styles of the same card, two are from the list, and I think 2 make be fakes he put in to jazz up the his sales pitch (Wrathful Dragon and Wyll's Reversal don't look like the rest and according to The Magic Historian, a couple were faked to make the boosters look more exciting).
All together of the 361 we have maybe a third, roughly, and only one none Commander Deck part Mythic, Nautiliod Ship.
Asterion has 3 tribes with great tribal support (Rogues, Elves, Vampires), can play with cards that do cool things with life gain and death touch (like Vito), and just has some cool flexibility.
As fast as they are releasing sets now, I'm not sure anyone (Legal Dept) included will give a *****. Next set comes out next month after that. Just keep rolling...
I could not possibly hate these cards any harder .
Why, these seem like awesome, fun cards.
Perhaps they are designed specifically so that there are glaring flaws that only certain people would be able to notice , for the express purpose of evoking hatred .
I would quiz you on what the difference between Invoking Despair and Evoking Despair is .
Invoke means that you’re calling on something in the sense of calling upon a tool. Invoking a law or privilege, for example.
Evoke also refers to calling (coming from the same root word) but more refers to calling things to mind. Evoking emotions or memories, for example.
In real like, you could evoke despair but could not meaningfully invoke despair.
In a fantasy world with magic, though, an invoker of despair would be calling upon despair as a tool to accomplish a specific end (likely through magic) whereas an evoker of despair would be calling forth a mental state of despair (which may or may not be through magic).
TLDR: if despair is the tool, you are invoking it. If despair is the end result, you are likely evoking it. There can can be hypothetical overlap (such as if you invoke despair to evoke despair in those around you) in a magical world.
Evoke and invoke and kind of the same if its about deities, as they are not physical.
Can be to just bring it in the minds of people (thats more invoke) , like to remember them of something (like a law in court).
Or to more directly bring something to the real world with a effect that people can feel in some way, thats more like evoke.
To truly bring something in the real world that is physical would be to "manifest" it, rather than just evoking its non-physical variant, or "summon" something.
Something like an "evoker" would usually bring something like a flame out of nowhere, while an invoker would bring emotions like fear, depression, or happiness to their target.

Fear is an emotion .
Emotions are prohibited .

This is why, when people ask "Are they trying to get people to quit Magic?" that I hope the answer is sometimes "yes"

Oh... that's cute!
It seems to me that a partner deck would profit double from the theme though. It's a trade-off.
Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."
Factions: Sleeping
Remnants: Valheim
Legendary Journey: Heroes & Planeswalkers
Saga: Shards of Rabiah
Legends: The Elder Dragons

What if they murdered your father, raped your mother, stole your land, and slandered your honor?
Judging by their contrarian post history, they'd probably be thrilled.
well creatures inside Blim, Comedic Genius is the most obvious part for black creeatures
But to be specific
And pretty much the ultimate creature with him is Phyrexian Negator
I would be able to find blue cards but not sure how to find bad gifts in scryfall

So slight differences, but similar.
