Green's graveyard hate for the set has some form of cost reduction on it. Feels like the correct play is to use the cost reduction to cast a second Prowler. That being said, is there even space left in mono-Green aggro's 3-drop slots for this to make waves in Standard?
have to wait for more cards, but i could think of him in a Gx deck rather than the troll, since the 1 colorless makes it easier to splash another color... maybe
you reduce the cost of your stuff by exiling their stuff with this
yea I can wager this is the chase mythic of the set
I doubt it's the chase Mythic. Unless there's some EDH appeal I'm missing, but it doesn't seem busted in EDH either. In Constructed it's hard to see this card in formats outside Standard, there are loads of pushed 3 mana green creatures, even in Standard I doubt this card is better than say Old-Growth Troll in mono green. Outside Standard this simply doesn't cut it in a world of Unholy Heat, Fatal Push, Fury, Solitude, 3 mana creatures have to offer way more immediate value than this to see play these days in older formats.

oh yea forgot to mention it’s only 3cmc that’s the golden ticket cmc for outside standard formats but it looks like you forgot it survives lightning bolt

Yes, the golden ticket for seeing no play normally in a world of Lurrus' and ridiculous efficiency.
I know full well it survives Lightning Bolt, but the Lightning Bolt test has long lost its relevancy. A lot of decks, namely those that can easily achieve delirium favour Unholy Heat over Lightning Bolt these days. See Corey Baumeister's Grixis Death Shadow that he just won SCG Con with going 7-0 in Modern, he's running 4 Unholy Heat, 0 Lightning Bolt, and has constantly spoke on VS Live how he thinks it's a better card for most decks (ie. not Burn or Prowess).
It can be solid in EDH where I want to reduce the cost of my stuff consistently while also reducing the ever-present graveyard recursion that Commander decks utilize to create redundancy. I don't know anything about CEDH so I have no idea if that kind of value is relevant in that format. But in "casual" commander, I see the benefit.
And I just love seeing more wolves that I can utilize so that I'm not entirely reliant on wolf tokens!
The amount of incidental graveyard hate in the past two sets or so has been really interesting. It's not unneeded, to be frank, and it's mostly been single target stuff rather than your Bojuka Bog sledgehammer effects (Big exception being Go Blank)
This one is kind of like Mirror Golem in that it actually wants you to exile one of your own things to get the best effect. Also of note, this is an efficient body with Vigilance, think Brimaz, King of Oreskos. I think this is at the very least an excellent cube card.
Let me ask something. If I play this and exile a card and then play a second wolf and exile something of the same type, a creature per say. If then I play a creature does it cost 2 less?

No because it still only shares 1 card type with cards you have exiled with Cemetery Prowler. The only way for this to reduce the cost by more than 1 is on cards with multiple card types. The ability works pretty well with artifact creatures for example which are generally colourless, exile an artifact creature with this and you can start playing Arcbound Ravager for free.
I think you might have misread that. If you cast another Cemetery Prowler and have two out at once, you could have both of them exile the same card type and get a cost reduction of 2, since they're separate objects.
