I've just twigged, I reckon the reason they've held off banning Alrund's Epiphany is because of Thalia. Its why MaRo kept saying lets wait and see what Crimson Moon does to the meta.
That Chandra art is something else damn and while not as pretty her normal art is nice since it has her dressed in an Indian looking dress.
What cracks me up is that while Kaya can just bypass the barrier and Sorin kind of owns everything, Chandra being there + her dress means she actually got invited.
It's just hilarious imagining Chandra burninating the eldritch abominations spawned by Emrakul while Olivia, Mobilized for War looks at a distance and thinks "that girl rocks, better make friends with her".
Granted, Sorin also got invited...and hates the fact that he was in the first place.
Am I seeing the interaction between Wedding Ring and Consecrated Sphinx correctly? Presumably you'll get to the end of your deck first, drawing two cards at a time and all, but there's no "may" rider: once you've drawn a card on your turn, you can force repeated draws until one of you runs out of cards.
Edit: now I am legitimately curious about how the triggers would stack. You control C. Sphinx and one Ring then draw on your draw step. Your opponent then must draw a card, which allows you to draw two. Does Wedding Ring then put a trigger on the stack for each of your draws, and after the first resolves you draw twice again? Or does it respond to a single event that drew you two cards with one trigger that draws both cards at once? This interaction seems kinda nutty to me.
Second edit: also, isn't it weird that you can force any opponent (who doesn't have hexproof, at least,) to marry you? Granted, this ring isn't legendary, so draw enough copies and you can forcibly marry the whole table (or Megamarry that one blue player who draws a ton.)
So the rules state that when a card tells you to draw multiple cards (e.g. Draw 3 cards. Or Draw X Cards) it's actually that many individual "draw a card" effects. Each card is drawn individually and triggers any effects that trigger upon drawing a card, such as say, oh I don't know, a Wedding Ring or Consecrated Sphinx.
Clarification: you will resolve the whole lot of "draw a card" effects at once as part of the resolution of that spell or ability but then that many triggers will be waiting to hit the stack once all that is done. The only thing that could've put a spanner in the works is if the ability read "whenever... draw one or more cards..." because then it would only trigger once even if you had "Draw 53 cards" resolving.
It think the artwork in this set is going to make me hyperventilate.
Fang Frame Olivia is pretty much straight off a Cradle of Filth cover.
I see Chandra be cosplaying my Queen, Kaywinnet Lee Fry. (Anyone remember Kaylee showing up in that dress at the aristocratic party where Mal stumbled himself into a duel? Man, I was agog...)

This set is going to be visually splendid, at the very least. And, yeah, Sorin is really rocking that Geralt of Riva thing. The Fang Frame is splendid GOTHIC.
It's funny how they keep writing stories for these sets and "Oh yeah, Kaya is irrelevantly ghost-busting in the background too." Maybe it's just a slow-burning arc, or maybe it's an inside joke.
Like all the Sorin's except the basic version - looks way too human. Looks like Geralt's college dropout brother.
Love all the Bastien art. It's excellent stuff - the right kind of gentle obscuring effect that I appreciate in Magic artwork.
Chandra art is different, but appreciated - we always see her in various leather and linen guises, with those goggles. She looks almost like she stopped off in Eldraine first before making her way to Innistrad.
Training seems like an ability that does nothing in constructed unless the put it on some pushed 1 mana card. The problem with the ability is by definition the card has to have low power to trigger the ability, but they have to survive a turn, and you need to have another creature that can attack with higher power to use the ability unless any have haste, that's just bad in constructed magic. Take the white mythic here, yes the effect is powerful, but it's a 3 mana 1/2 that has to survive a turn and have another creature alongside it to do anything. There's just too much that can go wrong with that to make it anywhere near viable. Even if your opponent just has 2 bigger creatures it's not really doing anything as they will just block it and get their creature back, which can be even worse if it's something with an etb ability.
I didn't see it elsewhere in the thread (and if I just missed it, I apologize) but one of the cards shown at the end of the stream to advertise Double Feature is new.

Interesting that Savior of Ollenbock doesn't use the "exile until" template, but an Oblivion Ring-like seperate leaves the battlefield trigger.
I guess the hoops that come with training allow for perma-exile by flickering shenanigans.
Thalia is a very nice surprise. Can't say the same about Kaya though, I mean I like her but do we really need another one in Standard?
MORE KAYA
This has been a good year for Orzhov compared to previous years. I imagine Kaya will be Mono W or WB. I agree seeing Kay so soon is a bit redundant but she fits the worldbuilding perfectly.
personally I’m however most excited to see Sorin again (as I already love Kaya’s Kaldheim card). Chandra is an interesting choice here. Where did she get the dress?! Kaladesh?!

This looks really boring soo far, only nice cards are Olivia, Dorothea, Torens, lands and the mechanic cards. All cards have good art tho.
I think Exploit is an interesting choice and if they are careful I’m the names & mechanics they could easily reprint them on Tarkir, not for long though. Tarkir I bet will eventually get a two set feature much like Innistrad but with the first set featuring a ‘Dragonfall’, followed by the return of clans & Khans.
If popular, the blood mechanic could also be used again as well though it seems very base read and vampire focused.
I wonder what the WB archetype theme will be.

"This set looks boring, except" proceeds to name half of the spoiled cards. Ok!
Cleave is a really interesting concept but the execution is aestetically terrible.
Yeah, I think this was something where the designers got a little too clever and a little too cute. On the relatively simple one like this tutor, it could have just been done more cleanly with kicker or just writing out what the full thing would do without the brackets. And on the inevitably more wordy ones that really "show off" the mechanic, I think it's just going to be a confusing mess.
Exploit would have been so great if we were also getting a bunch of decayed token makers in this set. I can see blue/black being really fun in the "double feature" drafts that include midnight hunt!
Cleave is a really interesting concept but the execution is aestetically terrible.
Not to mention that could be a nightmare to translate to other languages, since every language got their own syntax and not all of them could be cutted cleanly as in english (a problem already existing for the overload mechanic)
Welp, Torens is slotting right into my Anafenza humans deck. *chef's kiss
Coven and Training were meant for each other, especially in limited. Double Feature seems like it's gonna be a blast to draft, might have to get a few extra boxes when pre-orders start.
What is with the normal Sorin art being a romance novel cover?
Dig Up should have been uncommon. It's a common or an uncommon effect, with the later being a tad more difficult to cast. The choice of either should not make it rare.
I'm not a fan of blood tokens, clearly they help Madness and other such effects, but I can only see these as mostly worse clue tokens.

No, Training's entire goal is to eventually erase your Coven by ensuring all your creatures have exactly the same power.

What bugs me most about that Sorin art is not that it's romance novel (I kinda dig that actually) it's that he just looks thirty years younger than other recent Sorin arts. It's really jarring in this week's story to see the new art and then scroll down just a smidge and see the grizzled crazy old monster Fateful Absence art.
You're right on dig up. I feel like it's rare because they think of it as a spiritual successor to Traverse the Ulvenwald, a previous Innistrad "bad land tutor or better tutor with set mechanic" card. The difference is the delirium version of traverse was actually efficient. Maybe this is still playable if "G, search a basic land" is necessary enough on its own for a deck, but I agree it still doesn't feel rare.

Which is odd if they're (in theory at least) supposed to play well together as the two white/green mechanics. Decayed and exploit are going to work so lovely in "double feature" drafts, these two may not. Or maybe the anti-synergy won't matter because you'll be able to accidentally get coven here and there in the meantime while building up your training dudes anyway.
Blood artifact tokens feel a bit uninspired which is basically just adding "Pay 1, Tap, Discard a card" to Clue tokens.
Gameplay-wise are really interesting and plays extremely different from the apparently similar Clue tokens. You can use the discard cost as a resource for many reasons as madness costs, dredge, reanimation purposes, threshold, delirium, delve and so on. That's not what you can do with Clue that simply makes raw card advantage or being artifact friendly matter and nothing more.
Now I officially want the existence of Angel Feather's tokens somewhere, an artifact that simply tap to sacrifice to add 1 life.
Fair enough though it would've been much better If you didn't have to tap and pay mana into it where you could just straight up discard a card, draw a card, and sac the token. The fact that you still have to tap and pay mana into it is what hurts it IMO. Also can someone explain to me why the Count Dracula Showcase for Sorin the Mirthless looks like he's trying to cosplay as Bob Marley? Why couldn't they portray him as Bela Lugosi's Dracula character from the Universal Studios Horror films? Why not just have Sorin as Alucard from Konami's Castlevania IP?
If you're going to have a horror inspired themed set you REALLY want to go out with a bang. At least they did Dracula more justice with Voldaren Bloodcaster and Bloodbat Summoner as an alternate art Showcase similar with Mothra from Godzilla as Luminous Broodmoth. Minor nitpick I know but it was something that stuck out to me like a sore thumb that I just had to address. Just lost Internet again as I was typing this so hopefully it will be fixed without having to wait a few hours. Unlike yesterday morning it took just one hour instead of up til 4 in the morning.

Cleave is that one GDS3 mechanic where you pay an extra cost to removed bracketed text, like Graveyard Dig. I gotta say, I wasn't expecting this mechanic to make it to black border any time soon.
Interesting that Savior of Ollenbock doesn't use the "exile until" template, but an Oblivion Ring-like seperate leaves the battlefield trigger.
I guess the hoops that come with training allow for perma-exile by flickering shenanigans.
It's because he also removes things from graveyards and returns them to play, similar to Angel of Serenity exiling things from play/graveyard then returning them to hand.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
