Please excuse if this is posted elsewhere but I haven't seen it here yet. But looks like Innistrad Double Feature coming out in January will be black and white versions of cards from Midnight Hunt and Crimson Vow.
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)

I see Papa Hasbro is milking it for all they can get!
Isn't that what draft-focus sets really are anyways?

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
This actually sounds really fun for drafting, because now we can do 1 pack of Midnight Hunt, 1 pack of Crimson Vow, and 1 pack of Double Feature.
The black-and-white art is kind of nice, the basic lands are growing on me for sure.
So let me get this straight. We used to do block drafts all the time and now instead of just stores doing 1-2/2-1 of both Innistrad 3's sets they.....create an entire product just to do it.
How much you wanna bet these packs will be an extra buck or two?
I'd rather Innistrad meets Universal Monsters and get some Godzilla-skin style versions of Bela Lugosi's Dracula and The Wolfman on Vampire and Werewolf cards.
I kinda wish instead of redoing the new cards from Crim Vow & Mid Hunt, they reprinted cards from Innistrad block and made it a combined draft set. That way you could draft the old Innistrad sets and even maybe do a special draft experience where you combine the old with the new!
I see Papa Hasbro is milking it for all they can get!
Yes you can see the directive they were given to double their sales.
I'd prefer a Ravnica Remastered or Kamigawa Remastered or Lorwyn Remastered. This just smacks of cash grab.

This subpar redundant grayscale product should be boycotted completely. Honestly, just leave it on store shelves for the next two decades and send an important message, because obviously, Wizards just wants to save on printing costs by reducing their consumption of color toner, and if these packs aren't cheaper to buy than their colored counterparts (regardless of the print run which we won't know anyway), they're essentially profiting even more than usual (excessively by any metric) at the consumer's expense. This is insulting, unacceptable, and functionality notwithstanding, at best, these cards art artificial collectibles, perhaps even more gimmicky and unattractive to me as full-text basic lands which so far is the frontrunner of terrible marketing ideas.
They should've just reprinted Dark Ascension, given the planeswalkers alternate art, and called the product Spark Ascension instead

Is this a thing we're doing as a community now? Wild conspiracy theories with no real basis in reality to back them up? Everything is some grand secret effort to kill paper magic and cut costs?
Personally, i absolutely love the black and white treatments. Ive hated everything else so far, but this one looks great on physical cards.
Ill take this over any number of *****ty styles theyve pushed out the past year.

If we are going to bring up cost and value, for the consumer this is a huge pro. This news pretty much means that in one way or another most of the cards from Midnight Hunt, Crimson Vow, and even older Innistrad sets are going to drop in price as the market is flooded with prints in multiple styles. In the end both the players wanting to build a deck on a budget and those willing to pay a premium to pimp out their deck are going to get what they want.
Honestly the choice to print cards in multiple styles, creating cheaper alternatives, has been one of the best decisions WOTC has made in recent years.

Never forget whose grace and favor led to your success and always give your thanks, otherwise you might be doomed to loose it.
I am not totally against a set like this. I think the concept is interesting. My problem with it is the time of release and taking up valuable space for other sets and formats that need reprints. It makes corporate sense to sell them when and how they are doing it but it just doesn't feel right to me the consumer. Again, that's just me. If the price is good I may buy some packs but I'm not going to buy a booster box of it for sure unless its dirt cheap.

So these packs are basically just glorified REPACKS of their own product ?
Amazin ... a new low ...
Why spend time and effort making new cards when you can just put the old stuff in a new pack and sell it again.
Seriously question who exactly buys into these products, somebody clearly does, but absolutely everyone i know is only buying singles by now, as the sheer avalanche of product completely alienated the experience.
If you are a completionist and want a full set, Magic is more expensive then ever (and not by a small amount, but by multiple factors).
At this point you can only really buy into very specific stuff and ignore all the rest.

Couldn't agree more, most Standard cards have become cheaper thanks to the mutliple alternatives, only some flashy mythics like planeswalkers are breaking the 10€ mark nowadays, so I'm quite happy with this. And the people complaining about WOTC "hurting their wallets"...did you know that you don't actually have to buy everything they sell? Also, if you want some specific cards for your decks, try buying singles instead of forking out cash for boxes and hope you open the cards you want...
Seriously question who exactly buys into these products, somebody clearly does
Drafters. It's a draft product. The whole point of it existing is to try drafting both sets together.
That option will exist when Innistrad 3-2 comes out, just like it used to when blocks were a thing. Didn't need a new product to do it.
Which set do you draft 2 packs of? Then your draft is skewed one way or the other.
i mean the obvious solution to that is to go back to more structured blocks rather than this one shot nonsense, but this ends up being a really nice middle ground too. its a solution to the problem of binding two sets together for limited without making one of those sets the emphasis. i'm all for this kind of block design moving forward but i'm betting this is the exception to the norm no matter how popular it proves.

Either? Choose two of one and one of the other? Again, back when blocks were a thing that's how it happened and yes both Innistrad 3 sets will be large sets, but the solution definitely isn't "here's another product."

The irony is that WotC produces these "issues" of not having a block of 3 sets anymore, then "fixes" the issue they produced with another product to sell the same cards in new packaging.
Its absolutely hilarious, but if just 1 person buys this product, it will embolden them in their path.
(They kinda did that in the past, like with the Premium all foil Shards of Alara packs, which had cards of all the sets in the block, so it was a 3-in-1 thing)
Which set do you draft 2 packs of? Then your draft is skewed one way or the other.
If you have a draft pod of 4, 6, or 8 you can just give half the group 2 packs of Midnight Hunt and 1 pack of Crimson Vow, and the other half 2 packs of Crimson Vow, and 1 pack of Midnight Hunt.
If you have a draft pod of 5 or 7, the same system gives you just one extra pack of either, so you, the pod, or the store can make the choice of which you'd rather have less of.
