If you think having Kithkin, Halflings, Azra, and Tieflings are trippy, Hobbit will likely be added with the Lord of the Rings set.
Don't think so. Hobbits are called halflings in lotr too. That's actually where it started.
Pretty sure they'll go with hobbits in a LotR set, simply because that's like the expectation. And modern Magic is all about expectations. I am curious if they will go with Ent over Treefolk though. That's a bit less certain.
"something only seen previously in Un-sets comes to black border"
A secondary deck, maybe?
Dice rolling. It's pretty synonymous with D&D, and lots of Un-cards have "roll a 6-sided die" and Sword of Dungeons & Dragons has a 20-sided die, but they don't like it in black-border. Coin-flipping is about as far as they take it in black-border.
I for one agree that dice rolling will be the new thing.
I think that dungeons will be enchantments that let you roll a dice once on ETB and once whenever you enter the dungeon, getting an effect based on how high you roll.
I think that big T Will have a high ward cost, will get some combination of haste and/or trample, and will shuffle itself into your library when it dies. Also, it will be mythic just because.

Could also be a creature type. "Head" is a notable one.
Orcus is a demon, not a devil (at least the last time I checked)
Also, let’s not ignore the Tarrasque in the room. Do you guys think big-T will be red, green, or Gruul?
ope, yep, you are right. I was getting things backwards. Orcus is definitely a Demon Lord (Page 136 of the Book of Vile Darkness, 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons for sure...though I know I have earlier references on hand.)
I get these to switched sometimes hahahaha, you'd think how much I use Orcus as a player motivation (especially in his Tenebrous form) I would remember this "minor" detail hahaha

I would hope for Gruul, but Mono Green could work as well. Could it be an indestructible/hexproof creature? I would guess so.
I think some recurrence effect would be more fitting, something similar to phytotitan. You can send it home for a while, but it will inevitably come back.

Maybe they'll use the ol God Eternal Bontu death/exile clause. Seems fitting for the hardest creature to destroy in D&D. I hope it's also insanely big; like an 11/11 or something (just picked this number because of the card teaser).
maro do you ever remember to read everything already shown before these? You did remember Dungeons was shown right?
1. Maro's not going to acknowledge an unintended leak, either directly or indirectly, nor do I expect him to particularly care if one of the teasers is already known. He's not gonna be like "Oh damn, the dungeon mechanic was already leaked on the internet, guess I'd better choose another teaser instead"
2. Not every Magic player knows about the leak in the first place, it's only known by people who go beyond official sources to look for Magic-related news and info.
3. Quit complaining about one (1) of the teasers already being known when there are nearly 30 others to speculate about. He could just go back to giving us zero teasers, would you like that better?
So we get...
• a new enchantment subtype (currently there are Auras, Cartouches, Curses, Runes, Shards ([[Niko Aris]]), Sagas, and Shrines) so this would have been a much bigger announcement a few years ago before... Runes, Cartouches, and Shards... also Dungeons was already known...
• a card that gives -11/-11... tragic slip makes this meh
• a creature with a death trigger that makes an equipment token... Harvest Hand
• a legendary creature that makes a legendary hamster creature token... so Hamster is a new creature type... but there are 13 cards that create legendary tokens, (two of which are legendary lands, one a legendary enchantment, one a legendary artifat, two legendary planeswalkers, and the other 7 are legendary creatures) so this is really nothing new (Kari Zev, Skyship Raider) (yes this is Minsc and boo... cool... not teaser worthy stuff...
• something only seen previously in Un-Sets... the cheese stands alone and barren Glory... this happens all the time.
• an artifact that's a musical instrument that creates harmony counters... I mean there were two whole cycles of verse counter enchantments in Urza's Saga... not exactly new territory ((https://scryfall.com/search?q=set:usg t:enchantment o:verse&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name))
• a card that can keep your opponent from winning the game... just like Platinum Angel
• an ability that cares about attacking with a certain amount of power of creatures... so a cross between Mosswort Bidge and Windbrisk Heights... I guess that might count as new... but not noteworthy
• cards that let you decide where the story goes... like Outpost Siege
• a card that creates a legendary creature token named Vecna... see legendary creature token comment above... also note that Cackling Counterpart and a host of other cards can make a legendary creature token named ((insert the name of a legendary creature from Magic))
• “Exchange your hand and library” Harness Infinity
• “Skeletons, Vampires and Zombies” undead slayerDeath Baron
• “Spend this mana only to cast Dragon spells or activate abilities of Dragons.” Crucible of the spirit dragon
• “for each different mana value among nonland cards in your graveyard.” Agadeem's AwakeningSeasons past
• “Then if you have fewer than three cards in hand, draw cards equal to the difference.” Damia, sage of stoneskull raid
• “Whenever you cast a creature spell that doesn’t share a creature type with a creature you control or a creature card in your graveyard,” Guardian Project
• “You may cast [THIS CREATURE’S NAME] from your graveyard if a creature not named [THIS CREATURE’S NAME] died this turn.” Nether Traitor
• “When its power become 20 this way,” Figure of DestinyPrimordial Hydra
Am I the only one extremely Meh about this?
Judging from everyone else talking about the type lines only... I guess not.
What is the point of this post?
The teasers are meant to bring attention to certain things that will be in the set. They're meant to make the players speculate on exactly what the set will include that utilize these snippets of info, and how they'll do so. The way you're phrasing this, it sounds like you believe that the purpose of these teasers is to highlight things in this set that the game of Magic has never done before, and failing because we've already seen some tangential variant of the teased effects before.
"Exchange your hand and library? Yawn, we already saw a similar effect on Harness Infinity. What is even the point of telling us this?"
The point is to generate excitement and discussion.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Ya know I can understand this sentiment. They've pretty much done all that they can within existing rules and other infrastructure so there isn't really that surprise factor or much else they can do to garner additional "wow!" factor outside of creature types or specific character creation.

• an ability that cares about attacking with a certain amount of power of creatures
This is quite similar to how Warlord Saga of the Storm ccg made the interaction to defeat their dungeons.
Like, in Warlord the dungeon template is:
Challenge Rating X (during your turn as a action you can tap any amount of characters you control with combined lvls equal or greater than the dungeon's challenge rating. If you do, you defeat the dungeon and remove it from the game)
Static Efect
WotC could have used the same template but instead of character lvls they could have used creature power and the need to attack for defeating a dungeon.

Almost like a Planeswalker; a card that can be "attacked" to be destroyed but also gives you a lot of power and is an enchantment? I could see that.
The un-set mechanic may or may not have been revealed
Dungeons they they work like contraptions
3 dungeons to choose from you venture is you enter the first room then venture to reach the next and so on to the end some and some cards permanent benefits if you complete one
so entering a room is like adding a crank counter.
Just here to post the thought before it's confirmed or debunked: I think the enchantment subtype will be Quests and they will function the same as the quest counter enchantments from Zendikar, and those might be errata'd to be Quests.
"a legendary creature that makes a legendary Hamster creature token" Minsc and Boo
"a card that creates a legendary creature token named Vecna" Hand and Eye of Vecna or some combination.
"Legendary Creature – Devil God" We have already seen Tiamat. So its a safe bet that its Asmodeus
"Legendary Creature – Beholder" Most likely Xanathar
The Devil God could also be Orcus though! IDK, I just think of Orcus first even though Asmodeus is more powerful.
Orcus is a demon, not a devil. Asmodeus is a devil.

Will be interesting to see some of the adaptation in magic.

Oh great, Owl bears.
There are quite a few characters that fit that type line, just remember that for a Dragonborn being a paladin was a great honor.
For Exemple:

And also there may be the odd case of a dragon in human form, or a dragon with a class... lol

Red, could be r/g, but I think mono red.
Really big creatures are very much green's thing, as is magic resistance.
