Eh I don't think this gonna be a cycle and more of a planar chaos style card where they color shift a card.
If anything, Urborg is the colorshifted one.
I'd consider it similar to Prodigal Pyromancer: Something where the first printing wasn't in the primary color, so the "color shift" moves it to the primary color for the effect.
A blue version of this is definitely warranted. There are so many sea creatures that require islands to attack or even exist. So much that Spreading Seas is used. I'd love an all-encompassing land like this to take care of that. Plus it makes High Tide and Scourge of Fleets powerhouses.
Eh, I hope the others in the cycle (here's to hoping it's a cycle, especially for the sake of a Blue one, which I desperately want) I really hope they choose non-Dominaria locations. I'd love Olantin from Theros to be the Blue one, for example. But I suppose a sunken Tolarian Academy would serve just as well.
That's it, I'm buying out Hidden Path. *Moogic the Gathering* *Bonfire Investments.com*
Anyway, if this had been the beginning of a really strict ciycle, this should have been something with Pendelhaven. And then add cards based on Hammerheim, Tolaria and of course Karakas.
So much potential with this. Baru, Fist of Krosa now reads, "Whenever a land enters the battlefield, green creatures you control get +1/+1 and gain trample until end of turn." Arbor Elf, Llanowar Druid, Patron of the Orochi, and Nissa, Worldwaker can now allow you to untap your opponents lands since they're also Forests due to Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth which is REALLY good for helping someone actually having the mana to cast something to stop another player from comboing off in a EDH / Commander game unless they're "That Guy" who runs Strip Mine / Wasteland to blow up Yavimaya.
Not to mention that it makes having to cast a free spell to stop someone from ending the game like Force of Will or Deflecting Swat become less of a hassle. Kudos to Wizards for solving the problem with players comboing off too early in EDH / Commander. Other than that Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth is a great Forestwalk enabler with Nature's Cloak, Erhnam Djinn, Weatherseed Elf, and Ivy Dancer. Definitely looking to run this in my Nissa, Vastwood Seer EDH / Commander deck when the chance for this becomes more available.

This is a land that will make the cut in Legacy Lands as it let's cards like Maze of Ith, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale, Glacial Chasm and the like or colorless producing lands produce the relevant green mana to cast Life From the Loam more frequently. Urborg had it's place, but a green producing one is ideal for Loam. Interested in how this sifts some Lands decks.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.

Somewhere in the world a shriveled monkey's paw has one finger curl slowly.
WotC now sells a premium bonus set with every set that comes out that is printed in the old border at $15 a half booster.
GAEA'S LIEGE!!!
Which stupidly does not have Forestwalk...
It is clearly a good card, even though I think that the G color is less impactful than B.
Am I a joke to you???
