Why does the code starting with "WOTCC" look oddly straight, while everything else looks more realistically sloped? I know the image is altered, but it looks like the code - and therefore possibly the entire picture - looks "Photoshopped" on.
Not surprising with there being the five schools, or house, or whatever they are calling it in Stryxhaven.
I hope these end up better than the Ikoria ones. While the Cycling deck was worth it the reprints were quite lacking and making them focus on the mechanics/themes of the set weren't great, especially with mutate.
At $40 they are going to have to try real hard to show why these should be $40 while the $20 ones are floating around, they need reprints like Wurmcoil Engine and other high end reprints or cards that haven't seen reprints in a long while, or ever, like Oversold Cemetery (just as an example). Shocklands should really be in these as well by now (at least one in a deck), it's about time.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
That’s what Chinese proxies are for. $3 instead of $40+.
Or I could spend a scrap piece of paper and some ink from a marker and slip it into a sleeve, or just not put a card in a deck because you don't have to play pretend with game pieces.
The only interesting thing to have come out of the last commander cycle were those free to cast cards, and unfortunately they ended up being the majority of the value of each commander pack, which is why they all retain such high value currently.
I hope this product is more than just 1 super powerful card per box and a bunch of jank.
Though, the last time commander at $40 (or less?) that had good reprint value felt like the 4 color commanders all those years ago. Though maybe it looks good now as the market value is so high for everything EDH now.
Well, if the Commander decks fall in line with the Houses in the actual set, and are enemy colored, I would be willing to bet that each enemy color pair has a specialized theme or type of magic (archetypes, mechanics, etc). To make them into full Commander decks, they usually require some preexisting synergies with the mechanics and archetypes that they are focusing on.
We have seen a lot of these themes present before in MtG, especially represented in previous editions of Commander Precons, so I am wondering how Strixhaven will work these enemy colored houses and possibly expand on these themes, or do different themes entirely.
I could easily see this being the direction of each deck, with my guesses on the names for each color pair accordingly:
"Silverquil"WB - Hard to pin the name down, although I could see Silver being related to the moon, and perhaps some sort of "Twilight" esque light/darkness. I would assume maybe also tied with Fliers? "Witherbloom"BG We've seen plenty of Black Green strategies that rely on the graveyard in previous Commander Deck Series, however I am imagining this one to be heavily tied to either counters or tokens in addition to the regular ol' graveyard shenanigans. If my guess is right, Witherbloom is the name of the Black Green House (come on guys, I don't think it's Red White ;)). The name implies some kind of sacrifice for value mechanic, heavily tied to maybe plants or *Fingers Crossed* Saprolings and Treefolk/Fungus. "Lorehold"GU - Another guess on the name, but with "Lore" in the name I would guess that it is somewhat blue, but does not sound like a Red/Blue pair. Not sure what the mechanics would be. Maybe a Draw 2 theme but in Blue/Green again? "Quandrix"UR - Quandrix sounds super Izzet to me, and so I would imagine this is the Red/Blue color pairing. Quandry's definition is something perplexing, and Rix is a word usually to describe reigning or ruling, if I remember correctly. I could see this house focusing heavily on mastering complex spells or something. "Prismari"RW - Another guess, but it does have a Red/White ring to it. Possibly Red and White are like enchantment or artifact focused this time around?

It’s marked as 5 so 5 decks that means commander 2021 is doing the exact same thing Ikoria did but it’s strixhaven this time
i totally called this one so part two of my prediction is each one is to a house and the face legends are their leaders
so what will they be shard or mono?
(Ps sadly each are $40 according to them)

Likely whatever the "house" colors are.
Congrats, you are the king of low-hanging-fruit predictions
If something is expensive I just don't include them in decks.
They are enemy colored decks
wow I thought for sure it would be either shard or mono

Common Themes for Enemy Color Pairs:
WB - Life Gain/Drain, Tokens, Fliers
BG - Graveyard, Sacrifice, Mill
GU - Counters, Ramp, Fatties
UR - Instants/Sorceries, Card Draw, Artifacts
RW - Combat, Tokens, Artifacts
We have seen a lot of these themes present before in MtG, especially represented in previous editions of Commander Precons, so I am wondering how Strixhaven will work these enemy colored houses and possibly expand on these themes, or do different themes entirely.

good news is they are not $40 (for now ofcoarse)
bad news is they not cheaper than the set pre-cons
