i love this guys art, and his ability is really interesting to build around. he feels mythic, without feeling like a staple to every deck that can run him. that's how mythics should be designed.

Kinda has pseudo-Thoughtseize protection. If opponent has you discard it turn one on the play you can at least get a token Swamp for your loss of a card.

this card is BONKERS! you just load up instants and sorceries you pretty much got Mythos of Illuna machine gun now Feather, the Redeemed players are just crying that they can't put this in so jeskai spellslinger decks here we come

If I’m reading it right you can Word of Seizing something (I picked this card because you can get any permanent with it) then all you need to do it target the same permanent with something like chaos warp or beast within and so on you get a permanent token of the thing you took and get rid of the real one
and probably the best card you can use with Orvar is Whim of Volrath (it’s the lowest cmc card with the lowest buyback cost) so this might get expensive because of him

actually because of the “you control” part if I’m reading the card and rules right all you have to do is act of treason effect the permanent you want then target it with another instant/sorcery then you get the token copy of it
Mmmm...I love it. In limited this is a tricky trick to play esp. against discard effects. Only way to really get rid of it early is through Agonizing Remorse.

Largely because the card advantage swing on "murder your dude, make a copy of him" would be ridiculously strong. This way you're at least typically investing cards into getting your copies, not just getting them for free for playing your kill spells as kill spells.
