How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
oooh, if the green god isn't mythic, there is aspot left for the world serpent!
Considering Fenrir is already taking the BG slot, I'd think they'd rather make the giant, poisonous serpent that lives at the bottom of the ocean UB instead (and hopefully Hel as well as a WB legend)
Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.
Eh, I dunno. We already have a 2-mana ramp card with upside in Standard that's not restricted to legends, and the God side is often going to be a 2/4 for 4 mana. The fetch ability is nifty, but slow. I doubt it's constructed material, but maybe if legends matter enough.
The artical shows some name of Gods.
Alrund, God of Wisdom
Reidane, God of Justice
Halvar, God of Battle
Egon, God of Death
Toraf, God of Thunder
Birgi, God of Boasting
Cosima, God of the Sea
Tergrid, God of Fear
Valki, God of Lies
Esika, God of the World Tree
Kolvori, God of Kinship
Jorn, God of Weather
I don't know. Seems too much for just one set. Toraf will take the red God slot (I think).
On the other hand, with them missing on indestructible they act much more like normal creatures. So maybe they can fit more gods this time with some being just rare cards.
This just isn't good... I guess it's semi redundancy for Sissay decks. Sissay just craps all over this card though.

You don‘t waste too much time with searching and shuffling. And you are not able to search for combo pieces. So you don‘t get all the hate of the table as with Sisay.

R- Toraf, God of Thunder and Birgi, God of Boasting
G- Kolvori, God of Kinship and Jorn, God of Weather (who we know is green/part green from Blessing of Frost)
WUBRG- Esika, God of the World Tree (or another green card)
RB Valki, God of Lies/ Tibalt

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
I guess she's meant to be a Baldr parralel? Or maybe Freya or Iduna. Or a composite. The ring is clearly meant to reference Draupnir.
I like the card a lot, although it's not super powerful. I'll be happy to see 12 gods in the set if we get that many. There's no reason it has to be a perfect cycle.

They often will make gods as composites from myth in or twist/mix certain themes from the source material with magic stuff to make a god. When making the Theros gods for example they list out the major greek gods and they mixed and matched them based on the color pie. Heliod was made from wanting a white aligned god and mix and matching white aspects of Zeus and Apollo (and Keranos getting those gods UR aspects). Meanwhile Pharika as base in greek myth with gorgons said in some myths to have blood that can be a poison or a medical but her whole thing of life and death being interwoven is defiantly more magic than greek.
For Kolvori I'm gonna guess Freya and Frigg being a nature and family god but not repeating on Nylea and Rhonas by leaning on the "web of life" "we all connected by nature" kinda feel.

A 5-color god would be cool
i will say it might fit because the teaser said the follow
5-color enchantment and another said “activated ability with WWUUBBRRGG
and I’m assuming each is a separate card
the Enchantment is the tree and the activated ability belonging to Esika
With these many legendary creatures (between all the random explorers and the Gods), there was bound to be a legends-matter card, and here she is.

I'm so excited for the Legendary Snake! Although I hope that it is Black/Green.
Is anybody hankering for a mana rock as a commander?
The green mythic is Vorniclex.
And I'm sure other Sisay decks will like it as well.

It's probably because I'm german, but Egon has to be among the least "godly" names I can imangine...
W(W/U)U Ephara - Flash & Taxes W(W/U)U || B(B/G)G Meren - Circle of Life B(B/G)G
RGW Marath - Ever shifting Wilds RGW || (U/R)C(W/B) Breya - Artificial Dominion (U/R)C(W/B)
UBR Becket Brass - take what you can, give nothing back UBR

the artifact side of it i do like. pretty good for tribal builds though not necessarily in elves
pretty okay at rare

Even if I am german too my first association with Egon is still Egon Spengler from the Ghostbusters.
|| UW Jace, Vyn's Prodigy UW || UG Kenessos, Priest of Thassa (feat. Arixmethes) UG ||
Cards I still want to see created:
|| Olantin, Lost City || Pavios and Thanasis || Choryu ||
The problem: Jorn and Egon. The slot for both are kind of taken.
