Calamity Bearer 2RR
Creature - Giant Berserker
If a Giant source you control would deal damage to a permanent or player, it deals double that damage to that permanent or player instead.
3/4
"Giant source" makes me think the creature types will be able to appear on more than just the creatures (similar to the discontinued Tribal type). Maybe we'll be able to affix creature types to artifacts or something via Runes?
"Giant source" would also apply to damage from Giant cards that are not on the battlefield, for example something like Gempalm Incinerator's cycling trigger.
Real shame that it's another 4 drop for Giant tribal. Curves nicely with Bonecrusher Giant and Crystalline Giant, but competes with Tectonic Giant and escaped Kroxa. It's still a very powerful card though cuz as mentioned above 6/4 for 4 CMC is no joke, and it also gets dangerously silly in multiples very fast. Hopefully we get something other than generic Shapeshifters to fill the 2 mana spot on the curve.
Nice inclusion for Giant tribal. Won't mind pulling it from a pack even though it won't be pricey.

Instead of dealing x damage it would deal 2x+2 damage. If equipped with Embercleave for an additional y damage, it would deal 2(x+y)+2.
Not that this will ever happen, but with Fiery Emancipation it would deal six times the damage for a base of 18. In any event, I can see Bonecrusher Giants (which already shows up almost everywhere) and Shatterskull Chargers as far as the eye can see, with a spash of black for Kroxa. I suppose you could round out that deck with Unleash Fury and/or Furor of the Bitten for a little extra punishment--use the aura first and then the instant to present the threat of 20 damage..
That same public information could make this one fake though. Not to speak to any of the others. As long as we don't have them confirmed by Wizards anyone or more could be a fake.

Overall seems really good for giant tribal.
That or they are accounting for the few tribal giant spells that do damage. We have seen a creature type on equipment before, though with Tribal shenanigans, so perhaps we'll see more.
Just want to know what's up with the slow roll in the spoilers. If someone cracked some packs early, post them all at once & stop with the cutesy passive-aggressive one at a time business.

Technically these are leaks, not spoilers. Frankly they seem like planned "leaks" by WotC with this one or two a day rate and all rares or mythics. A true leak would have been a huge glut of cards at all rarities. Notice not one peep from WotC about "Why leaks hurt" this go around.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

The Commander Legends leaker didn't slow-roll, but did get punished by Wizards as far as I've heard. It's understandable if future leakers with cards slow-roll as a result.

Honestly, all these leaks combined already look like a huge glut of cards - enough that the large variety of mentioned mechanics between them can be coincidence.
I've never heard or read proof that any leaks are planned, and Wizards's current silence can easily be explained by this being their holiday break. The Mothership's Articles page has had much-reduced activity this holiday break, and I'd bet that any holiday updaters of it got overtime pay.
Torbran: your opponent chooses the order of the modifications, if the creature is attacking your opponent then it will probably always deal 2xPower + 2, but if your opponent wants to take that extra damage i guess he could order torbran to aply first then the giant: 2x(power+2)=2power + 4
4/10/2019 If another effect modifies how much damage your red source would deal, including preventing some of it, the player being dealt damage or the controller of the permanent being dealt damage chooses an order in which to apply those effects. If all of the damage is prevented, Torbran’s effect no longer applies
With Embercleave you would have to assign the damage before counting on trample or double strike. For trample it will always be over kill.
(for trample you first have to assign damage that will be enough to kill the creature, without counting those effects, if it had Death touch you can count it (1 damage in each blocker and the rest to your opponent))(the blocking creatures will take more damage then they need to be killed most of the time, and you opponent will only take doubles +2 from damage that you assigned to them, see exemples bellow)
>For exemple, you have an 2/2 equiped with embercleave (3/3 now) and your opponent blocks with an 3/3 you have to assign all 3 damage in the first strike damage phase to that creature ( it will be deal 3*2 +2 =8 damage) that extra damage will not trample over, in the normal damage phase, as there is no more creatures alive blocking you will deal full damage ==8.
>Another exemple, same creature (a 3/3 double strike trample), if your opponent blocks with 3 4/4 creatures then you can assing (in first strike damage phase) 1 damage to each of those 4/4, that 1 damage will be doubled then added 2, in total 4 damage. In the normal damage phase you would again deal full damage (8).
>But if your opponent blocks with four 4/4, in the first strike phase you can only assign 3 points of damage, soo look the exemple above. Now in the normal damage phase there will be one 4/4 still alive, and thus you will have to assign all 3 damage to it, soo it will take 8 damage (and this damage will not trample over)
>If you attack with the 3/3 and your opponent blocks with a 1/1: you will assign 1 damage to the creature, and the 2 extra you can assign to your opponent. In the first strike damage phase that 1/1 will be dealt 4 damage (2*1 +2) and your opponent will be dealt 6 ( 2*2 +2). The creature will die and in the normal damage phase you will assign full damage (8)

Ah, so maybe it's worded that way for a foretell effect.

WotC would never admit they did it if they did. So no, you won't ever read or hear proof until someone who was on the inside now looking in rats them out.
Is this the case here? Somebody knows but it is NOT out of the realm of possibility. 'nuff said.

That is considering only Standard, of course. Cartouche of Zeal and Two-Headed Giant in Pioneer; this type of deck is way too slow for Modern but Thundercloud Shaman would be hilarious.

Anyway the card it’s self since mono red nice inclusion for Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas
Sad thing is, the "good changelings" requirement does not bode well for the dream of a single sided board wipe from Realm-Cloaked Giant.

Even though I am tired of the Stompy giant in standard, I do like the idea of a Giant deck in standard. Maybe Green Blue Red?

That would be a Giant source of joy for me, too. However, they are already introducing
•Phyrexian as a creature type
•Non-permanent Snow cards
•Runes
•Foretell
•Boast
while also bringing back
•DFCs
•Vehicles
•Protection (instead of the simpler Hexproof)
•Sagas
so I'm not hodling my breath for Tribal being in this, too.
Who knows, though.
