The Week of Metal begins with the last 4 Pathways: the WU Hengegate/Mistgate Pathway, the BR Blightstep/Searstep Pathway, the BG Darkbore/Slitherbore Pathway, and the GU Barkchannel/Tidechannel Pathway,
EDIT: Added all the Pathways in standard and showcase forms
I think I like the standard frame art more (on the U/W pathways. They were the only ones pictured at the time). I am liking the bleak, misty look of the plane. Reminds me of Innistrad but still retains its own feel, especially with the borealis.
Aware of Mastodon although I haven't really listened to their stuff. Glad to see the cycle completed for sure.
Someone poke me if Metallica, Judas Priest, Megadeth or KISS get a preview.

Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

So we know the elves are in G/B, split between two factions. Can we infer other tribes or focuses to match the other three pathways based off of what we know so far?
The six pathways in Zendikar were supposed to match up with the party tribe mechanics? Will these four in Kaldheim match preplanned mechanics or or they just leftovers dumped into the new set?

Black Beskir and red Tuskeri forming two halves of a Warrior faction, maybe?

Heck, every day I wake up, I don't go out and kill people - and I'm rewarded by not having legions of enemies! Amazing how that works.
Although ninjas are experts of camouflage and concealment, they are actually horrible liars. This means that no matter where you are, you can shout out, “Are there any ninjas here?” and if there’s a ninja within earshot, he’ll be compelled to respond.

Me too. I love the art on both sides too. I wonder if, since there are multiple realms on this plane, the main one is the snow one, and the others are different, illustrated in pathways.

Trolls could be interesting. My mind immediately went to a shaman tribe like the Temur in Tarkir but it would probably be too redundant. Have we seen any trolls so far?

Protection from reason (Decadent_Creed can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by reason.)
The flavor of the Pathway lands is a bit odd to me. I feel like they should have been designed artwise to be two sides of the same hiking trail, but they don't appear to share similarities between the two sides ever. So barkchannel/tidechannel at least has some things going on that link the two, even if one is bible stuff (Part Water returns???)

There are some similarities. At least in the full art versions. The mist on hengegate appears to be the same shape as the river on mistgate. On the RB one the character is hopping from safe spot to safe spot in both. In the GB one the light spots appear to be similar on both sides.

surprised the zendikar version's aren't shown as well (ultimate secret lair 2)

The Vorthos community will await the consequences of the Eldrazi Titans' deaths/sealing. We will keep the watch.

The full art Bark/Tide Channel pathway looks great though and that makes me happy. I'll have to pick a few of those up for my decks that run UG.
Something tells me "Revlon Disco Clown" isn't the vibe WotC is going for with Kaldheim.
The ohers were definitely Rhapsody of fire and Amon Amarth. And then... Torche?? Ocean of slumber... or so? And something else I did not know.
So I daresay the bands you mention were beyond WOTC's budget.
I’m 99% sure UW will be spirits.
NEED
|| UW Jace, Vyn's Prodigy UW || UG Kenessos, Priest of Thassa (feat. Arixmethes) UG ||
Cards I still want to see created:
|| Olantin, Lost City || Pavios and Thanasis || Choryu ||
I hope all the characters quoted on these lands get cards, although I bet some will be left out.
Maybe UG Trolls and BR Dwarves?
