Non-living? What do you mean? Asatru has 1,5-2 mln followers now.
I'm more thinking to the ancient regions and not so much neopaganism but fair point.

Maybe we have a 4-Faction setting in Kaldheim? I mean we have some evidence for that. 4 MDFC-Lands and the leaked figures were a Wolf, Snake, Odin-Like dude and an Winged Woman. I believe that Ixalan was like that. Vampire, Pirates, Merfolk and Humans.
The MDFC-Lands missing in Zendikar were Azorius, Golgari, Rakdos and Simic.
Reidane just from the look of her would be Azorius. She was called Goddess of Justice so she has to be at least white.
Alrund is more difficult but i think that the Snake and the Wolf would be Golgari/Rakdos so just Simic is left. He was called God of Wisdom which fits the color combination (at least blue). The Snake and the Wolf were just called Cosmo but they need to be gods right? I mean Fenrir and Jörmungandr are important figures mythology wise. They kind of feel different than the other two, tho. Maybe we have a cycle of gods and 2-3 multicolor 'gods' or cosmic beings or something like that?
A general theme with the norse mythology is sacrifice/tribute/offer to the gods. I am not sure that will be the theme with them but it would fit. They might go the modal route. I would be shocked if they only had 4 gods. I think the norse gods are more popular than egyptian gods in pop culture so i am gonna stick with the 10 god theory hopefully in tricolor themes.

They weren't with Ixalan factions' structure, i don't think we will have something similar in Kaldheim

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I'm glad to see Kaya again, personally (hopefully, she'll get a decent card this time). She's one of the few examples of a "rogue" archetype whom I actually like, and I was glad when she killed the Obzedat. It does seem odd to have her as the face of a Norse mythology set, though, and it really makes me wonder who the other two planeswalkers will be. Presumably, one will be a Kaldheim native, but that still leaves an open slot, and given that there was perfect color balance for Zendikar, thw other two being split between blue, red, and green would make sense. Perhaps a mono-red dwarf planeswalker and a GU planeswalker? I could see Kiora being on the plane, since there are presumably sea monsters around.

I am curious about the planes design.
