The card, super cool.
The art? Lame. Was really hoping they'd give her the dumb cat-legs she got in the books. It's such a WTF moment in those novels that is never shown in any of the art.
Out of the entire characters I would have chosen from Onslaught block I would have chosen Karona over Akroma. Karona needs a better card that represents her better. Cards here are good though.

Something is different with her legs, tho.
The will is cool. Instant that gives protection from all colors and indestructible for protection or flying, vigilance and double strike for a alpha strike.
Akroma herself is what I feared. Good old keyword soup on steroids. The thing is I don't know if I want to have a commander with 7 CC in the commander zone. One which requires a specific board to be impactfull. Interesting that they kept trample on her and not haste. She could fit in the Odric, Lunarch Marshal keyword soup deck if that is still a thing. As Partner I think we should consider something with green... To be able to ramp a little. Gilanra, Caller of Wirewood seems okayish. Green has creatures with many keywords, too. Majestic Myriarch, Questing Beast, Elder Gargaroth, End-Raze Forerunners, Ramunap Hydra.
I was hoping for something more interesting... Well at least she is better than Radiant.
Edit: Well her old card would received +6/+6 from the new Akromas effect.
White mythics are disappointing. It's as if the developers want to repeat the same old chant numerous times, thinking it'd make the song more powerful or interesting, rather than creating new, innovative work.

The extra-spiky feet have me believe this version of Akroma is much later in the Odyssey/Onslaught story, where her legs get amputated and she replaces them with knives. That being said, she's a finisher. DO NOT cast her unless you are ready to knock someone out, then keep her around for the potential blowback from other players, as she boosts every combat.
The Will is great because it will get damage through no matter what, but the best part is the mana cost. Anyone want to pull it out of their deck with Sunforger?

I think so, too. She is wielding a spear as weapon instead of a sword. And the spear has similarities to the staff/wand Ixidor is wielding Ixidor, Reality Sculptor.
Ops I miss read her.

I thought her replacement leg came from an animal
Those were her first replacements, when she went full centaur with the lower half of a jaguar/panther. These are her second prosthetics, because her legs grew back or something.
She was swallowed by a deathworm or something like that and the acid/digestive juice in the worm burned her legs and other things. But for some reason her body could heal but the animal part didn't. So she used swords as legs after that... (If I remember correctly)

Good lord, that book series was a weird one. I should reread it, think I've got them at home somewhere.

So this set is a love letter to Otaria, I guess. My favorite Magic setting, so I'm not disappointed!
Wish we could have gotten a new Phage though. One that is easier to actually play as a commander.
Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger
Omnath, Locus of Rage
Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy
Toshiro Umezawa
Thraximundar
Jirina Kudro
Geist of Saint Traft
Krark, the Thumbless + Sakashima of a Thousand Faces
This site has me constantly saying "Some peoples' kids"

Really, really hoped for the white mythic be Daria of the Nine Titans.
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)

Yes, hence why she’s so good in Kathril, she doubles his bonuses (and feeds his hunger for keywords).
So how does the partner ability she would gave to other creaturès affect them?
She doesn't give the effects to others. They gain +1/+1 if they have partner.
Also as fun in Odric, Lunarch Marshal
