Can someone please explain what the stone actually does?
It let's you charge up mana. For example, at the end of the turn before your own, you could tap all of your lands and such for all of the mana you could make, and instead of that mana just going away, it would become colorless, but still available to spend. If you didn't spend it as phases ended, it would stay around to be spent later.
wow this blows my mind. I never actually read the text of kruphix before. No where on the bloody card does it mention that the mana 'floats' between phases!
Omnath makes perfect sense because they spell it out, but kruphix is baffling. Anyone care to explain it better why this works in rules?

It creates an effect that changes what happens when you don't spend mana as turns, phases, and steps end. Instead of losing that mana as normal, it becomes colorless. It's spelled out.
You could always pull up the comprehensive rules and search for unspent mana, or pull up the Gatherer page for Kruphix, which has an identical effect, and see what it says there for further info. I'm not really sure which specific part of the card is causing the confusion so I don't know how to help clear it up, unfortunately. Sorry.
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/statement-regarding-noah-bradley-2020-06-22 Wizards has cut ties with him over inappropriate sexual conduct. Horizon Stone is likely one of the cards they refer to in that article. So it's unlikely we'll ever get a reprint of this particular art of Horizon Stone, but if they do need to reprint it they'll most likely commission new art.
So they cut ties with him. Whatever, I won't feel morally wrong to get cards featuring his work, he's already been paid for them anyway.
I don’t either. I love his work and I don’t care about politics in my MTG. If the art is good, it’s good.
Agreed. People need to separate a piece of art from the artist who created it.
Unfortunately, cancel culture fueled by anger, personal politics, social insecurity, moral superiority, and virtue signalling from the media representing a small (but vocal) minority (most of whom aren't even cultured enough to have a firm understanding of what makes art good, which is oftentimes its controversial and interpretive nature or its inherent ability to shock) has become the "new normal" (I despise that term but feel inclined to use it) which has now invaded sports, and censored art (if not creative artistic expression at its core regarding the arbitrarily offensive or rather objectionable cards ban list), something which I find deeply upsetting and disappointing (particularly as an artist). However, that was a topic already discussed at length in another thread which I don't particularly want to revisit in more detail again today.
All that to say.... Good Card!
My advice...Buy foil copies whilst cheap even more so knowing they'll never reprint this original art.
What's interesting is that when I first saw it, I was reminded of Bösium Strip, which coincidentally is also on the reserved list.
What are the odds?

The clause "you lose this mana as the turn or phase ends" is being replaced with "this mana becomes colorless".
