Neat, a lot of combo potential. Mana ability of artifacts, lands or creatures don't use the stack right, so they can't be copied? OTOH, this copies PW abilities, for a cheaper cost than the the chain veil

Correct. Mana abilities in general resolve before anyone gets priority, so they're never on the stack when you can target them. It's worth noting that there are a handful of abilities that generate mana that aren't mana abilities, such as Priest of Forgotten Gods, Mana Echoes, and Koth of the Hammer's -2, so those can be copied. But for the most part, stuff like Elvish Archdruid and Forsaken Monument's triggered ability won't be targettable.
This is an interesting card, It's a Rings of Brightmirari. Breaking it by generating a ton of mana somehow and having repeatable ways of untapping it will be fun. Interesting use of copying permanent spells, I hope we see more of that.
oh, and for those claiming this'll eat the ban hammer in edh... yeah no it won't.
we already see the first two copy effects on multiple things within the format, and that's not game breaking. copying permanents is also nothing new and there are far more combos that exploit that more easily without breaking the format...
that you have to pay mana and tap it down really limits it. honestly, i don't think it even makes the cut in a lot of decks. it'll be that hot new artifact everyone jams into all their edh decks for a few weeks after release, then promptly cuts because its just not doing enough. like they did with strionic resonator.
Wait a moment... how many mythics are in this set, anyways?
The normal is 15, right?
So far, we have 5 lands (presumably) + 3 planeswalkers + Omnath + Drana + Tazri + Moraug + Stormcaller + Leyline Tyrant + The Eldrazi Callback card + This guy = 16?
Is this a 20 mythic set?
Sets with DFCs across all rarities tend to have more mythics. Innistrad had 16, Dark Ascension had 14, Shadows had 18, and Eldritch Moon had 15. For comparison, normal large sets had 15 mythics, and normal small sets had 12.

Notably, the number of "extra" mythics seems to correlate with the number of double faced mythics, with Innistrad only having 1 mythic DFC, Dark Ascension having 2, Shadows having 3, and Eldritch Moon having 2. Of those, only Eldritch moon had a different number of "extra" mythics than DFC's, probably explained by Bruna, the Fading Light showing up in searches for Mythic rarity, despite being a normal rare. So with a full 5 card cycle of mythic DFC's, we should probably expect 20 mythics in this set.

You’re right. I guess we might get 5 MFDC mythics + 15 normal this time. Also just realized I forgot the green mythic that makes things land when I counted.
I wonder how this interacts with Auras or the Mutate mechanic - if you copy an Aura or mutating creature spell, would both have to go on the same target? The final mode says nothing about 'pick new targets'.

yeah, seems like you'd have to make both auras target the same permanent.
Just go nuts and double everything.

Its
Strionic Resonator and rings of brighthearth and Mirari and Clever Impersonator maker (nonland) all in one card
In other words will this see the ban hammer in commander
No.
This isn't remotely close to being as bad as Paradox Engine.
its okay. i like that it can copy permanents.

while its on the stack
It says on the card, the copy becomes a token.
