Yasharn, Relentless Earth 2GW
Legendary Creature - Elemental Boar
When Yasharn, Relentless Earth enters the battlefield, search your library for up to one basic Forest card and up to one basic Plains card, reveal those cards, put them into your hand then shuffle your library.
Players can't pay life or sacrifice nonland permanents to cast spells or activate abilities. (Anyone know what the flavor text says?)
4/4
This will probably make a huge splash in Historic. A 4/4 for four that grabs two lands is good enough, but with so many Sacrifice decks (be they Goblins, Bolas's Citadel, or RakdosSacrifice). I am really happy to see a hate card like this. I was thinking how great it would be to have this effect.

Interesting mix of disconnected abilities and flavor, but it's certainly a good utility card. That seems to be the presiding feeling from the previews thus far. Aside from a couple interesting things, it's mostly been "not impressive or flashy, but has its uses" and the related "I guess Limited needs this" to the point where it's barely worth it to comment on the cards. Yasharn at least will have impacts in a couple formats for shutting down very common strategies.
Even outside the last ability, a Commander landfall deck in GW with him at the helm could be interesting.
It absolutely should say "permanents" instead of "nonland" , then it would kick the fetchlands in the knee and knock them off.
As it is, way more narrow hate card, instead of an overall good one.
The paying life clause already stops fetchlands.

If it does kinda reads weird with it being in once sentence and "non-land permanent".
So if this hates on fetchlands for real, this will be a lot better.
in a format without fetches?
a lot of these cards so far feel like they designed the set with fetches in mind for being reprint, then decided to make them a premium reprint that's not standard legal to sell more boxes. like they were yanked out at the last second. either from lack of faith in the set, or fear of reduced sales due to covid. it definitely feels like a slap to the customer.
A year ago everybody complained about the powerlevel being to high. If they then decided: "Hey, we can reduce the powerlevel and still sell packs by reprinting the fetchlands that our players want for value" that seems to be doing exactly what the customers want.
They don't want a lot of fetches in Standard because of gameplay reasons (that's also why they are banned in Pioneer). Reprinting the fetches for people who play other formats is good for customers.
This card is really great design. It's powerful and an answer to other powerful stuff but not powerful enough to be a overpowered.
This guy really feels like a solution to problems that won't exist in the standard he enters. Mayhem devil rotates, cauldron cat is banned, fetches don't exist. He really feels like a way to damage control pioneer if those decks were to get out of control - similar to the anti fires of progress xard we saw earlier.
Yeah, hoses sac decks, but...really underwhelming card. No vigilance, no trample, I guess you could abuse the ETB trigger if you wanted to but there are better ways to ramp. Pretty dull, for a gold card, really.

Fun fact if you have ashaya in play you can sac your creatures again
and it still turns off the fetchlands because of the life pay part not the sac part
I came here to post the exact same thing. I don't really get the flavor or connection between the card and its abilities. Neat art, and a strong card.
It's flavor says:
"On his footprints the inert powder became fertile soil."
Or something like that.
As for the card itself, yeah I'll just agree with the posts above. Powerful but kinda random? At least it's another Legendary Boar.
Even outside the last ability, a Commander landfall deck in GW with him at the helm could be interesting.
