And no it's not like card previews it's probably similar to how they started with throne of eldraine with only pictures and only giving minor info on the set
Probably also gonna reveal the next 4 sets (and who the walker choice for core 2022 is)
They seem to like Long Term Plans these days—
sort of like how we have 2-3 cards from Double Masters even though it’s still a ways off.
It releases in less than a month.
Yeah, but we got the first card spoils like a month ago,
with no new info since then (aside from the possible leak).
My point was that nowadays, they seem to like giving a tiny taste of spoilers for sets that won’t be out for a couple of months.
It’s probably their way of combatting the Covid blues.
I imagine there will be some vague hints at least as to what mechanical themes we might expect. Like Eldraine's cardless preview set up the Courts vs Wilds conflict which appears mechanically with knights and the adamant mechanic vs nonhuman theme with food.
Get ready for some speculating!
We will see some artwork and get a release date, doesn't look too bad, however I think MR will reveal a PW my best bet is the Nissa Golgari card, when it comes to next years sets, I expect to see them in the stream where they will reveal the Zendikar Rising trailer like last year with ELD

Cool. Will there be lots of marketing material identifying the cards just waiting for enough sales before the banhammer?
Hopefully we won't see another simic broken card, can't even play arena right now, thanks to temur reclamation shenenigans
But knowing wizards I will fully expect something like this to happen Counter target spell, gain 3 life draw a card and put 1 land from your hand into the battlefield, I hope I'm wrong but Zendikar will just give simic and mono green more broken cards, and with landfall coming into play simic could become even more OP, Standard is a really crappy environment rn

Our last visit to Zendikar had green's power level equal to its power level in the 90s (think the complete opposite of green now) and gave white its last format-warping card. We can't really call it this early, even with the leaks.
I'm glad it's only one set. Battle and Oath are the worst Magic sets i've ever seen.
They’re pretty bad, but both Theros sets are abysmal from a power level perspective.
The original Theros set was one of the worst since like Prophecy,
though the Mythics helped it a bit.

Oh boo hoo... Simic suffered through almost 20 years of total irrelevance after the original flash in the pan, GU Madness. God forbid we actually have the most broken card in a few formats for once. Oko, Uro, and Krasis are the harbingers of a less *****ty Simic to come, and I strongly dislike how they’ve been singled out for hating on.

A few formats? The only format Oko and Uro haven't proceeded to take a giant dump on is Pauper. Sure, it's nice to see Simic do something that isn't just +1/+1 counters again, but when the best deck in every format, from Vintage to Standard to casual Commander, is some sort of GUX ramp deck that runs the same cards, then there's a problem.

The current Theros set is prefectly fine for power level. It has cards that are played in multiple formats including one banned in Legacy.
I think development killed original Theros by overcosting most cards and abilities, although the gods were amazing as was sealed. The art was so amazing. Vibrant. It was like Greek myth meets Lorwyn vibrancy and Kamigawa theme both done right, but overcosted
I’m anticipating Kiora based on her departing to Zendikar after WOTS and she being long overdue to appear. I wonder what her motives will be now? Repair her plane alongside Nissa? Perhaps we will see more of Kiora’s family. Like Turi.
I am really excited for Zendikar to be adventure world. Artwork is fine by me as a Vorthos. I’ll play anything I like

The plans are so long that I forget Double Masters is coming out all of the time and even forgot what Jumpstart was for months.

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
If we get the zendikar rising trailer here then we will see the 4 upcoming standard sets
