Soul Sear 2R
Instant
Soul Sear deals 5 damage to target creature or planeswalker. That permanent loses indestructible until end of turn. There was no witty retort, no confident boast to accompany the attack. There was only pain.
Amazing removal for Limited. Maybe sideboard material for Constructed?

I agree, this looks good enough for Constructed, right now Fry will do a better job killing Baneslayer Angel in Red, but depending on the metagame the ability to hit all colors may earn this card some SB slots.
So this is a Cycle of conditional Planeswalker Removal at uncommon that is, more than we ever seen in a set ever, most likely green one will be fighting esque a creature or planeswalker and blue can either be a counterspell or a bounce card, seems neat.
Really like this option for red, hoping they dont use it too frequently moving forward however or indestructible becomes far less potent
I think we seen one such card every standard rotation or so.

Except they get to plus one the turn they cast it.....
This is an instant....and +1 is a sorcery for everyone but T4feri. So you get a chance.
No you don't get a chance to kill Nissa with this after they play her, once Nissa resolves her controller still has priority, so they "pay" +1 loyalty to put her ability on the stack, and only then you can respond to it, and by that moment she's got 6 loyalty. Adding/removing loyalty counters is a cost, not an effect of the loyalty ability.

Great card, and at Instant, too.
Yeah. I like it as an effect in red's toolkit. And I don't think we have to worry about it being too prevalent.
